Enzo returned to his seat.
The woman had nothing to do with him. Fundamentally, she was Violet’s concern.
As he smoked a cigarette and sipped his coffee, he kept his eyes on Violet.
So far, the only change was the black markings on her body, which continued to emit a faint glow. Nothing else had happened.
Time seemed to crawl by.
The longer he waited, the more restless and impatient he became.
"Hm...?"
Once again, he was caught by surprise.
The white-haired woman had entered the café.
From his balcony, he could naturally see inside the café. Part of the wall was made entirely of glass, although it appeared dark from the inside.
Enzo couldn’t help watching her.
This woman was no ordinary person.
If she chose the balcony next to his, he wouldn’t feel safe.
There was a chance she might sense something unusual.
Fortunately, his worries proved unnecessary.
Instead, she casually chose a random table inside the café, ordered a plate of French fries and a cup of coffee, then took out a tablet and a laptop, placing both on the table.
At that distance, Enzo no longer felt concerned.
He shifted his attention back to Violet, occasionally glancing at the clock.
As the final minutes approached, excitement began to build inside him.
Exactly one hour later, the glow disappeared.
DING!
(After consuming a piece of Primordial Monster Meat, Violet Muller’s Strength Attribute has permanently increased by 25%! Continue consuming it to increase it even further!)
[Name: Violet Muller]
[Level: 13]
[EXP: 450,500/500,000]
[Strength: 66 +25%] [Agility: 90 ×3 +20%] [Intelligence: 83] [Vitality: 60 +20%]
Enzo’s lips parted in disbelief.
Permanently.
That was the most important part.
And it was a full 25%.
Agility and Vitality had only increased by 20%, and those bonuses weren’t permanent. They would disappear the moment Violet took off her outfit.
’So this is what creates the gap between people at the same level, even when they’re fighting without relying on talents or skills,’ Enzo thought.
His father was living proof of that.
Without opportunities like this, reaching truly high levels remained incredibly difficult, no matter how extraordinary someone’s talent was.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Violet stored the table and chairs.
Enzo believed they were antiques and wanted to keep them.
Perhaps antique collectors would value them highly.
"Now then... which one should we kill next?" he muttered.
He spotted several monsters in the distance.
One of them was especially noticeable—a gigantic elephant.
Elephants were his favorite animals.
Naturally, he couldn’t bring himself to kill one.
Instead, he guided Violet toward another monster that still wasn’t clearly visible.
The increase in her Strength was so obvious that even Enzo could feel the difference.
Her next attack would undoubtedly be much more powerful.
"Oh... what’s that?"
Enzo stared in astonishment when he finally saw Violet’s target.
It was a gigantic blue sphere, as large as a truck.
Its entire body was made of thick slime.
Appearance-wise, it looked exactly like a slime.
More precisely, it could be called a Giant Slime.
However, Enzo had never heard of such a monster before.
That meant it was a rare monster.
DING!
(Level 17 Monster!)
Its level turned out to be lower than he had expected.
’Let’s record this.’
Violet released her drones, which immediately flew away.
They looked exactly like insects.
Naturally, the monster paid them no attention since countless tiny insects already surrounded it.
If the monster wasn’t interesting enough, Enzo wouldn’t bother having Violet record the battle.
After that, Violet advanced toward the slime-like creature.
It floated through the air, although it didn’t seem capable of flying very high.
Without the ability to float, there was no way it could move at all, considering it didn’t have a single leg.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Violet fired several Mana Threads toward the slime.
"Hm...?"
She froze.
The threads felt as though they had struck water.
There was nothing solid to latch onto.
When she tightened them further, they simply passed straight through the slime’s body.
Violet couldn’t help looking awkward.
After all...
She had already revealed herself.
The slime’s large, round eyes turned toward her.
Whatever it was thinking, it still looked strangely adorable.
Then its open mouth suddenly shot out a long blue tongue, coated in mucus that looked slightly smoky.
For some reason...
It gave Enzo an intense sense of danger.
That meant it was genuinely dangerous.
Whoosh!
Violet leaped onto a tree branch.
The tongue struck the tree behind her.
The entire tree instantly evaporated into smoke.
Even its roots weren’t spared, as smoke rose from beneath the ground itself.
This wasn’t merely dangerous.
It was terrifying.
Whoosh!
Violet hurled her crimson axe toward the slime’s mouth.
Ever since its tongue had emerged, the area around its mouth seemed to have condensed into something solid.
Enzo suspected that was its true weak point.
However, before the axe could reach its target, another tongue suddenly shot out and struck it.
Buzz!
The axe instantly melted.
It didn’t turn into smoke.
Instead, it became molten metal.
Clearly, even that terrifying attack had its limits.
Shua!
Violet launched another Mana Thread toward the first tongue, which was still fully extended.
The result was exactly the same.
It evaporated on contact.
She shook her head.
It was completely useless.
Enzo began worrying that even her dagger and spear might be damaged if they touched the slime’s tongue.
Unfortunately, this slime obviously wasn’t made of ordinary water.
Otherwise, Violet would have been able to control it directly.
"But I have to think creatively," Violet said, following Enzo’s instructions.
She directly converted her Mana into water.
It consumed an enormous amount of Mana, but she had no choice.
There wasn’t any water nearby for her to manipulate.
She used the water to coat her dagger.
Whether it worked or not, there was no harm in trying.
Perhaps the water could at least weaken the tongue’s corrosive effect.
Whoosh!
Violet charged straight toward the slime.
So what if its tongue was dangerous?
Enzo was completely confident that Violet could dodge it.
Especially since he was personally controlling her through the System screen.
The moment Violet attacked, the slime fired three more tongues at her.
It seemed capable of producing new tongues endlessly, so long as its mouth wasn’t already full.
