Violet entered Invisible Mode the moment Enzo spotted them.

"So this is Ant Mountain?" Bryan asked.

The two of them walked forward at a brisk pace and soon arrived in front of the mountain, close enough for Violet to hear their conversation.

"It should be," Charlotte replied calmly.

"When is that woman coming? We waited behind the Sanctuary gate for an hour, and she still didn’t show up." Bryan sounded rather annoyed.

"Powerful people have their own schedules. Just be patient."

They weren’t the only ones who had arrived early.

Several other groups had gathered nearby.

A moment later, Enzo saw Wyatt arrive alone.

His eyes were filled with anticipation as he stared at Ant Mountain.

After all, he was an Awakener with an A-Class Talent.

With that kind of talent, he was never destined to remain stuck at Level 18 forever. On top of that, his Talent was quite unique, allowing him to fly.

His trauma, however, was another matter entirely.

It seemed he wanted to overcome it.

Perhaps he could... if he managed to obtain another A-Class Talent.

Unfortunately for him, he made one mistake.

Violet quietly approached him from behind, her gaze fixed on his back.

She was Level 15, while Wyatt was only Level 18. Their stats shouldn’t differ by much, especially since Violet was receiving additional attributes from Enzo.

’Let’s start with Instant Death.’

Enzo doubted it would kill Wyatt outright.

At most, it would weaken him to the point where he couldn’t do anything, unlike last time when he had still been able to fly.

The moment Instant Death was activated, Wyatt staggered forward, suddenly looking like a heavily intoxicated man who had lost control of his own body.

Shua!

Violet appeared behind him and shoved him to the ground.

His face slammed into the dirt.

She grabbed both of his arms, forced them behind his back, then planted a foot firmly on him.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye.

The surrounding Awakeners were stunned, their eyes widening in disbelief.

"You...!"

Wyatt was the most shocked of all.

He had been searching everywhere for Violet.

He had even teamed up with Augus. The latter had been aggressively hunting her down after she killed the monster he had captured.

Yet after searching the entire Sanctuary throughout the night, they hadn’t found a single trace of her.

No one had even seen her leave.

And now...

She suddenly appeared and was standing on his back.

The sheer absurdity of the situation left Wyatt completely dumbfounded.

"You escaped last time," Violet said with a mocking smile.

"But you won’t this time."

Her hand moved to his storage ring.

She forcibly erased its ownership mark before binding it to herself.

Wyatt’s face turned pale.

Pinned to the ground while enduring Instant Death, he found that even speaking was nearly impossible.

At most, he could utter a single short word.

Nothing more.

Inside the ring were the B-Class spear he had used yesterday...

A B-Class shield forged from thick steel...

And finally...

A fragment of a black fire crystal.

It wasn’t complete.

The flames radiating from it constantly formed terrifying skulls with grotesque expressions.

The first two items didn’t interest Violet.

However, the moment she saw the black crystal, her expression turned serious.

It was obviously a treasure.

One that couldn’t be used casually.

DING!

(Hell Fire Crystal, an S-Class External Power. Requires an A-Class Fire Controller Talent or a similar Talent to merge with your body!)

(Warning: The Hell Fire Crystal you have obtained is only one of three incomplete fragments. It cannot be fused until the remaining two fragments are collected!)

The two notifications appeared before Enzo’s eyes, causing him to reveal a strange expression.

Of course, obtaining an S-Class treasure from an Awakener who had long since stopped leveling because of trauma would have been too fortunate.

Still...

One-third of an S-Class treasure was already an incredible gain.

"How does it feel," Violet asked with a cold smile, "to play the villain only to end up victimized by the very person you were targeting... before you even managed to do anything to them?"

Wyatt gasped for breath.

Seeing that he could barely endure it anymore, Violet slightly reduced the power of Instant Death.

"You’ll regret this," Wyatt finally managed to say.

After giving up leveling, becoming a casino owner, and joining the Night Valley Organization, he had always been the one bullying others.

Never had he been humiliated like this.

And certainly not in front of so many witnesses.

His rage was impossible to suppress.

Meanwhile, everyone else simply watched.

Most of them had witnessed yesterday’s confrontation, so they understood exactly why this fight had broken out.

"I was hoping you’d say that."

"What a shame..."

"There are so many witnesses here."

Violet smiled faintly.

Then she took out Wyatt’s own spear.

"You... What are you doing?"

Shua!

Before he could finish speaking, Violet thrust the spear straight through his thigh without the slightest hesitation.

The spear pierced clean through.

Wyatt’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"AAAHHH...!"

A miserable scream burst from his mouth.

If someone killed another Awakener and got caught, they would never escape the consequences.

It wasn’t that Enzo considered murder a trivial matter.

But from his perspective...

He was simply playing a game.

Shua!

Violet pulled the spear back out.

Blood immediately gushed from the wound.

Fortunately for Wyatt, as a Level 18 Awakener, his Vitality was high enough to instantly stop the bleeding by sealing the ruptured blood vessels.

The wound itself, however, wouldn’t heal anytime soon.

Violet stepped off his back.

She retreated a few steps and withdrew Instant Death completely.

Wyatt scrambled to his feet.

A pair of wings erupted from his back, and he immediately flew toward the Sanctuary, one injured leg dangling beneath him.

"Did you see that?" Charlotte said to Bryan.

"Even if you’re stronger than him, I think you’d end up the same way."

"You only know how to attack."

The two of them had remained spectators throughout the entire incident.

Charlotte stayed perfectly calm.

Bryan, on the other hand, frowned over and over again.
