A truly enormous underground chamber, filled with countless gigantic eggs.
Yet none of that was particularly fascinating compared to the colossal serpent before them—a creature so enormous that the only word capable of describing it was unimaginable.
Its body was incredibly long, coiling around the entire underground chamber.
Just the height of its body, from its belly to its back, was probably around fifty meters.
At that height, humans were nothing more than tiny ants in comparison.
As for its total length, it was impossible to estimate. It might have been more than ten thousand meters long.
Its head was enormous, and its mouth was wide open, giving the impression that it was an entrance to another realm.
Enzo could not help but gasp at the sight.
He could tell for certain that the serpent was not a statue.
It was a living creature.
Its eyes were actually still open, but they appeared to be frozen in place.
Was it still alive, or was it dead?
As it turned out, there were quite a few people here, and not a single one of them appeared weak.
He even saw Augus standing near the serpent’s head.
Each of them clearly had their own method of entering and passing through the lava.
Violet herself certainly could not do it.
Perhaps she could rely on the S-Class Shield, but Enzo doubted her Mana would be enough to maintain several shield clones capable of withstanding the heat of the lava.
Rebecca’s arrival naturally attracted everyone’s attention.
The fact that Violet was with her surprised them even more.
"The largest serpent I’ve ever seen was only 2,500 meters long. That creature nearly killed me. This one is much larger, but fortunately, we don’t know whether it’s sleeping or dead."
Rebecca said this to Violet, perhaps feeling responsible for bringing her here and therefore giving her a little explanation.
"This place was only discovered about three months ago. There aren’t any monsters here, but even our knowledge about this place is extremely limited. The Association has been monitoring it continuously, and it has basically become something of a tourist attraction. Attacking others here is prohibited."
"I might stay here for quite a while. If you want to leave, just let me know."
After saying that, Rebecca walked toward a certain area.
So far, Rebecca had been surprisingly kind toward Violet, which caught Enzo off guard.
Was it because their personalities seemed somewhat similar, causing Rebecca to take a liking to Violet?
Enzo wasn’t sure.
Now, he wondered what could actually be obtained from this place.
There seemed to be nothing here except the enormous serpent and its eggs, which appeared to be attached to the ground beneath them.
When Rebecca mentioned finding a stroke of luck here, perhaps she had simply said it casually.
After all, people tended to believe that every hidden place contained some kind of opportunity.
Whether someone could obtain it depended on their own fortune.
Violet walked toward the serpent’s head.
Augus was there, but it was the serpent’s head that intrigued her the most.
Most of the people were gathered there as well.
Of course, Enzo was certain Augus wasn’t reckless enough to cause trouble here.
Augus’s eyes looked unpleasant as he stared at Violet.
How could he not hold a grudge after she had stolen so many things from him?
But Violet acted as if she hadn’t even noticed him.
As she approached the serpent’s mouth, even Enzo, who was far away in Sanctuary, could sense the danger.
The rows of teeth and fangs inside the serpent’s mouth were enough to make even him uneasy.
Its mouth was completely dark, making it impossible to see what lay inside.
But since it was open, that meant it could be entered.
"Old man, has anyone ever gone inside?" Violet asked an elderly man who had somehow made his way here.
He had a slightly hunched body and looked rather frail, but since he was here, he clearly possessed considerable strength.
The old man couldn’t help but look at Violet with interest after being suddenly questioned.
"Miss, are you thinking about going inside? Forget it. The Association didn’t just send drones in there. They even sent sturdy puppets. All of them lost their signals, and they’re presumed to have been completely destroyed."
"Of course, no one is brave enough to be the first one to enter."
"If you become the first, people will certainly respect you."
Violet frowned upon hearing that.
The old man was quite cunning.
He was trying to push her into being the first to take the risk.
She chose not to respond and didn’t even look at him anymore, causing the old man to chuckle casually.
Violet’s expression became contemplative, naturally mirroring Enzo’s thoughts.
No one dared to enter.
But for her, that didn’t mean there was no way.
Of course, Enzo wasn’t going to send Violet inside.
Violet only had one chance to be reborn.
If she had five lives, he wouldn’t mind sending her in right now.
The only option was to develop another character.
After observing the serpent’s mouth for quite some time without finding anything, Violet finally walked away.
At the same time, Augus suddenly left.
His body was enveloped in light, which carried him upward toward the lava above.
He might be waiting up there for an opportunity to capture her.
Running into him here really was a bit of bad luck.
Back at the Monster Prison, there was practically no one left because it was already very late.
Those who leveled at night were already exhausted.
That was when Emma arrived.
Of course, she wasn’t here to deliver food.
Her expression looked even gloomier than the last time.
"Emma, I knew you’d come here."
Suddenly, Camila appeared in front of her.
Her skin was deathly pale, and she wore a white robe.
"Sister Camila, don’t stop me. Those beginners have already started surpassing me. If I’m any slower, I’ll only fall further behind. I can’t keep delaying my leveling."
Emma spoke with determination.
"If you force yourself, you’ll become a permanent ghost."
Camila replied.
"I don’t care anymore. That way, I won’t have any more worries and can focus entirely on increasing my level. There must be a way to return to normal in the future."
Emma’s answer caused Camila to freeze.
"Do you realize that you’re simply being controlled by your emotions? Once that happens, it’ll be too late to regret it. You won’t be able to feel anything that a creature with a physical body can feel anymore."
"It doesn’t matter. If I can’t hold on, I’ll just keep fighting until I die. Then it’ll be over."
"Emma, why are you so obsessed with strength?"
Camila sighed.
"With everything you have, you could still live a happy and peaceful life."
"How could someone blessed with an S-Class Talent like you understand someone like me who failed to awaken?"
Camila fell silent for a moment.
"Fine. If you insist, I’ll take your Talent back."
"You..."
Emma gritted her teeth.
She had become a Fake Awakener with Camila’s help.
Her Talent and her System had essentially been borrowed from Camila.
Naturally, Camila could take them back.
And from that moment onward, Emma would no longer be an Awakener.
Without the System, all the Attribute increases she had gained so far would certainly disappear as well.
The System was the fundamental foundation of an Awakener.
It was where their power was formed.
That was why it was impossible for an ordinary person to merge with a Talent Book.
If someone somehow had no Talent but possessed a System, they could still be considered an Awakener and, of course, could merge with a Talent Book.
However, there had been no example of such a person.
Except, perhaps, the characters Enzo had created.
Of course, they weren’t real people.
"Emma, if I take your Talent away without knowing that you’ve already become a ghost, you’ll become weaker, but the side effects won’t disappear."
"If you’ve already reached the point where you can no longer return to being human, you’ll remain a ghost."
Camila continued.
That was the price Fake Awakeners had to pay.
Just like George.
If Rebecca took his Talent away, the dragon scales covering his body wouldn’t disappear.
What would disappear was his power.
Emma’s lips twitched upon hearing this, and her fists clenched tightly.
"Why won’t you let me choose my own path?"
Camila didn’t respond.
She merely sighed before leaving.
Left alone, Emma appeared increasingly frustrated.
She could no longer continue toward the lower floor of the prison.
And that was when she heard a voice.
"I suppose if you’ve already become a ghost, that woman won’t take your Talent back."
"Besides, she cares about you. How could she possibly leave you as a powerless ghost?"
Emma was stunned upon hearing that.
She stared toward the entrance of the booth.
"How dare you..."
"What do you mean by that?"
Her breathing became rapid, causing her chest to rise and fall.
She clearly thought Enzo was mocking her.
"I’m just saying what I want to say."
Enzo replied calmly, shrugging his shoulders.
He wasn’t afraid of this woman.
If she dared to attack him, he could easily subdue her.
After that, he walked toward the door.
He wasn’t leaving his booth because of Emma.
He simply had a personal objective to take care of.
