Fortunately, Emma did not chase after him.
When Enzo stepped outside, he found Camila still standing in front of the door, forcing him to stop because he would have bumped into her if he kept walking.
"Ohhh, sorry..." The woman realized she had been blocking someone’s path and quickly moved aside.
Enzo smiled at her and nodded, though he couldn’t help feeling uncomfortable under her constant gaze.
He simply wasn’t sure whether she was curious about him because of his background or if she had sensed something else.
Feeling uneasy, he immediately walked away.
In his eyes, this woman was even more unpredictable than Rebecca.
He wandered around aimlessly, heading toward places where there were still people around.
As it turned out, Mr. Joe’s bar was still fairly crowded.
He entered the bar, immediately attracting everyone’s attention.
Even the tall, skinny Mr. Joe looked toward him.
"Give me a cup of wine. No ice," Enzo ordered the old man before taking a seat.
The old man immediately brought him a cup of wine.
With the strength he possessed now, Enzo was no longer bothered by the gazes of most Awakeners. Only powerful people like Camila could still make him uncomfortable.
He acted casually, drinking his wine as though he didn’t have a care in the world. He even lit a cigarette afterward.
His eyes wandered across the people in the bar.
His goal was to find a pilot to control a new character.
He could no longer delay it. He genuinely needed another character.
If Felix Gibson were here, he would have chosen him. But that kid was probably sleeping at home.
Some of the people in the bar appeared quite wealthy, but Enzo didn’t find any of them convincing enough.
Of course, wealthy people could be more useful because they might be able to purchase Talent Books for the character.
While he was still thinking, he was stunned when Mr. Joe pulled out his phone.
The old man was actually playing a MOBA game.
The idea of choosing him immediately appeared in Enzo’s mind.
After all, the old man had not gone adventuring for a long time. He was suitable for this.
His instincts even told him that there was a chance for extraordinary growth with the old man as the pilot.
Enzo suppressed his doubts.
Even so, he didn’t act immediately.
He continued smoking and drinking, waiting for the right moment.
His head quickly began to feel light from the effects of the wine.
His body even felt warm. This was already the mildest wine available, yet it was still enough to get him drunk.
After some time, he saw another fairly large group arrive.
They were in high spirits, placing their orders one after another and nodding at Mr. Joe, who was busy playing his game.
Mr. Joe had no choice but to serve them.
Enzo continued waiting, waiting for him to finish preparing their orders.
Just as he was about to take out his phone again, he sent his Game System to Mr. Joe using nothing but his thoughts.
He had decided to make Mr. Joe his pilot.
The character hadn’t even been created yet, and Enzo intended to leave that part to Mr. Joe, allowing the old man to create the character according to his own preferences.
Mr. Joe froze in shock, though no one noticed. Enzo simply kept staring at his phone while smoking.
Fortunately, after standing there in a daze for a while, Mr. Joe went into the back room.
He seemed to want to figure out what was happening somewhere quiet, since the bar was far too noisy.
Meanwhile, because Enzo kept drinking, he became even more intoxicated than he had expected.
The wine here was incredibly potent, even at its weakest. No wonder everyone kept talking nonsense.
He stopped drinking, worried that he might suddenly lose consciousness or start spouting nonsense himself.
When he stood up, he felt as though his feet were no longer touching the ground and he was floating among the clouds.
Fortunately, he could still walk.
He hadn’t forgotten the way back to the Prison Building.
When he returned, Camila was already gone.
DING!
(Mr. Joe has created a character!)
A notification appeared.
The System even displayed an image of the character Mr. Joe had created.
What he saw shocked him so much that the effects of the alcohol seemed to weaken.
The character was a handsome young man with blond hair, a tall body, broad chest, and well-defined muscles.
His face was almost unnaturally perfect. Even though Enzo himself had an exceptionally handsome and captivating face, he might actually look less striking compared to this character.
His appearance could only be described as excessively handsome.
Enzo doubted that a man this handsome actually existed.
The character’s name was Alexander Spencer.
’I hope he doesn’t use him to cause trouble,’ Enzo thought, shaking his head.
Naturally, he could change the character’s appearance, but he chose not to. He was worried that doing so might dampen Mr. Joe’s enthusiasm for developing his strength.
DING!
(Mr. Joe has added an A-Class Talent to Alexander Spencer, Master of Storm!)
Another notification appeared, making Enzo freeze.
"Hahaha..."
He then burst out laughing.
Just as he had expected, the old man was not someone who had nothing.
He actually possessed an A-Class Talent Book that he had never used.
’He might be stronger than people realize,’ he thought.
’I’ll wait and see what happens next.’
Since he didn’t want to be constantly distracted by this new character, Enzo ordered the System not to send him any more notifications about the character.
"Mm..."
When he entered the Monster Prison, he found Emma still inside.
She was sitting there without her glasses, revealing her beautiful face.
She held a bottle of wine in her hand, drinking alone.
It was clearly strong wine. She had already consumed more than half of it, yet she still looked completely normal.
Her skin wasn’t flushed at all. Her expression remained cold.
As Enzo entered, he immediately received a sharp glare from her. However, he continued walking as though he hadn’t noticed her.
"Hey!"
The woman’s cold voice echoed through the room just as he passed her.
There was no one else around, so she obviously wasn’t calling anyone else.
Enzo stopped and looked at her.
Why was she calling him?
"Do you have any cigarettes? Give me one," she said.
This was completely beyond Enzo’s expectations.
She actually wanted to smoke.
"Miss Garcia, are you sure you want to smoke? Can you handle it?" Enzo asked.
He wasn’t kind enough to stop a woman who wanted to smoke. Naturally, he had no problem sharing a single cigarette.
Health concerns were practically irrelevant for Awakeners like them.
At most, it simply looked bad, especially when the smoker was a woman.
"I’ve smoked before," the woman replied. "If you have a problem with it, I’ll buy one from you for $100."
She added that last part in a raised voice.
"Of course I don’t mind."
Enzo approached her with a strange expression and handed her a cigarette along with a lighter.
The woman quickly took it and immediately lit the cigarette, taking a deep drag before slowly exhaling the smoke.
Her movements looked as though she was already accustomed to smoking.
"To be honest, I don’t understand how your brain works," she suddenly said in a relatively calm tone, looking directly into Enzo’s eyes. "How can you be so calm and carefree here, surrounded by Awakeners, despite being an ordinary human?"
"Ohhh..."
Enzo wanted to laugh but held it back.
From what he could tell, the woman was genuinely baffled by him.
"Do you want to be like me?" she asked.
"I want to become strong. Why do you think I’m here? If I didn’t want power, I could travel around the world and live a luxurious life."
"Maybe you should try that life. Perhaps you’ll eventually lose interest in the power of Awakeners," Enzo replied.
This time, the woman didn’t answer immediately.
She even looked thoughtful.
Was she actually considering his suggestion?
If so, that would truly be a miracle.
After all, what couldn’t change, especially when it came to the thoughts of a young woman like Emma?
"What if you came with me?"
"What?"
Enzo was stunned.
What did she mean?
"Miss Garcia, if you need a servant, you can find someone else. You could even hire several Awakeners to protect you."
"Damn it, don’t you understand?"
The woman suddenly became angry, leaving Enzo stunned again.
Then he noticed that her face had turned slightly red.
The wine she had been drinking hadn’t made her skin flush at all, yet her face was suddenly red.
"I mean you and me. We could live peacefully together, travel around the world, or settle down somewhere."
’Damn, this woman must be drunk,’ Enzo thought.
Not everyone who was drunk showed it physically. Sometimes, alcohol only affected a person’s thoughts and mood.
"You don’t want to? Do you think I’m not attractive enough? I can change my appearance. I only dress like this because of childhood trauma. If I want to, I can dress myself up."
Enzo was speechless.
"Are you serious about what you’re saying? Do you like me?" Enzo asked after remaining silent for a moment.
"I’ve never liked anyone. I simply hate everyone who is alive. But anyway, I think you and I have a lot in common. So why don’t we just give it a try? Maybe what people have been suggesting isn’t wrong after all."
Enzo wanted to slap his forehead.
"Miss Garcia, I suggest you go back and get some sleep," he said.
"You?"
The woman’s eyes widened.
