Their skin was a sickly gray color. Black veins crawled across their necks and cheeks like spider webs. Their eyes glowed with a blinding, toxic purple light. They held their legendary weapons. They pointed their weapons directly at Nimph.

Oisin stood next to Nimph. He held his silver musical guitar. His hands shook violently. Lugh stood on her other side. He held his spear of white light. He took a scared step backward.

"We cannot fight them," Oisin whispered. His voice cracked with pure sadness. "They are our family. They taught us everything we know."

"They are gone," Lugh sobbed. He dropped his light spear onto the wet street. The spear vanished. "The dark magic destroyed their minds. We are going to die here."

The leader of the corrupted Grandmasters stepped forward. He was the General.

The General was an incredibly muscular man. He wore massive, dark iron armor. His face looked completely twisted with unnatural rage. He did not speak. He did not blink. He just stared at the crying warriors with glowing purple eyes.

The General raised his massive right hand. He summoned a gigantic sword made of pure black magic. The sword hummed with lethal energy. The dark weapon absorbed the light around it. He aimed the giant blade directly at Nimph’s neck. He wanted to execute her in a single strike.

Nimph closed her green eyes. She did not raise her vines to defend herself. She accepted her fate. She waited for the final blow.

High above the street, Lancelot floated in the dark sky.

Ken Eliot looked down at the crying warriors. He wore his dramatic black cloak with gold embroidery. His face was hidden behind a smooth black mask. A single purple eye glowed in the center of the mask.

Ken let out a long, quiet sigh inside his mind.

"This is incredibly annoying," Ken thought to himself casually. "Mind control is the most overused plot twist in the history of fiction. The bad guys always brainwash the good guys. Then the heroes cry. They refuse to fight their friends. It is a very boring trope. I really hate sad scenes. I just want everyone to go home and eat dinner."

Ken knew he had to intervene. The three warriors were completely useless right now. They refused to defend themselves.

The corrupted General swung his massive black sword downward. The blade sliced through the air with terrifying speed.

Ken vanished from the sky.

He did not use a complex teleportation spell. He just moved his body. He dropped straight down. He landed perfectly on the cobblestone street. He landed right between the crying green-haired woman and the massive General.

Ken raised his right hand. He did not summon a weapon. He just held his hand open.

The gigantic black sword slammed into Ken's bare palm.

A massive shockwave exploded outward. The wind blasted through the street. The nearby glass windows completely shattered. The dark rain blew away.

But the sword stopped. It stopped completely dead in its tracks. The sharp, dark blade rested gently against Ken's black glove. The weapon did not cut his glove. It did not even push his hand back a single inch.

The corrupted General stared at the masked entity. His glowing purple eyes flickered in confusion. He tried to push the sword down harder. He used all his massive, mutated strength. The sword did not budge. Ken stood as solid as a mountain.

Nimph opened her eyes. She gasped loudly. She stared at the black cloak standing in front of her.

"Great Lancelot," Nimph whispered in pure awe.

Ken did not turn around. He kept his glowing purple eye fixed on the corrupted General.

"You need to stand up," Ken commanded coldly. His deep, echoing voice filled the street. "Crying on the ground does not fix a broken mind. It just ruins your knees. The cobblestones are very dirty. You are getting your armor stained."

Ken looked at the other four corrupted Grandmasters standing in the fog. He knew a massive group fight would cause too much damage. He needed to separate the leader from the pack.

"Karna," Ken spoke through his telepathic link. "Take the other four. Do not kill them. Just tie them up. I will handle the big guy in the front. He looks very angry. I will calm him down."

"Understood, Boss," Karna replied instantly in his mind.

Ken turned his attention back to the General. He gripped the edge of the giant black sword with his fingers. He effortlessly crushed the dark magic weapon. The sword shattered into black glass. The pieces fell to the ground and melted away.

The General roared loudly. He pulled his fist back. He aimed a massive punch at Ken's face.

"You are entirely too slow," Ken stated flatly.

Ken decided to use extreme superspeed. He tapped into his absolute, reality-bending physical power. He remembered a very famous anime technique.

"Flash Step," Ken mumbled quietly to himself.

The world instantly stopped moving around him. The raindrops froze in mid-air. The General's fist stopped moving completely. The angry expression on the General's face remained frozen.

Ken walked forward at a normal, casual pace. He bypassed the frozen punch. He grabbed the front of the General's dark iron armor. He lifted the massive, muscular man completely off the ground with one single hand.

Ken kicked off the cobblestones. He launched himself into the sky.

He moved faster than the speed of sound. He moved faster than light. He carried the General across the entire capital city in a fraction of a millisecond. He flew over burning buildings. He flew over tall towers. He wanted to find an empty area. He did not want any innocent people getting hurt by stray magic.

He found a massive, ruined stone plaza on the very edge of the city. The plaza was totally empty.

Ken landed perfectly in the center of the plaza. He tossed the General away casually. The General flew through the air and crashed hard onto the stone floor. The impact cracked the pavement.

Time resumed its normal speed.

The General groaned. He scrambled back to his feet. He looked around in total bewilderment. One second he was swinging a punch. The next second he was miles away in a different part of the city. His corrupted mind could not process the impossible speed.

Ken stood across the plaza. He slouched his shoulders slightly. He dusted off his black cloak.

"My suit is definitely going to get dirty today," Ken thought to himself lazily. He thought about his team back at the estate. "Naomi is going to be very annoyed. She is much nicer to me lately. She even smiled at me yesterday. But she still hates when I ruin my nice clothes. I really hope this guy does not throw mud at me."

The General let out a deafening roar. The dark magic exploded from his body. Toxic purple energy swirled wildly around him. He slammed his fists onto the ground. The entire plaza shook violently.

Massive, jagged spikes of dark magic ripped out of the stone floor. The spikes shot toward Ken like giant, lethal spears. They moved incredibly fast.
