Perry Yates looked into the other person’s eyes, not believing a word he said, but she didn’t let it show.

’Even though these people seem a bit off, at least they probably don’t suspect me much right now.’

Room key in hand, Perry Yates boarded the Haisa cruise ship.

After entering the main hall, Perry Yates grabbed a promotional poster from a nearby stand. She then went to her room. Because of how those people had acted, she couldn’t completely relax even once she was inside.

She put down her suitcase and began to read the poster she had just picked up.

The poster advertised the very cruise she was about to embark on. It was a thirty-day trip, starting at 8:00 AM the next day. The ship would be at sea continuously until it docked again, with no stops in between.

The cruise ship had about twelve decks and could accommodate over a thousand passengers.

The entire vessel was fully equipped, like a giant floating city. It had everything you could imagine, and even things you couldn’t.

Reading this, Perry Yates decided to go out and familiarize herself with the layout before the game began.

Perry Yates took a makeup bag from her suitcase and applied some beautiful makeup. While doing so, she tried to use her Space Backpack, but the moment she stepped onto the cruise ship, it had stopped working.

Stepping out of her room, she looked at the splendid, glittering decorations in the hallway, her expression showing little emotion.

’I wonder what this disaster will be?’

Perry Yates thought to herself.

’In a game specifically targeting Croupiers, besides watching out for the non-Dealer Players, I also have to be careful of the disaster built into the game itself.’

Through a window, she could see the calm, boundless ocean on one side and the bustling pier on the other. ’What could the disaster be this time?’

’A tsunami, a tornado, or maybe pirates?’

Speaking of cruise ships, the first thing that came to Perry Yates’s mind was the Titanic.

’Don’t tell me we’re going to hit an iceberg.’

At that thought, Perry Yates shook her head. ’Forget it. No point in wild guessing. Whatever the disaster is, I’ll just have to roll with the punches.’

That was easier said than done, though. Having lost access to the supplies in her space, Perry Yates felt a little uneasy.

Without their spaces, stranded on a cruise ship in the middle of nowhere, water and food would become a major problem if something went wrong.

At that point, with no way to store large quantities of food, it was highly likely that the people on the ship would start fighting amongst themselves over food and water.

’But then again, this mission surprisingly hasn’t required Dealer Players to slaughter the non-Dealer Players.’

’Or maybe the game just hasn’t started yet, so they haven’t announced it.’

Perry Yates pulled her thoughts together and started exploring the cruise ship.

Since the ship was scheduled to depart at 8:00 AM the next morning, the number of people on board, aside from the original crew, was gradually increasing.

Perry Yates observed the people around her and noticed something off about their expressions. She saw unfamiliarity, excitement, terror, and a forced calmness.

’These must be the non-Dealer Players.’

Of course, aside from them, there was another group of people who acted completely normal, looking just like genuine tourists.

Looking at them, Perry Yates couldn’t immediately tell whether they were Dealer Players, non-Dealer Players, or NPCs.

According to the information she had previously acquired from Amber Sheridan’s space, a maximum of ten Dealer Players could enter each game at the same time.

’Whatever. If I can’t tell them apart, I’ll just treat them all as NPCs. As far as I’m concerned, aside from those ten Dealer Players—who could be friend or foe—everyone else is an enemy.’

Having come to this conclusion, Perry Yates stopped worrying about it and turned to head for the restaurant.

Being a luxury cruise ship, even its restaurant featured live cooking with renowned chefs from all over. From state banquet cuisine to common street food, you could have whatever you wanted just by asking a chef.

After all, food is the staff of life. The restaurant alone took up an entire deck, a testament to its extravagance.

After entering the restaurant, Perry Yates didn’t immediately decide what to eat. Instead, she first walked around, habitually using her Identification skill on the chefs who were cooking and the food in their hands.

The chefs were normal chefs, and the food was normal food, except...

Perry Yates frowned slightly as she looked at the question mark at the very bottom of the food’s Identification results.

Although the results indicated it was edible, Perry Yates gave up on the idea of eating in the restaurant.

Fortunately, not all the food items had a question mark. Perry Yates picked up some sweets from the dessert section and began to eat them elegantly.

「The next day at 8:00 AM」 With a loud blast of its horn, the cruise ship departed on schedule.

Perry Yates didn’t get up for breakfast that morning. After all, it was best to eat as little of the food in that restaurant as possible.

She went to the refrigerator and took out an oddly shaped piece of chocolate.

Perry Yates had put it in there the previous night. It looked strange because it had been melted down and then solidified again.

After learning that spatial items would be disabled in this game, Perry Yates had a flash of inspiration. She had ordered a large quantity of chocolate sauce from a factory and loaded it into her Divine Artifact Water Bottle.

This way, even without her space and the supplies within it, Perry Yates could still survive by eating the chocolate sauce.

The only downside was that she might get sick of eating so much chocolate, but it couldn’t be helped.

Perry Yates lay sprawled on her bed like a starfish, a piece of chocolate dangling from her mouth, thinking about what to do next.

After returning the previous night, she had her Spiritual Body sweep the entire room. Only after confirming there were no surveillance or listening devices did she relax enough to take out the chocolate.

’It’s only the first day of the game, so it should be relatively safe. It’s probably best to scout out the entire map first.’

’And that question mark I saw on the food yesterday... I have a bad feeling about it. I’ll go check at noon to see if it’s still there.’

’I should also see if I can find the other Dealer Players. Even if we can’t form an alliance, it would be best to avoid a confrontation.’

With that in mind, Perry Yates finished her chocolate, got up, and went out.

Although it was now past mealtime, Perry Yates went to the restaurant anyway. Inside, quite a few people were still eating.

However, their table manners were extremely crude. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they were wolfing down their food, looking as if they hadn’t eaten in ages.
