What happened next was something the Rustwater town residents would never forget.
Microscopic blobs of blood turned into microscopic crimson blades and shot towards the expert rank 2 warriors and their entourage before they could even launch their attacks.
Puchi... puchi... puchi...
To the onlookers, heads suddenly started to fly across the place. They didn’t see any attack launched by the lodgekeeper.
But based on his terrifying reputation to launch attacks without moving a muscle, they knew he was behind this.
The expert rank 2 warriors were the first to fall.
Their heads rolled off their bodies suddenly. The attack was so swift that their bodies could not even register any pain.
All they saw was that their vision spun.
Why were they seeing things sideways?
Wait, had their heads been severed from the rest of their bodies? How was this possible? When will this happen?
Were they dying?
This was when it registered to them that they had miscalculated. The lodgekeeper was not weak.
He was most likely a terrifying expert rank 2 warrior... He was even more terrifying than the town Lord.
Their vision blanketed as their heads came to a halt and fell on the ground. Expressions of puzzlement and terror were written on their dead faces.
Their headless bodies stood still for a few moments. Blood splurged from their headless bodies. The headless bodies fell down. Dull thuds resounded across the place.
The entourage they had brought with them didn’t fare any better.
They met the same fate. Heads rolled.
Blood splurged. Headless bodies fell.
The place was silent.
Everyone stared at the lodgekeeper.
What they had just witnessed was not something they could process.
Not even 2 seconds had passed.
He had killed 4 expert rank 2 warriors and several hundreds of intermediate and beginner rank 2 warriors just like that?
Chills crawled up several spines as they stared at the polite lodgekeeper. When they looked into his crimson eyes, they had a feeling that he was some sort of devil.
Their eyes traced back to the corpses on the ground in pools of blood. They looked at the heads with expressions of fear, puzzlement and regret.
They could have ended up like this, had they taken this polite lodgekeeper lightly.
He was a walking catastrophe.
The lodgekeeper stood up and dusted his buttocks.
Aiden absorbed the blood essence of the corpses. The microscopic crimson blades turned into blobs of blood and returned into him. His crimson eyes returned to their blue color.
After that, he put the corpses in his storage bracelet. He didn’t want the corpses to rot and smell in front of his residence.
Also, he had some use for them. He would use them to set some traps in the future for chaotic beasts.
Hundreds of pairs of eyes stared at him in puzzlement, fear, shock and stupor as he turned around and entered the lodge quietly as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him.
His expression after the massacre he just committed was casual as if he had just performed a chore.
"This man is not an advanced rank 2 warrior!"
"He’s at least an expert rank 2 warrior?"
"Shit... I don’t think even the town Lord is this terrifying!"
"He killed them all without even having to lift a finger?"
"What sort of mysterious affinity does this man have?"
"No one has seen his affinity manifest before!"
"The only change that occurs when he uses it is the change in his eyes to red. Some are speculating he can use his mind to kill people."
"Shit..."
"Yeah. Some are also speculating that it’s some sort of invisible affinity he can use to launch an attack. Nobody knows. But one thing about him that is clear now is that he is extremely dangerous. Even the town Lord will have to give him face now. This man is not someone who can be offended!"
"The Lodgekeeper is terrifying, simply too terrifying!"
"Now that the owners of the other lodges are dead, who will claim ownership of the lodges?"
"Shit. A fight between local gangs will naturally ensue if the lodgekeeper decides not to claim these residences for themselves."
"Will anyone be too stupid to try? Unless he probably leaves the town, no one will try claiming these lodges for themselves. They definitely won’t want to offend him!"
"That’s true. Only the town Lord could claim these lodges as his property and let someone run the businesses for him. Even with that, with how powerful the lodgekeeper is, the town Lord may have to personally visit him and ask for his opinion on the matter. Power is everything in these parts. Even if the town Lord is powerful, he can’t simply afford to offend the lodgekeeper."
"That’s true."
"Sigh... quick, let’s return to our establishments."
The residents of the town left the area, carrying the news of what had just happened with them.
It was obvious that by morning, Rustwater town would be in an uproar because of the Lodgekeeper’s abnormal feat.
***
Aiden entered the lodge.
The residents in the lounge had expressions of fear and shock on their faces.
What they had just witnessed was not something they had ever seen before. They were too shocked to process what they had just witnessed.
Aiden simply nodded towards them politely, closed the entrance doors, and headed towards the elevator. He needed to wash down and get some rest.
He had to go hunt some chaotic beasts in the desert tomorrow and absorb their blood essence to facilitate his progress.
While the other lodge residents were so shocked that they couldn’t speak , Dickinson was not too shocked though. This man was a legendary rank 2 warrior. It was only obvious that he would be able to take care of those people.
What left him shocked was how effortlessly he had slaughtered them, especially the expert rank 2 warriors.
"It’s as if he didn’t even use a fraction of his power. Just who the hell is this person? " Dickinson thought. "He may even be as powerful as City Lord Madmax"
This man was as strong as the city Lord of Madcity, if not stronger.
"Perhaps, he can help me take over MadCity. But I need to figure out whether or not he wants to leave this place. After that, I need to figure out what he wants and use it to strike a deal with him. The only way to save my parents from the city Lord’s prison is to take over MadCity. I need to try my luck. But, not tonight", Dickinson mused inwardly as a glint of determination flashed through his eyes. "Tomorrow morning, I will see if I can strike a deal with this senior."
