Chapter 313: Pat In The Head

The dream ended in a bittersweet feeling. Liu Hua’s soul floated back. Her gaze remained on her son’s face who was crying while his eyes were closed. She subconsciously stretched out her hand but she could no longer wipe his tears anymore.

"...." Her gaze stayed at him for a long minutes before she slowly looked away and faced the three men waiting for her.

"It’s time for me to go," she said the words with a relief in her tone.

Ji stepped forward and comforted her. "Grandma, it’ll be alright. I’m sure that your son will fulfill his promise to take care of his family."

She nodded and smiled softly. "I know. He will."

Liu Hua didn’t look back anymore for fear of holding back again and left the old house.

No. 444 releases the gate of the underworld and looks at the old woman. "You can enter here. Don’t worry, the Judge will speak to you first then you have to drink the mengpo soup before going to your next reincarnation."

She looked at the three men and thanked them. "Thank you for guiding me."

Liu Hua chuckles. "Very well." No. 444 didn’t know but he couldn’t just find himself looking at the old woman directly. Her gaze is not malicious nor any scrutiny, it carries an emotion that he couldn’t understand at all.

"Too sweet?" He was confused. After all he hadn’t tasted any favor aside from this. Yin also realizes that and looks at him for a second.

"Are you interested in this?"

He tilted his head on the side. He recalled Liu Hua’s dream and there was a dumpling there. Her son ate that with so much relish and with his question now, he somewhat grew curious.

Thus, he nodded at Yin without any hesitation.

He Li listened to their conversation and also recalled one of the episodes of the survival show where he saw Qin An was too interested in tasting every snack in their pantry.

A small smile flashes on his lips.

It seems that he will prepare these properly once everything will be alright.
