Chapter 322: Endless Nightmare

"We don’t want to come with you!"

Even after witnessing everything and understanding their situation, the students still refused to leave with No. 444. One mother tremblingly uncovered a cloth slightly and felt her world collapse when she saw the face of her child. Her daughter’s eyes were closed and there was blood everywhere on her body. There was no longer warmth of the body but a stifling cold that broke her heart completely.

"M-My daughter, please wake up! Mom is here! Mom is here for you. Please, my baby! Don’t leave me!" She caresses her child’s cheek and kisses her forehead. "P-Please, I beg you, don’t leave me!"

A young girl could only stare blankly at the scene in front of her. Her knees collapsed as she watched how her mother fell into a deep pain.

"M-Mom, I’m here..." She keeps on mumbling those words. It was useless. No matter how they cry and call, no one hears them.

"M-Mister," A soft call from a student brought Si’s attention. It was a student and she was standing on his side. She clasped her hands and looked at him pleadingly.

"M-Mister, please. I don’t want to die. P-Please let me live again." She pleads.

No. 444 sighed and gently shook his head. "I’m sorry but I have the power to bring you back alive. It cannot be taken back."

"B-But we didn’t want this." Another student came one after another to him until all of them stopped in front of him, with faces full of pleading.

He still shook his head. Human life is like this. Their death is truly unpredictable and inevitable. He now realizes how fragile their lives are and it was even upsetting to see them face this end.

"I am also here to fulfill a wish for everyone." He decided to say those words in hope to at least catch their attention and appease them for now.

"For your deaths, there will be justice. I’m sure your parents will do everything too."

Just as expected, after the parents took care of their bodies to the final rest, they began pouring all that grief into resentment and hatred to the perpetrator of this accident. The police found out that the brake of the bus was intentionally broken, which meant that their death was not merely an accident on the road.

Someone planned to end their lives.

Soon the results of the investigation came out and the suspect was arrested. It was a middle-age man who was apparently also connected to the students— or rather his daughter, the only student from the class who coincidentally wasn’t able to join the supposed field trip.

"Lin Yurui, I hope that you will have this nightmare for the rest of your life! Just like how disgusting you are, I hope your life will be miserable too!"

"You deserve this because your family is full of murderers! I will never let any of your family have a peaceful life! From now on, you’ll live with this hell again and again!"

No. 444 was only watching on the sidelines, giving the students enough time for themselves. There was nothing that he could do for them aside from doing this to relieve their anger. They can’t live with the remaining resentment so they had to let it out.
