[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 27: REAL TIME RANKING.Chapter 27: 27: REAL TIME RANKING.
The academy’s automated ranking system had been designed to evaluate every student’s performance according to a strict set of criteria before assigning a final score.
Since the entire process was handled by the system itself, no one could manipulate the results, ensuring complete fairness for every participant.
The moment the last pair of students emerged from the portal, the system began processing everyone’s performance. It only took a few seconds. Then the rankings appeared. The entire arena fell silent.
Students held their breath as they stared at the enormous holographic screen overhead, anxious to see where they had placed. The faculty, administrators, invited guests, and VIP Espers were equally curious, especially after the strange events surrounding the final portal.
June’s heartbeat quickened as the rankings slowly appeared from the bottom upward. He silently prayed. Please don’t let me get in.
He had worked so hard to fail this exam. Surely all that effort couldn’t have been for nothing.
Finally, the completed rankings settled into place. June looked up. Then he froze.
[Rank 1: June En & Nyx Faux]
[Rank 2: Simon Hale & Finn Hart]
...
Silence blanketed the arena. A heartbeat later, the silence shattered into a storm of whispers.
Everyone stared at the rankings with complete disbelief. The students couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Neither could June.
He and Nyx slowly climbed to their feet, both of them staring blankly at the holographic display.
"...No." June slowly shook his head. "No..." He staggered backward, nearly losing his balance. "This isn’t possible..." His lips trembled. "No... no... this can’t be right."
Beside him, Nyx remained equally stunned. Gradually, however, a small smile found its way onto his face. He simply couldn’t believe it. For someone who had entered the examination expecting failure, this result felt almost unreal.
June, on the other hand... Slowly sank back onto his knees.
Nyx smiled because he had achieved something he never thought possible. June felt like crying. He had worked so hard to fail. He deliberately skipped training. He acted lazy whenever he had the chance.
He played the fool, doing everything possible to avoid standing out. All of it had been for one reason. He wanted nothing to do with the storyline that eventually led to his death.
So why... Why was everything still unfolding exactly as the novel wanted?
No... It was somehow turning out even better than before. Not only had he been accepted into Arcadia Academy... He had entered as the highest-ranked student.
How was that even possible? In the original story, first place belonged to Simon and Finn. Their result had established them as the academy’s perfect duo—the compatible pairing of an S-Class Esper and an F-Class Guide. But now... That title belonged to him and Nyx. Two F-Ranks.
"...That awakening..." June bit his lower lip as memories of the golden flames flashed through his mind. "How did that even happen...?" He shook his head again. "This can’t be happening."
Around them, the students continued whispering among themselves. "How is that even possible? What did they do to get first place?"
" Two F-Ranks beat Simon? Since when was that possible?"
" Could the system have glitched?"
" I don’t think so. The automated ranking system can’t be tampered with."
"Then explain this!"
Confusion spread throughout the arena as everyone stared at the two students standing beneath the rankings.
Nyx still looked as though he hadn’t fully processed what had happened. A faint smile lingered on his lips. June looked like someone whose entire future had just collapsed before his eyes.
The Chancellor, Gregory, the Principal, Bradford, and several deans soon approached the pair. Even as they stopped before him, June remained kneeling on the ground in complete disbelief.
"Congratulations, Mr. En. Mr. Faux." Chancellor Gregory adjusted his glasses before offering them a composed smile. "Congratulations on achieving first place overall in the final examination."
June simply stared back at him. His mind was completely blank. He didn’t even know how he was supposed to react.
Principal Bradford smiled before continuing. "And congratulations on another achievement as well."
Everyone’s attention shifted toward him. "It appears that the two of you have also successfully cleared your first real dungeon." He paused. "An S-Class anomaly dungeon."
The moment those words left his mouth, the entire arena erupted. "What?! A real dungeon? Did he say an S-Class anomaly dungeon?"
"Like the highest class of dungeon??"
" I thought today’s examination used simulated dungeons! Wait... are you saying those two actually entered a real dungeon?"
"That’s impossible! If it really was an anomaly dungeon, professional teams are still struggling to clear those! So how did two first-year F-Ranks manage it?"
In this world, S Class was the highest rank possible. So an S class dungeon in itself was rare and almost difficult to clear. And then an S class Anomaly dungeon?!
No one could make sense of what they were hearing. The more they thought about it, the less believable it became. Yet the Principal himself had confirmed it.
June and Nyx were no less shocked than everyone else. The two of them stared blankly at Principal Bradford.
"...A real dungeon?" June repeated slowly. His voice almost failed him. "Are you for real now...?" He blinked several times. "So we really..."
His memories replayed one after another. The strange atmosphere. The brutal monster. The flowers. The impossible strength of the cat. Everything suddenly made sense. It had never behaved like an examination. Because... It wasn’t one.
June felt a chill run through his body. "...So we almost died." The realization struck him all at once. If Nyx hadn’t awakened those mysterious golden flames... The two of them might genuinely have died inside that dungeon.
For the first time, June found himself feeling grateful that the strange power had appeared when it did.
Beside him, Nyx remained silent, still trying to process everything he had heard.
Just then, another commotion arose near the edge of the arena. Everyone turned toward the entrance.
A squad dressed in crimson uniforms was making its way through the crowd. The emblem of the Red Dust Government Organization gleamed proudly on their chests. Leading the five-member team at the front was a Young man June Certainly found familiar.
it was Grey En.
June blinked. "Brother..."
