Chapter 35: 35: WHAT AN ENTRANCE II

The atmosphere outside was bustling with conversations as people continued staring in June’s direction. He could already feel himself sinking into depression.

He shot a cold glare at the musicians, who instantly lowered their heads and pretended not to notice him.

Still maintaining what little dignity he had left, June composed himself and majestically walked toward the entrance. Hopefully, things would be different once he got inside where the real guests were.

After all, he still had better plans waiting in there.

With an elegant smile, he arrived at the grand entrance as the security guards pulled the massive doors open for him. June straightened his posture and gracefully stepped inside.

Before him stretched the main banquet hall. Wealthy elites stood in elegant groups, chatting over glasses of wine while soft music drifted through the luxurious venue. Crystal chandeliers sparkled overhead, and the lavish decorations made the entire hall glow with sophistication.

June’s plan was simple.

The moment he stepped inside, a gentle breeze would sweep through his hair, making him look effortlessly elegant and breathtaking. Right after that, flower petals would rain down upon him, covering him like a prince descended from heaven.

It was a foolproof plan.

Or at least, it was supposed to be.

So, as he stepped into the hall with everyone’s attention fixed on him, June lifted his chin with a graceful smile and patiently waited for the hidden electric fan to work its magic.

But instead, the fan malfunctioned.

Rather than producing a soft breeze, it blasted a violent gust directly at him.

June’s eyes flew shut as the powerful wind slammed into him. His perfectly styled hair—which had somehow survived the earlier disaster outside—immediately entered emergency flight mode.

His hair flew backward, sideways, and straight into his face, repeatedly slapping him across the cheeks and mouth.

Then the flower petals began falling exactly as planned.

Unfortunately, the raging wind had already turned them into deadly projectiles.

Instead of gently floating around him, the petals swirled wildly through the air, smacking him across the face from every direction.

June hurriedly raised an arm to shield himself while trying to brush away the relentless assault, but it barely helped. Petals flew into his mouth, stuck all over his clothes, and tangled themselves throughout the chaotic mess that used to be his hairstyle.

The guests stood frozen, staring at the unbelievable scene unfolding before them.

Mr. and Mrs. En watched with their jaws hanging open.

One guest slowly turned toward them. "...Is that your son?"

Mr. En swallowed. "I... think so."

Mrs. En blinked several times. "Apparently."

June’s two older brothers stood nearby in matching black suits, completely speechless. Simon and Nyx wore equally stunned expressions as they watched the disaster continue unfolding.

No one knew what to say.

The powerful wind had transformed June into a madman walking down a runway, while the flower petals had decorated him into what looked remarkably like an abandoned Christmas tree.

"Young Master!"

Raymond had only just entered the hall before witnessing the entire catastrophe.

He hurriedly dodged the flying petals and fought against the wind before frantically signaling the staff operating the fan above.

The workers struggled with the malfunctioning machine until one of them finally realized the obvious solution.

"...Just unplug it!" The plug was immediately pulled. The wind died instantly.

Silence settled over the banquet hall as everyone stared at June.

June coughed repeatedly, spitting out flower petals that had somehow made their way into his mouth while Raymond hurried over, carefully removing petals from his clothes and hair before attempting to salvage what remained of his hairstyle.

"Young Master... are you alright?" Raymond asked worriedly as he continued fixing him up.

June slowly turned to look at him.

"...Do I look alright to you?"

Raymond honestly shook his head.

"...Is it really that bad?" June asked quietly. Since he didn’t have a mirror, he genuinely wanted to know just how catastrophic the damage was.

Raymond looked him over from head to toe before answering with complete sincerity.

"You look like a Christmas tree with a bird’s nest on top."

June silently turned to stare at him.

Resisting the urge to scream, he slowly ran a hand through his hair while everyone around him continued watching in stunned silence.

"This is definitely not how I imagined starting tonight," he muttered as Raymond continued helping him tidy himself up.

Then Raymond suddenly froze. His eyes widened. "You... Young Master..."

June immediately felt another wave of panic wash over him. "What?"

At that moment, he sincerely wished the ground would split open and throw him into another anomaly dungeon before whatever Raymond was about to say became reality.

Raymond swallowed hard before pointing toward his clothes.

"Your suit..."

He hesitated.

"...It’s torn. Really torn."

Tears immediately welled up in June’s eyes.

He could practically feel his soul leaving his body while embarrassment wrapped around him like a warm blanket.

At such moment, he wished to quickly book me a one-way trip to India and start a new life there as a Buddhist.

June eventually changed into the black suit Grey had urgently bought for him.

After changing clothes, he stepped out of the restroom while fixing his hair in the mirror.

Grey leaned casually against the wall with his arms folded, silently watching him.

"Why are you staring at me like I’m still wearing a bird’s nest?" June asked before immediately remembering how he had looked earlier. He quickly sighed. "...Don’t answer that."

Grey let out a quiet scoff, clearly struggling to suppress the laughter threatening to escape as he remembered the spectacle from earlier.

June looked at him in surprise.

Grey rarely laughed, especially around him.

Considering how the original June had been hated by practically everyone—including his own brothers—he never expected Grey to openly laugh in front of him.

"...Why are you laughing?"

Grey finally gave up trying to hold it in.

"Did that dungeon knock the brains out of your head?" he asked between laughs. "What exactly was that supposed to be? Were you trying to perform at a circus?"

June could only stare at him in silence.

Embarrassment embraced him once again as he remembered how his carefully planned, unforgettable grand entrance had somehow turned into the greatest clown performance of the evening.
