[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 44: LATE AND LOST.Chapter 44: 44: LATE AND LOST.
June was wrapped in shame as he followed Mr. Yen into the academy. He still couldn’t believe he had just mistaken a dean for a beggar.
He had only been trying to politely turn down someone he assumed was asking for money, yet somehow he had managed to insult one of the academy’s staff within his first minute on campus.
"So, your parents already called me and handled all the necessary payments," Mr. Yen said casually as he walked ahead, absentmindedly scratching his silver hair while June followed behind.
Quite a few students lingered around the academy grounds, both boys and girls stealing curious glances in June’s direction.
He didn’t need anyone to explain why they were staring. He was the famous F-Rank Guide who had somehow cleared an anomaly dungeon and earned a place in Arcadia Academy.
"You’ll need to collect your uniforms and the rest of your essentials," Mr. Yen continued. "Then you’ll move into your hostel."
June bit his lower lip. Living in the hostel had been part of his mother’s decision, one he hadn’t been able to argue against.
"You need to mingle with other students and make friends!" she had insisted.
The problem was that June had absolutely no interest in making friends. His only goal was to stay as far away from the plot as possible.
Unfortunately, after getting caught faking his illness, refusing wasn’t an option anymore. At least his mother had agreed to let him return home occasionally.
"You also missed orientation," Mr. Yen added. "You should ask your classmates to fill you in. That way, next time you won’t mistake the principal for a stripper or something."
June lowered his head awkwardly, wishing the ground would open beneath him.
Mr. Yen chuckled before continuing the tour, leading him through the academy while explaining the important facilities and procedures.
After helping him collect his uniforms and other necessities, he handed June a neatly folded yellow uniform.
"Is this the official uniform?" June asked, staring at it with visible disappointment. "Why is it still so ugly?"
Mr. Yen glanced at him. "No. That’s only for F-Rank students. Each rank wears a different color for easy identification."
" S, A and B-Rank students wear purple. C, D and E-Ranks wear red. F- ranks wear yellow."
June stared at the uniform before looking back at him. "So... discrimination?"
Mr. Yen smiled. "Identification, I suppose."
"Identification my foot," June muttered under his breath.
After giving him a brief tour of the campus, Mr. Yen finally stopped in front of one of the dormitory buildings. "You’ll be staying here."
June stepped inside and looked around. The room was actually much nicer than he had expected.
Considering the academy’s reputation, the luxurious furnishings made sense. Three beds occupied the room, though only one remained empty.
He frowned slightly. Great... roommates.
"The dormitories are divided between Espers and Guides, and ranks" Mr. Yen explained. "So your roommates are both Guides. lower-rank guides specially. "
"So get settled quickly and head to your evening classes."
June looked at him in disbelief. "You people even have night classes?"
Mr. Yen smiled. "Yes. You are ’you people.’" He chuckled before adding, "If you need anything, my office is always open."
With that, he turned and left.
June sighed, staring into the room before finally dragging his luggage inside. "Well... it’s not like I have a choice."
He unpacked his belongings, arranged his bed, and neatly organized everything in his corner of the room.
Once he finished, he reluctantly changed into the academy uniform and stood before the full-length mirror.
He turned left. Then right. Then sighed dramatically. "This is so out of fashion."
He sprayed on his favorite perfume, adjusted his hair one last time, and reluctantly accepted reality.
He had no intention of attending night classes, but since he was already here, he might as well show up.
The academy hallways were almost empty by the time June stepped outside. Most students were already in class, leaving the long corridors unusually quiet.
He followed the campus map Mr. Yen had given him, though it wasn’t proving particularly helpful.
"Why is this school so ridiculously huge?" he muttered, staring down at the map before looking around again.
He guessed another direction and wandered aimlessly for several more minutes before rounding a corner and bumping into someone.
Mr. Yen. The dean raised an eyebrow. "Lost?"
"No," June answered with a straight face. "I’m on a sightseeing tour."
Mr. Yen stared at him for a moment before shaking his head. "Take the next right, walk straight, then turn left. Your classroom is at the end of the hallway."
June blinked. "...Thanks."
He gave a small bow before jogging away.
Mr. Yen watched him disappear around the corner, slowly sipping from the coffee mug in his hand. "That guy really cleared an anomaly dungeon..." he muttered to himself with a thoughtful smile. "Interesting."
Meanwhile, June finally reached the classroom and stopped outside the door. Guide Studies.
A male professor was already teaching when he arrived. Noticing someone standing outside, the professor paused and looked toward the entrance.
"Come in."
June straightened his uniform and walked inside.
The moment he entered, whispers spread throughout the classroom. Every pair of eyes turned toward him as students quietly murmured among themselves.
There was no doubt they were discussing the famous anomaly dungeon incident.
June stood calmly before the class while the professor studied him. "Took you long enough to join us, Mr. En," the man said evenly.
"I don’t believe introductions are necessary. By this point, everyone here already knows who you are." He gestured toward the back of the classroom. "Please take your seat."
June certainly wasn’t interested in introducing himself anyway. He gave a polite nod and turned toward the empty seats at the back.
"Wait."
June stopped and slowly turned back.
The professor adjusted his glasses, his expression as unreadable as before. He narrowed his eyes slightly before taking another deliberate sniff. "And... what’s that scent?"
June blinked. Scent...? What scent?
