June stared up at the system. "So what happens now?"

June sat there, thinking through the information the system had given him.

He couldn’t help but feel pissed off over Nyx’s story. Learning the villain’s backstory had really gotten to him. He couldn’t help blaming the author for never considering this villain properly, because now that June knew what Nyx had gone through, he actually felt bad for him.

And that knowledge made him feel even more protective of Nyx. If the plot couldn’t protect him or give him the justice he deserved, then June guessed he’d have to do it himself.

Besides, June couldn’t help but see this as a good thing. If he could save the villain from ending up the way he had in the original comic, then he would potentially be saving himself as well.

June nodded. "That’s good, then... I’ll make sure to protect Nyx from every harm that comes his way. I’ll make sure this villain doesn’t end up in the petty ways that dumb author wrote for him. He had made his decision, and he would make sure to work towards it, even if it meant going against the Plotline and the characters involved. Even if it meant retiring from being a salted fish.

He just wanted to see Nyx happy now.

June raised an eyebrow, confused. "Mind Manipulation...? And what’s that supposed to mean?"

Once activated, the affected parties would naturally follow along with the new line of thought for a stipulated period without realizing that their minds had been manipulated.

Essentially, June could manipulate someone’s thoughts by redirecting their attention toward whatever subject he stipulated, as long as he remained within the skill’s effective range.

To activate it, he needed to maintain uninterrupted eye contact with the person or people for five seconds, or maintain physical contact with them for five seconds.

As the system explained, June slowly nodded, running a hand along his chin. "Hmmm, that sounds pretty cool... And it’s right up my alley, too. I think that could be fun."

He certainly couldn’t wait to try it out soon and see how it actually worked.

June stared up at the system again. "So, is there anything else I need to know?"
