The men surrounding them charged forward as June stood firmly in place, holding onto Nyx while keeping his eyes on them.

Grey stood close by, ready to protect his brother from any incoming attacks. But June wasn’t relying on him. Not anymore.

He was relying on the system.

The atmosphere was tense as everyone watched, wondering what would happen next. Most of the students had already concluded that June would lose and that Mr. Kevin’s men would easily take him and Nyx away.

June studied the approaching men in black. He knew he had to stop them, and according to the system, he either needed to touch them or maintain eye contact with them.

Staring was obviously more practical.

June suddenly raised a hand.

"Wait!"

The men immediately stopped and stared at him in confusion.

June focused on one of them.

"Is my hairstyle pretty?"

"Why are you listening to his nonsense?" Mr. Kevin ordered firmly. "Take him down!"

June deliberately avoided looking at him.

The men nodded and began moving forward again.

But June suddenly smiled.

He linked their minds together.

Even he was surprised by how naturally it happened. It was almost as though he had possessed the ability for years. His mind instinctively understood what to do, connecting each of them into a strange mental web.

Then June turned toward one of them.

"You know what? I think you should get a new haircut. That one looks like a squirrel invaded it."

The man immediately stopped.

He placed a hand over his hair and turned toward the others.

"Is that so? But I just got this one last week..."

"Yeah, it really looks terrible. When was the last time you looked in a mirror?" another man replied.

"I mean, it’s actually not that bad." Another tried to defend him.

"That’s why yours looks like that," one snapped, turning toward the bald man.

"At least I still have hair..."

Mr. Kevin stared at them in confusion.

Everyone else was equally bewildered. The students and authorities watched in disbelief as the men who were supposed to capture June suddenly stood around discussing hairstyles.

"Hey!" Mr. Kevin finally snapped. "What the hell are you doing?!"

Silence.

Then one of the men turned toward him.

"Boss, I think your hairline is retreating."

"...."

Mr. Kevin blinked.

Slowly, he placed a hand over his hair.

June immediately smiled, struggling to hold back his laughter.

So the system really wasn’t lying.

And while everyone else was trying to understand what was happening, even Grey turned toward June.

"What the hell is going on?"

June shrugged innocently.

"I don’t know."

Mr. Kevin scoffed furiously, lowering his hand from his hair.

"And what the hell is this supposed to mean? Get that brat now!"

He pointed toward June.

June smiled.

"Sure. Get him, then."

Immediately, the men in black turned around and walked toward Mr. Kevin instead.

They stopped directly in front of him.

Then, one after another, they drew their weapons.

Everyone gasped.

The entire situation had suddenly been reversed, and no one understood how.

Why were Mr. Kevin’s own men now standing against him with their weapons drawn?

Mr. Kevin staggered backward.

"What’s all this...? What the hell do you think you’re doing?!"

His men remained completely still, their weapons pointed in his direction.

June handed Nyx over to Grey.

"Hold him for me."

Grey instinctively took Nyx as June stepped forward.

June walked into the middle of the group, folded his arms, and stared at Mr. Kevin with a smile.

"They’re clearly following your orders to take down the bad guy, so why are you so worked up?"

He tilted his head.

"Don’t you want that anymore?"

Mr. Kevin’s expression twisted with confusion and anger.

"What did you do, you little F-rank trash?"

June shrugged.

"Nothing. I’m just playing your own game."

His smile widened.

"Want to see how far it can go?"

Then he spoke silently through his mind.

Go show him a taste of fear.

Immediately, the men in black charged toward Mr. Kevin.

Mr. Kevin’s eyes widened in panic as they rushed toward him with their weapons drawn. Some activated their staffs while others raised their guns.

"What is—"

Sweat immediately broke across his forehead as he staggered backward.

He had no powers.

No awakening.

He was merely a human whose authority had always been enough to protect him.

But now, that authority meant nothing.

The weapons came closer.

"You useless fools!" he shouted.

He stumbled backward and instantly fell onto his butt.

The men stopped just before him, pulling their weapons back before they could strike.

The atmosphere exploded with whispers.

Some students struggled to suppress their laughter, while others stared in complete shock and confusion.

No one had expected the situation to turn out like this.

Mr. Kevin sat on the ground, drenched in sweat and trembling with fear.

Then June majestically stepped forward.

He stood directly before him, smiling down at his terrified face.

The sight was strangely satisfying.

For once, Mr. Kevin was the one looking helpless.

June’s smile widened as he stretched out his hand and leaned closer.

"Oh no. Did you slip because of your silly men?"

He smiled innocently. "Take my hand. I’ll help you up."
