June fell asleep in class.

He had spent most of the night plotting how he would save Nyx from his parents, leaving himself with barely any sleep.

Because the moment Mr. Watt looked up and saw June sleeping, his expression turned cold.

He stared at him for a moment before the students around June started nudging him awake.

The professor gestured for him to stand.

"Just because you managed to clear a compatibility test with your pathetic F-rank status doesn’t mean you can sleep in my class," Mr. Watt said coldly. "Are you stupid, or are you simply an F-rank? Or does one come with the other?"

June stared at him without responding.

He genuinely hated this man’s face.

Mr. Watt glanced down at his book.

"I’ll ask you one question. If you fail to answer it, you will leave my class and never enter it again for the rest of this section."

Mr. Watt nodded approvingly.

"Thank you, Miss Ell, for that wonderful contribution. Unlike some people, I can always say you’re worth every minute of my time."

She smiled proudly as she prepared to sit down.

But June suddenly smiled.

"I would have been impressed if she were actually right."

The girl froze.

June continued, "But I suppose shallow textbook knowledge has become the trend these days, even at an elite academy like this."

The entire class went silent.

Confused faces turned toward him.

Mr. Watt’s expression darkened.

"And what exactly do you mean by that?"

June smiled.

He paused.

June tilted his head.

"Emperor Kant Emerald. That’s probably why it’s called the Great Emerald Guide Mana, despite the mana itself not even being emerald."

He smiled.

"That’s basically the summary. There’s much more to it, but we won’t get into that."

His smile widened as he looked around the classroom.

"And I bet most of you probably wouldn’t know any of it because superficial literacy has become the norm. Surface-level studying without any genuine effort to understand the subject seems to be the standard for some people."

He deliberately looked toward Mr. Watt.

The entire classroom fell silent as everyone stared at June.

"What rubbish are you saying?"

"It’s not rubbish."

He paused at the doorway.

"And I’ll make sure it happens. So don’t get too cocky."

With that, he turned and walked away.

"Oh, that was exhausting." June shook his head. "I’m still so sleepy."

"You were so cool back there. How did you even know all of that?" Ryan asked, clearly impressed.

June smiled and shrugged.

"I just read it somewhere."

Just as they were leaving the classroom, someone suddenly rushed toward them and stopped directly in their path.

The young man was panting heavily.

"..."

June and Ryan stared at him in confusion.

"What’s wrong?" June asked.

The young man wiped the sweat from his forehead and caught his breath.

"The Elite 5 have summoned you for practice," he announced. "Right now."
