[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 94: UNSTABLEChapter 94: 94: UNSTABLE
"Enough with the lovey-dovey nonsense. Let’s get down to business," Rayder snapped from above.
June and Nyx had just finished synchronizing when they turned to look up at him.
"We don’t have the whole day. Let’s get this over with."
Nyx looked at June.
"I’ll be back," he said with a slight nod before turning and heading toward the stage.
June remained where he stood, watching as Nyx stepped onto the arena and prepared for combat.
He couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling in his chest.
Their compatibility was solid, and Nyx’s energy was actually quite decent for an F-rank Esper. But his emotional energy was unstable, and that instability affected several other aspects of his power.
June had managed to stabilize Nyx’s emotional energy the last time they met, but somehow, it had become unstable again.
June couldn’t help but connect it to Nyx’s environment.
Even if he managed to restore Nyx’s emotional energy to one hundred percent, as long as Nyx remained in an environment where he constantly had to deal with his parents, Kevin, and the trauma surrounding them, his emotional energy would continue fluctuating.
It would simply become a cycle of fixing and breaking down again.
And that wasn’t good for Nyx’s power development.
Rayder smiled as he walked toward the side of the arena where the weapons were kept. He reached out and picked up a black spear with a blunt tip.
"So, what weapon are you using?" Rayder asked, looking toward Nyx on the opposite side. "Oh, right. I forgot you haven’t chosen your signature weapons yet."
He dropped the spear.
"Fine. I’ll play fair. We’ll fight without weapons."
Cheers erupted from the audience as the battle began.
Nyx barely had time to react before Rayder moved.
He slid across the ground on the tip of his toe, closing the distance between them before driving his foot toward Nyx’s face.
Nyx raised both arms to shield himself, but Rayder immediately struck his side with his other leg.
The impact sent Nyx spinning through the air before he crashed heavily onto the floor.
Rayder stood over him with a smile.
"Pathetic. Weak."
Nyx struggled back to his feet, but Rayder attacked again.
A punch slammed across Nyx’s face.
Then another.
Before Nyx could recover, Rayder drove his knee into his stomach, sending him flying through the air before he crashed hard onto the arena floor.
Rayder didn’t stop.
He attacked Nyx while he was still down, raising his foot to stomp him into the ground.
Nyx managed to roll away just in time.
Rayder smiled.
"That won’t save you, you weak loser."
He grabbed Nyx and hurled him into the air.
Nyx struggled to regain his balance, but Rayder followed him upward.
He violently kicked Nyx through the air, striking him repeatedly until the final blow sent him crashing back onto the floor.
Blood dripped from Nyx’s mouth as he crawled across the ground, struggling to stand.
Rayder wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and smiled.
"What? Can’t hold on for much longer?"
He approached Nyx from behind and kicked him hard in the back.
Nyx crashed to the floor again, blood spilling from his lips.
Evelyn and the others stood behind Rayder, watching with satisfied smiles.
Evelyn, in particular, looked pleased.
The crowd erupted into cheers.
Rayder was tearing Nyx apart.
He beat him relentlessly, giving him no opportunity to breathe. Nyx’s face was already bruised, his body weakened from the continuous assault.
June panicked from where he stood.
On one hand, he was terrified for Nyx, who was being brutally beaten.
On the other, he was terrified because he couldn’t guide him properly.
Nyx’s energy was dropping faster than June could manage.
His emotional state had become such a mess that it was directly affecting their compatibility.
June couldn’t handle it.
He simply wasn’t experienced enough to deal with this level of disconnection.
Nyx’s emotional energy was in complete chaos, and June had no idea what had happened to cause it.
That was probably why Nyx was in such a terrible state.
June didn’t know what was happening inside him, and because of that, their synchronization was rapidly breaking down.
He tried.
June desperately attempted to establish a mental connection since the physical distance between them was too great.
But it failed.
With an S-rank Esper relentlessly tearing Nyx down, June’s F-rank guiding ability simply wasn’t enough.
For the first time, June felt completely weak and useless.
And he hated that feeling.
"End him! End him! End him!"
The crowd’s brutal chants echoed throughout the arena.
It disgusted June.
They cheered even louder as Rayder slammed Nyx onto the floor.
Rayder finally stepped back, staring at Nyx as he slowly made his way toward the weapon stand.
He picked up the black spear again.
A smile spread across his face as he turned back toward Nyx, who was struggling onto one knee.
"As your senior, maybe I should teach you a thing or two about weapons."
He raised the spear slightly.
"It would be considerate of me, right?"
"Asshole."
June couldn’t watch anymore.
He couldn’t bear it.
He immediately rushed onto the stage and dropped to his knees beside Nyx, catching him before he could collapse completely.
Nyx leaned against him, barely able to remain upright.
June glared at Rayder.
"You pathetic asshole..."
The crowd went wild.
Boos and jeers erupted as they demanded June leave the stage and shouted for Rayder to take down both of them.
"Why are you hesitating?" Evelyn demanded. "Take them both down if they want to get hurt together."
She wanted to see June suffer.
Karen smiled.
"Exactly. The juniors should learn the harsh side of the Esper world. It’s only logical."
"Don’t hold back. Tear them down," Luther demanded.
Rayder smiled, gripping the spear as he stared down at June.
Their eyes locked.
"I’ll count to three. Leave if you don’t want to get hurt, little cute Guide."
"Do your worst."
June’s voice was calm.
His eyes remained locked with Rayder’s as he held Nyx firmly against him, as though letting go wasn’t an option.
At that moment, June decided to play his card.
His gaze remained fixed on Rayder as he quietly prepared to use his power against him.
"One..."
The arena seemed to hold its breath.
"Two..."
Their eyes remained locked.
But before June could reach three, Rayder suddenly blinked.
His expression changed.
He looked away.
Then, without another word, he walked back toward the weapon stand and dropped the spear.
"I guess that’s it for today."
He turned around.
"Game over. We won. They lost."
And with that, Rayder walked away, leaving the entire arena stunned.
