There was a shift in the atmosphere as everyone stared keenly at the mist before them. It formed the images from Hye Yang’s mind at the same pace, yet for some reason, it felt ridiculously slower.

Mira heard a female grunt, it was Hye Yang. She sounded like she was in so much pain. Mira spared Hye Yang a look from where she was at, still knelt down before the shaman and eyes glowing with her mouth ajar as his fingers were in contact with her forehead. One of Hye Yang’s eyes twitched and she began to groan even more in a long, uncut breath.

"Is she okay?" Mira asked Ming Tao. Hye Yang deserved to be in pain after all the things that she had done to the old owner of this body and to this current Mira but Mira still felt a bit of concern. Maybe it was the gullible, old Mira bleeding into her mind, she could not tell but whatever the shaman was doing to Hye Yang looked painful.

"I do not know. It will only hurt if she is trying to put on a mental fortitude." Ming Tao said to Mira, his attention was on the mist so he did not glance at her one bit. From his tone, he did not seem to care if she was hurt or not. When Mira did not say anything else, Ming Tao turned to face her. "If she does not try to not let him in, it will be less painful. She will be fine, many beasts have survived this before. Hye Yang will be no different." He said to Mira with a smile.

Mira sighed. She knew the only reason Ming Tao was saying this was not because he did not think Hye Yang deserving, but because he wanted to keep Mira’s mind at ease.

Ming Tao squeezed his hand into Mira’s skin, tightening his grip on her waist by only a little bit. "You still care about her even after all that she has done, you are so sweet, my darling." Ming Tao said to Mira.

This sounded more like; I cannot believe that you still care about her wellbeing but I love you and will support your concern for her even though I personally wish she was dead, and Mira did not know whether to laugh about it or not. Mira let her lips form a line.

"She is my sister after all," she responded to Ming Tao. "I cannot help but care."

Your sister almost killed you and your cubs when you were pregnant, drugged and hypnotised me so that I will be unkind and evil to you, she summoned the ruling oracle to ensure that you are cast away from the tribe and stripped of your status and this was not even all that she had planned yet you still care this much, Ming Tao said to himself in his head. He wanted to say these out loud to his wife to snap some sense into her but he held himself, the last thing he wanted was to spike a negative reaction from her towards himself, but he genuinely could not understand how a woman can be this kind, he felt the urge to protect his wife now more than ever because someone could push her into a fire an she would still wish them good.

Ming Tao swallowed at the irony. Mira had done terrible things to him in past yet here he was. Ming Tao cleared his throat and returned his attention to Mira. "Yes, I understand. Family is a very tricky bond." He said to her instead while clinging onto her more. "Now, let us watch together." He added in a calm tone. The most display was still going on and he knew that it would not be halted simply because the two of them wanted to have tiny, little conversations at a time they they should not although if he wanted it to be restarted, all he needed to do was say a word.

"Yes, let us." Mira said to him. She directed her head forward to stare at the mist scenery along with Ming Tao.

The Mist showed images of Hye Yang disguising herself and crossing the territory border into the enemy tribe. A gasp left Mira’s mouth as she watched this.

So Hye Yang indeed had been dealing with their enemy tribe all this time, it was how she acquired the leaves, Mira said to herself as she kept watching. This was not news to her but watching it live was something else.

Hye Yang had not only gone once or twice, it was a frequent visit she did and each time, there was an exchange. She went with something yet came back with something else and the people she interacted with were blurred out of the mist scenery along with their voices.

"Why can we not see the faces of those that she communicates with?" Ming Tao asked. He was the only one to voice out what was plaguing everyone’s mind.

"The sorcerer she had been in contact with has used very strong dark magic to ensure to keep his or her tracks hidden. These are only proof of it, oh ye great one." The shaman responded to Ming Tao.

"You are a shaman. Can you outdo the dark magic and make it clear for us all to see?" Ming Tao asked. So many beast people were watching and Ming Tao did not want there to be any form of doubt at the end of this. He needed Hye Yang to be exposed for the evil being that she was and be casted out of the beast world for good.

"I can, oh ye great one." The shaman responded. His tone sounded hesitant.

"Then do it." Ming Tao said.

"It will come at a great risk to the holder of this body if I push further, after all, it is her mind I am searching through." The shaman responded.

Hye Yang has committed so many atrocities and her right to be treated any less than a rogue is gone, her wellbeing does not matter either, Ming Tao wanted to say but he held himself, not when there were other important guests watching and not when the beast people present were not fully convinced that Hye Yang was not innocent. He needed them focused enough to see it with their own eyes without being carried away by his statement.

"How badly would the damages be?" Ming Tao queried.

"The owner of this body might lose her senses." The shaman said. "She is already putting up a mental fight that is not good for her." The shaman sounded genuinely worried about Hye Yang. Ming Tao sighed. He let his attention go to Mira and whispered.

"What do you think?" He asked Mira. "We are this close to finding out everything your sister has ever done against you and the tribe. We are this close to clearing your name as the demon of the forest and making you free from hate and the fear of harm from your sister and every other beast person that have had hatred towards you because of her but it will come at a risk which you have heard. Should we proceed? Hye Yang is your sister and I do not want to make the decision for you or without you. I need you to tell me what you want, Mira."

A lump formed in Mira’s throat as she heard Ming Tao’s words. Having her name cleared as the demon of the forest will ease ninety percent of the work load she would have from her tasks in the beast world. Most of the people would not hate her anymore or would hate her less and if word spreads from this feast, which she was sure would, it will do her a lot more good than harm. Yet it came at her sister’s mental health. Hye Yang could run mad. Not that this Mira cared much about that, but the she bore the memories and the body of old Mira and it made her question her choice.

The old Mira would definitely not want to see her sister suffer, she had always trusted her sister and wanted to protect her.

[ I do not want to be the one to say this and I cannot believe I even have to, but I cannot believe that you are contemplating this question at all, host. I thought your answer would already be profound! ] System chimed.

Mira swallowed. She thought so too, this entire feast was held for this sole purpose and it has already been delayed way too much for her not to achieve the reason it was hosted but Hye Yang running mad did not seem like a good equation in this regard. People still took her side, they could say that the reason she went mad was because we needed the truth to be hidden and without Hye Yang being sane, she could neither confirm it nor deny it so this was a hard decision to make considering the end result could be a maybe.

"Mira. . ." Ming Tao called softly. "What should the shaman do? Tell me, and I will give him the order this instant."
