Building Interstellar Empire With Universal Synthesis
Chapter 229: Horror ReversalThe sky above the newly forged central planet was no longer a sky. It was a rotting canvas of gray sludge.
The Primordial Horror known as Azathoth did not possess a mind or a soul. It was merely an instinctual manifestation of cosmic decay, a remnant of the chaotic abyss that existed before the universe was ordered.
Massive maws lined with jagged teeth snapped wildly at the empty vacuum. Every time the beast inhaled, the fabric of reality tore a little wider. The artificial sun hovering above Neo began to dim, its radiant golden light actively turning into flakes of cold ash just by touching the aura of the beast.
Up on the Zenith Vanguard flagship, Dark Empress Noir watched the planetary sensors scream in red absolute terror. Her LORD class warships were designed to withstand supernovas, but their dark armor plating was currently rusting away.
Down below, Neo Godson remained entirely unfazed.
He hovered a few thousand feet above his pristine world. The gray aura of absolute decay crashed down upon him like a tidal wave of spiritual acid. Any other deity in the universe would have unleashed their most devastating attacks to destroy the creature in a blind panic.
Neo simply smiled. His analytical mind processed the threat in a fraction of a second.
Attacking the Primordial Horror with pure energy was incredibly stupid. The beast fed on existence. If Neo threw a concentrated blast of Searing Flame or Cosmic Force at Azathoth, the creature would simply eat the attack, grow larger, and multiply its rotting influence. Slicing it with the Sunfire Judgment Blade would only create two rotting monsters instead of one.
The Upper Court had played a very clever hand. They had sent a weapon that could not be fought with conventional overwhelming power.
Unfortunately for the Pantheon, Neo was not a conventional fighter.
He opened his status window with a mere thought.
[ Target: Azathoth, the Blind Devourer. ]
[ Composition: Antimatter, Primordial Rot, Absolute Zero Existence. ]
[ Threat Level: Cosmic Catastrophe. ]
[ Note: Entity cannot be destroyed by energetic or physical means. ]
"Absolute zero existence. They sent a creature made of nothing to kill a man who wears nothing as armor."
Neo deactivated his Sunfire Judgment Blade. He let the brilliant platinum light fade away entirely. He did not need a sword for this execution. He needed a cage.
He triggered his S rank Infinite Void Shield Body and pushed it past its absolute limits. He poured half a million points of his Cosmic Force directly into the defensive skill.
A sphere of pitch black darkness exploded outward from Neo.
The Infinite Void expanded at the speed of light, rushing upward to meet the descending mass of Azathoth.
The Primordial Horror let out a soundless shriek as the black sphere completely engulfed its Jupiter sized body.
The beast instinctively tried to devour the darkness. Its jagged maws snapped and chewed furiously at the edges of the barrier.
It achieved absolutely nothing.
Primordial Rot required matter, energy, or cosmic laws to decay. The Infinite Void contained none of those things. It was a conceptual vacuum. Azathoth was trapped inside a spherical prison of pure nonexistence, frantically trying to rot something that was not there. The massive creature began to thrash violently, starving and deeply confused.
"Step one is complete. Now for step two."
He looked past the writhing beast and focused his golden reptilian eyes on the jagged dimensional tear in the sky. The gods had dropped the monster through this hole, and they had immediately sealed the borders behind it.
Neo could clearly see the golden chains of cosmic law woven across the spatial rift. They pulsed with the supreme authority of Aethelgard. The Prime Deity of Cosmic Law had locked the door from the outside, ensuring the rot would be perfectly contained within the eastern mortal sector.
Neo raised his right hand, and his fingers ignited with the deep crimson glow of his Celestial Hellfire Eragon bloodline. He merged the ancient demonic flame with his newly acquired Divine Authority of Searing Flame. The resulting fire was a terrifying shade of black and gold.
He did not attack Azathoth. He aimed his open palm directly at the sealed spatial rift.
"Did you really think a padlock could keep me out?" Neo mocked the absent gods.
He unleashed a concentrated beam of black and gold hellfire. The beam bypassed the trapped Primordial Horror entirely and struck the golden chains sealing the dimensional tear.
The collision created a silent shockwave that rippled across the entire solar system. Aethelgard possessed supreme authority over cosmic law, but Neo now wielded the fundamental flames that predated those very laws. The black and gold fire melted the golden chains in a matter of seconds.
The spatial tear violently ripped wide open. The pathway to the God Realm was fully exposed.
Through the rift, Neo could sense the overwhelmingly dense, intoxicating aroma of pure divine energy. It was the Apex Pantheon Hall. The highest concentration of faith energy and holy mana in the entire universe.
Inside the Infinite Void prison, Azathoth suddenly stopped thrashing.
Even without eyes or a mind, the Primordial Horror possessed a primal instinct for hunger. The opened rift was leaking a scent that was irresistibly delicious to a creature made of rot. The God Realm was the ultimate all you can eat buffet.
Neo flew directly behind the massive sphere of Infinite Void holding the beast.
"I am not going to eat you. You taste terrible. But I know some people who are absolutely starved for your company."
Neo activated his SS rank Abyssal Devour skill, but he did not use it to consume. He used it to strictly manipulate gravity. He generated a massive repulsive field directly behind himself, and he projected an overwhelming attractive gravity well squarely inside the open spatial rift leading to the Pantheon.
Then, Neo channeled 900,000 points of raw Strength into his arms.
He shoved the sphere of Infinite Void forward.
The Jupiter sized mass of primordial decay was launched upward with terrifying velocity. Driven by Neo's apocalyptic physical strength and the gravitational vacuum pulling from the rift, Azathoth shot through the vacuum of space like a rotting cannonball.
As the beast approached the spatial tear, Neo snapped his fingers.
He dismissed the Infinite Void prison.
Suddenly freed from its cage, Azathoth found itself perfectly positioned at the threshold of the God Realm.
The creature charged forward with mindless, starving ecstasy, diving directly into the spatial rift. Its massive, decaying body squeezed through the dimensional border, dragging the surrounding vacuum along with it.
Neo watched the last remnants of the gray sludge vanish into the higher dimension. He casually waved his hand, using his nether force to manually stitch the spatial tear closed behind the beast.
He even added a thick layer of his own Celestial Hellfire to seal the lock, ensuring the gods could not simply throw the monster back.
The sky above the central planet instantly cleared. The artificial sun blazed with radiant golden light once again.

Up in the highest echelons of reality, the Apex Pantheon Hall was a picture of supreme arrogance and quiet relief.
The four Greater Deities sat around the starlight table. The magical projection was gone, severed to prevent the rot from leaking. They were simply waiting for the inevitable shift in the cosmic leylines that would signal the death of Neo Godson.
"It is a shame," Korvan rumbled, resting his massive boots on the edge of the polished starlight table. "The boy had a warrior's spirit. Dying to a mindless pile of sludge is a very undignified end."
"It was necessary. The Eragon bloodline cannot be allowed to take root. A million mortal galaxies will rot, but the Pantheon remains secure. Order is preserved."
Solaria smoothed out her dress of woven sunbeams, a haughty smile returning to her flawless face.
"I will have to rebuild my eastern solar arrays, but at least that filthy mortal anomaly is finally erased from my sight."
Thalassa swirled a goblet of freezing dark water in her hand. She opened her mouth to make a sarcastic remark about Solaria complaining over trivial matters.
She never got the chance to speak.
The indestructible marble ceiling of the Apex Pantheon Hall suddenly violently exploded.
A massive, jagged dimensional rift tore open directly above their heads. The rift was lined with black and gold hellfire, completely overriding the sacred wards that protected the Upper Court.
Before the gods could even stand up, a Jupiter sized mass of festering gray sludge plummeted from the rift.
The smell of absolute decay hit them like a physical hammer. It was a stench so profoundly wrong that it caused the divine ichor in their veins to curdle.
Azathoth crashed directly onto the center of the starlight table.
The impact did not shatter the table. The table simply ceased to exist, rotting into a puddle of gray ash instantly.
"What is this!" Solaria shrieked in absolute terror, scrambling backward as a jagged maw snapped just inches from her face. The radiant heat radiating from her body was actively sucked into the beast, rapidly feeding its mindless hunger.
"What In The Heavens! The boy threw it back!" Korvan roared in utter disbelief.
