Behind them, sword and halberd golems shifted into position, their weapons lifting at different angles to strike the moment Valeria tried to break through. The formation was impressive. The ancient guardians clearly possessed tactical awareness, and for a moment the golden wall they created looked almost unbreakable.

Unfortunately for them, Valeria had no intention of breaking through it the normalway. Her crimson aura slowly rose from her body, thick and heavy like blood mist, wrapping around her sword until the entire blade glowed with a dark red light.

The temperature of the air seemed to drop as the blood aura sharpened along the edge of the weapon, and the moment her fingers tightened around the hilt, cracks spread beneath her boots. She moved.

The distance between her and the shield wall vanished instantly. The golems reacted quickly, driving their shields downward in unison, causing golden runes to flare across their surfaces as a massive defensive barrier formed before them.

Valeria’s sword struck that barrier head-on, and the resulting explosion shook the entire treasury.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The first sound came from her blade hitting the barrier, the second from the barrier shattering, and the third from the shield golems behind it being launched backward like broken toys.

Their enormous bodies crashed into the guardians behind them, crushing sword and halberd units together in a tangled mess of golden limbs and shattered weapons. Valeria stepped into the opening before the formation could recover, her body blurring into a crimson streak as she swept through the collapsed line with frightening ease.

One swing removed three heads. Another split two bodies cleanly at the waist. A third strike carved a diagonal trench through the marble floor and destroyed everything standing along its path.

The golems tried to surround her againbut Valeria’s speed made such tactics useless. A sword golem swung from the right, only for her to vanish before the blade arrived and reappear on its shoulder.

Her fist came down on its head like a hammer, crushing the golden skull flat into its chest. A halberd golem thrust from behind, but she caught the weapon’s shaft with one hand, yanked the massive guardian forward, and kicked its knee inward hard enough to fold the limb backward.

Before the guardian could collapse, her sword flashed and cut through its core. Another shield golem charged at her like a moving fortress, its entire body covered in glowing defensive runes, but Valeria simply met it head-on.

She stepped forward, planted one foot into the marble, and punched the center of the shield. The impact produced a thunderous BOOM that echoed all the way to the ceiling, and the enormous shield caved inward before exploding into fragments.

The golem behind it flew backward with its chest crushed, crashing into two other guardians and turning all three into a pile of sparking scrap.

The entire lower hall became a storm of crimson light and golden destruction. Valeria’s movements were so fast that most of the Guild members could no longer follow her directly; they only saw the results of her attacks.

A crimson flash passed through a group of guardians, and a moment later, their bodies split apart. A red arc appeared above a golem’s head, and its upper body slid from its waist.

A burst of blood-colored aura exploded outward, and several golden machines were smashed into the ground hard enough to leave deep craters in the marble. She did not fight like someone struggling against powerful enemies.

She fought like a superior predator clearing insects from her path. Each movement was clean, deliberate, and terrifyingly efficient, proving with every strike why even Sage, who had grown dramatically stronger, still treated her strength with respect.

The remaining golems seemed to sense the worsening situation. Their runes flared brighter, and their movements became faster, more aggressive, as if the treasury itself had ordered them to abandon restraint.

The sword golems charged together, blades crossing in a coordinated pattern meantto trap Valeria between multiple killing angles, while the halberd golems attacked from behind, their long weapons cutting off every escape route.

For an ordinary fighter, it would have been a perfect encirclement. For Valeria, it was merely an opening. She crouched slightly, blood aura gathering around her legs, and in the next instant she launched herself upward.

The weapons clashed beneath her, missing completely, while she twisted in midair and brought her broadsword down with both hands. A gigantic crimson crescent tore through the formation from above, smashing into the floor with terrifying force and splitting the entire group apart.

The impact blasted golden bodies in every direction, some crushed beyond recognition, others cut open so cleanly that their innermechanisms spilled out like glowing organs.

One final golem remained standing in the first wave.

It was larger than the others, nearly eight meters tall, carrying both a greatshield and a massive sword. Its armor was thicker, its runes brighter, and its mana core pulsed with a deep golden light that made the air tremble around it.

The guardian raised its sword while lowering its shield, clearly preparing a full-force charge. Valeria landed in front of it, her sword resting against her shoulder, and for the first time since the battle began, she seemed to properly look at one of them.

The giant golem charged, every step shaking the treasury as it crossedthe distance between them like a golden avalanche. Its sword descended with the weight of a collapsing tower, while its shield pushed forward to crush her escape route. Valeria waited until the final moment before stepping slightly to the side.

The sword missed by a narrow margin and tore a massive scar through the marble floor. At the same time, her crimson blade rose in a smooth upward arc and sliced through the golem’s shield arm from wrist to shoulder. Before the severed limb could fall, she spun once, gathered blood aura around the edge of her sword, and delivered a second slash directly across the guardian’s chest.

BOOM!

The golem’s core exploded.Golden light filled the lower hall for several seconds asthe last guardian staggered backward, its massive body cracking from within before collapsing to the floor in pieces.

The first wave was finally over. Broken golems lay scattered everywhere, their golden bodies reduced to twisted scrap metal, severed limbs, crushed cores, broken weapons, and flickering runes that slowly dimmed one after another.

The marble floor around Valeria looked like a battlefield after a siege, but she stood in the center of it all with her broadsword resting calmly in one hand, her crimson hair drifting gently in the unstable mana currents. Apart from a few scratches on her armor and some dust clinging to her boots, she looked almost untouched.

Above her, Sage and the others staredfor a moment despite themselves.

Boren’s mouth hung open as he looked at the golden wreckage covering the floor. "She... she turned them into scrap metal."

Gregor gave a stiff nod. "That is exactly what she did."

Mina smiled smugly. "Told you. Big sister Valeria is the best."

Valeria did not look up at them. Her eyes remained fixed on the far end of the hall, where the massive golden doors that had released the first wave stood silent.

For a brief second, everything became still. The echoes of battle faded. The runes on the broken golems dimmed. Even the floating bubbles above seemed to drift more quietly than before.

Then the entire hall shook.A deep mechanical groan rolled through the treasury, far heavier than anything the first wave had produced. Sage’s expression changed as he turned toward the source of the sound.

The golden runes carved across the walls flared violently, and at the opposite end of the hall, another enormous gate slowly began to open, its ancient hinges roaring like waking beasts as a darker, heavier pressure poured into the treasury.

Valeria slowly tightened her grip around her sword.

The second gate had opened.
