The first class was about to begin, so the homeroom teacher left the classroom.
Her primary responsibility was managing the class, and she did not teach any of their subjects.
The homeroom teacher had barely stepped out when the teacher for their first class of the day entered.
He was a broad-built man who appeared to be around thirty years old, and he taught mathematics.
The moment Kotone Asaba saw the man enter the classroom, his previously relaxed, almost lazy gaze sharpened slightly.
He immediately recognized him as Mr. Tanaka, the scumbag teacher who preyed on the class president and was eventually turned into the Tanaka Spinal Cord Sword.
Although Kotone supposed he was not exactly qualified to call anyone else a scumbag...

Should this man dare harbor any improper thoughts about Makima, Kotone would not mind finding the War Devil, having Makima control her, and turning the bastard into the Tanaka Spinal Cord Sword all over again.
Makima had naturally noticed Mr. Tanaka’s gaze as well. She met his eyes, and a dangerous smile gradually appeared on her flawless face.
Mr. Tanaka remained completely oblivious and assumed Makima was smiling at him.
He had no idea that if Kotone had not warned Makima against casually using her Control power on ordinary people, he would already have been barking like a dog in front of the entire class.
Mr. Tanaka eventually realized that he had lost his composure and quickly snapped back to reality.
"All right, let’s begin today’s mathematics lesson. Everyone, take out your textbooks and turn to..."
During the break after the first class, Mr. Tanaka had barely left the room when several students gathered around Kotone.
Of course, far more students surrounded Makima, especially boys.
Even as Mr. Tanaka walked through the hallway toward the faculty office, he secretly glanced at Makima several more times through the classroom windows.
"Makima, were you able to understand everything from the lesson? Since it’s your first day, you might have trouble keeping up. I can lend you my class notes if you need them."
"I have notes too! Mine are much more detailed than his!"
"Makima, would you like me to show you around the school? It’ll be inconvenient if you don’t know your way around after transferring here."
Asa Mitaka sat nearby, growing increasingly irritated as she watched her classmates, especially the boys, enthusiastically fawning over Makima.
She found their behavior unbearable, though jealousy was also partly responsible.
The girl named Makima had only arrived at school today, yet she was already incredibly popular.
Asa, meanwhile, still did not have a single friend. Hardly any of her classmates even remembered her name.
It seemed that only the class president and Mr. Tanaka did.
