Kotone and Makima had already returned home when the Affinity notifications appeared before his eyes.

She had gone and worked herself into liking him again...

Asa’s Affinity was already close to fifty percent. He wondered who the next person added to the Affinity Codex would be.

"Where did you and Makima go today? Why are you both wearing some school’s uniform?"

As soon as Kotone returned home, Reze questioned him.

"He was obviously out chasing women again," the Snow Woman said calmly as she ate ice cream.

"Probably. Just look at Koto. Had he not been out flirting, he would already be desperately explaining himself, just like he did with Elena last time."

Reze had essentially figured Kotone out by now.

"..."

Kotone genuinely could not argue with that.

After all, his true intention had been to increase Asa’s Affinity, so he could not help feeling guilty.

He had originally intended for their relationship to develop in the direction of friendship, but judging from the situation, Asa’s feelings toward him did not seem entirely platonic...

The main problem was that Asa had never even had a friend before. The more deprived someone was of companionship, the more desperately they longed for it. When the person offering that companionship was a member of the opposite sex, friendship could easily develop into something else.

"There’s nothing anyone can do about it. He simply can’t control himself," Makima added.

Kotone suddenly felt as though he had drawn the anger of every woman in the house, so he went to play with Pochita instead.

Pochita had spent the entire day playing video games with Little Gun and was currently taking a break.

Kotone walked over, picked Pochita up with both hands, and raised him high above his head.

At that moment, he suddenly remembered that Pochita probably still did not know Kotone could transform into Chainsaw Man too.

Pochita was bound to discover it sooner or later, so Kotone decided he might as well tell him now.

"Hey, Pochita. Would you believe me if I said I could turn into you?"

Kotone spoke to Pochita while holding him above his head.

"Woof?"

Pochita sounded confused, as though he did not understand what Kotone meant.

Kotone immediately activated Pochita’s power and transformed into Black Chainsaw right in front of him.

His appearance was almost identical to Pochita’s Black Chainsaw form, causing Pochita’s eyes to widen in astonishment.

His eyes were already huge, but now they looked even bigger.

"You can think of it as me copying your power," Kotone explained. "Since you don’t want to become Chainsaw Man again, I can take your place from now on. What do you think?"

"Woof!"

Pochita appeared to agree.

At that moment, however, a potoo resembling an owl flew past the window.

Had Kotone noticed it, he would have realized that the potoo was the War Devil.

Pochita had gravely wounded the War Devil in Hell, and she had yet to recover. As a result, she had been reduced to the form of a potoo.

The War Devil’s potoo form was similar to the Chainsaw Devil’s Pochita form. Both were miniature versions of their true bodies.

Unfortunately, Kotone’s entire attention was focused on Pochita, and his back was turned toward the window. He completely failed to notice the potoo flying past.

"A familiar scent just passed by," Makima suddenly said.

Kotone immediately became alert upon hearing that and quickly returned to his human form.

For a scent to attract Makima’s attention and feel familiar to her, it was most likely one of the Four Horsewomen.

In other words, one of Makima’s sisters?
