The War Devil’s ability was to transform anything that belonged to her into a weapon. That meant she would eventually possess absolute control over Kotone Asaba.
It was similar to the Control Devil’s power of domination.
"Chainsaw Man? What’s that?"
Asa Mitaka looked confused.
"There’s no point trying to explain it to you. Just think of it this way. My condition is that we find Chainsaw Man so I can take revenge on him. Your condition is that I help you win over that human named Kotone Asaba. Can you accept a contract like that?"

Asa still hesitated, but she was becoming increasingly tempted.
She did not have the courage to take her relationship with Kotone any further on her own. If she made a contract with the War Devil and became a Devil Hunter herself, she might be able to grow closer to him.
Besides, a Devil’s strength was supposedly connected to its name. The more people feared something, the stronger the Devil born from that fear would become. There were undoubtedly plenty of people who feared something called "war."

The War Devil had not expected Asa to resist temptation so well and cursed in frustration.

The War Devil stopped wasting words and immediately invaded Asa’s body.

Then, another version of herself suddenly appeared before her.
The other girl looked almost exactly like her. Even the school uniform she wore was identical.
The only noticeable difference was the scar crossing the bridge of her nose, which Asa herself did not possess.
"Who are you?!"
Asa recoiled in shock.
"I’m the War Devil. You could also say that I’m you."
The War Devil’s current identity could more accurately be called Yoru.
Yoru raised the corner of her mouth and continued, "I forcibly took over one-third of your brain. That means you still have the remaining two-thirds."
In truth, it was not that she only wanted to occupy one-third. She would have preferred to seize half of Asa’s brain outright, but she no longer possessed enough strength to do so.
There was naturally a considerable difference between controlling one-third of someone’s brain and controlling half of it. In her current state, she could not forcibly use Asa’s body whenever she pleased.
If she controlled Asa’s body for too long, or if Asa’s resistance became too intense, Yoru could easily lose control of it.
Things would have been completely different if she had taken over half of Asa’s brain. In that case, Yoru would have held the dominant position inside her body.
"You... You actually did that?!"
Asa’s face immediately changed when she heard that one-third of her brain had been taken over.
She assumed it would have extremely serious consequences.
"Why are you making such a fuss? It’s not like I’m going to kill you."
Yoru spoke indifferently.
At that moment, a swirling portal suddenly appeared in front of Asa.
Kotone Asaba stepped directly out of it.
