Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Borrowing the Future Devil’s Power

By this point, Yoru had already returned control of the body to Asa, but Asa felt like there was no room for her to join the conversation between Asaba and Fami.

"Then... Yoru and I will head home first."

It was obvious that Asaba and Fami had something important to deal with, so Asa decided not to get in their way.

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

Kotone replied, then headed to Tokyo Public Safety with Fami.

At the entrance to Tokyo Public Safety, the guards saw two students in school uniforms approaching and failed to recognize Kotone at first.

"Hey! You two students over there! This isn’t somewhere you can just come in and mess around!"

One of the guards immediately warned them.

Hearing that, Kotone took out his identification to avoid any unnecessary trouble.

"Oh! Captain Asaba. Sorry about that."

After getting a clear look at the identification, the guard apologized repeatedly.

"And this girl is also...?"

The guard turned his attention toward Fami. As far as he could remember, he had never seen her before.

"No. She’s an upperclassman of mine, and she also attends Fourth East High School."

Kotone explained, "I’m bringing her inside to take a look around Tokyo Public Safety. She’s also one of the main people responsible for the Devil Hunter Club at school, so she isn’t exactly a complete outsider when it comes to this field."

Then Kotone added, "And if anything unexpected happens, I’ll take full responsibility."

"Understood. Of course, there’s no problem."

The guard immediately agreed.

Since Captain Asaba had already gone that far, there was no reason for him to make things difficult.

Kotone and Fami then entered Tokyo Public Safety without any further trouble.

Their first stop was Yuki Kirisu’s office.

"I need to borrow the Future Devil’s power."

Kotone made the request to Yuki.

He then gave her a general explanation of everything that had happened.

There was no particular reason to hide the Prophecy of Nostradamus from Yuki.

After listening to Kotone’s explanation, Yuki nodded slightly.

"I see."

"By the way, who is this girl? I doubt she’s an ordinary student."

Yuki narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked at Fami.

They were almost identical to Makima’s.

"She’s an upperclassman of mine. You could also say she’s Makima’s older sister."

Kotone answered truthfully.

Fami herself didn’t care whether people discovered that she was the Famine Devil, so Kotone had even less reason to hide it.

"So she really is connected to Makima? And she’s her sister? Devils can have family relationships?"

Yuki immediately looked puzzled.

"I don’t know how their family relationships actually work. She just calls herself Makima’s sister. She’s the Famine Devil."

Kotone explained.

"The Famine Devil... So she’s also one of the Horsemen?!"

Yuki considered it for a moment. "I see. So the Four Horsemen refer to one another as sisters. It’s not particularly useful information, but it is pretty interesting."

"Anyway, back to the important part. I’ll leave arranging things with the Future Devil to you. Have it take a look and find out exactly when this King of Terror is supposed to descend."

Kotone said.

"Understood. I’ll send someone right away."

Yuki’s expression immediately became serious. She understood perfectly well that this was not something they could afford to take lightly.
