Shortly, two warriors came with a hot rod. The moment they stepped in, the three women immediately recoiled, murmuring mercy and pleading for their lives.
They were scared. They didn’t know what the Lycan king would do to them, but the sight of the hot rod was enough to make them tremble in fear.
"My King, have mercy, My King... have mercy..." Brigid knelt and hit her forehead against the concrete floor of the cell. She was terrified; she didn’t even know what else she could say to save her life. "Have mercy... have mercy..."
Eudora and Enid did something else.
"It was not me... it was Eudora... she was jealous of Seara; she wanted to get rid of her. The three warriors are her idea!" Enid screamed, as much as her hoarse voice could. She kept retreating to the back of the cell; if she could, she would be more than willing to merge with the wall to escape from the Lycan’s wrath.
"No... No... I didn’t." Eudora shook her head.
All of her arrogance had disappeared. In the first month, she still believed that her mate or her brother, who had become an alpha, would send someone to break her free. But after months... she didn’t think anyone would come to get her.
Especially when she had lost both of her hands, which wouldn’t grow back, and when that young shifter chopped her hands off, she wished she had died right away.
Unfortunately, the Lycan king didn’t make it easy for them, just as he had promised.
"No... I was not the only one. She was the one who suggested using three men!"
Eudora pointed at Enid, telling Zade that Enid wanted to send five men instead, but they could only afford to pay three.
While Brigid was begging for mercy, Eudora and Enid blamed each other for the specific thing they had done to Seara. They revealed more and more heinous actions they had taken against her.
Zade initially intended to come here to instill some fear, but apparently, they wanted more.
Without saying a word, Zade approached Eudora first. She was shaking like a leaf and babbling about forgiveness, offering herself to Zade. She must be so desperate, and the fear that was engulfing her was overwhelming, to the point that she forgot she was no longer the beauty of the pack whom every man would want.
Eudora had nothing else to offer Zade that would entice him. Even her life was not attractive enough.
Slowly, Zade raised the hot rod.

"Oh, it’s you..." Zephyr stretched out his body when he saw Zade enter the house. "Can I go back now?" He chose to sleep on the sofa, but he would wake up at the slightest movement. Even in his sleep, he didn’t let his guard down, just in case something happened to Seara or she did something harmful.
Zade would be furious and have his head if his mate had as much as a scratch.
"She is fine, sleeping like a baby deer and didn’t wake up the entire night. I check on her once every two hours." Zephyr raised both of his thumbs and smiled proudly. "Can I go now? I want to continue my sleep."
"No. I want you to go to the Blackthorne Pack." Zade went to the kitchen and made a glass of coffee for himself, while Zephyr followed him with a wronged expression.
"Is this punishment? You can see for yourself; she is fine, as beautiful as ever, still one piece and nice. Why did I get the punishment for it?"
Zade ignored Zephyr’s dramatic statement and handed him a glass of coffee so he could wake up.
"What? Did you put something in it?" He became a little bit paranoid, but Zade didn’t confirm whether he put something in it or not, as he continued giving orders to him.
"I want you to get Daven here," Zade said.
"Daven? The former alpha of the Blackthorne Pack? Why?" Zephyr thought Zade had let go of that man after he lost his title and he was now a cripple, but he changed his mind. "I don’t think it will be doable; they will not hand him over easily, even though he had lost his title, but..."
"Kidnap him if you can’t get him." Zade drank his coffee and saw that Maisie and Caylin entered the house through the front door. They didn’t dare go to the kitchen right away when they saw the king and his royal gamma were having a serious conversation there.
"Zade, since when are we resorting to violence?" Zephyr raised both of his arms.
"It is not violence if he can’t fight back." Zade walked toward his bedroom so the two omegas could prepare breakfast for his mate. "Or do you want to say that you can’t handle a crippled man?"
"But..." Zephyr wanted to argue. Kidnapping someone was not his expertise.
Zade opened the door to his bedroom. "I want him by tomorrow." And then he closed the door before Zephyr could retort.
Inside the room, Seara was still sleeping in the same position. It must be because she was used to sleeping in a small space; thus, whenever she fell asleep, she wouldn’t move from the initial position.
Today, Zade had promised her that he would take her to the main building, and later tonight, they would have dinner with Ace and his family.
Unfortunately, with the new order, Zephyr wouldn’t join in. Zade changed his mind, and he thought Daven had it easy. He couldn’t kill him or the three women in the dungeon, but at least they wouldn’t leave peacefully.
As if sensing Zade’s presence, Seara woke up. She was a little bit startled when she saw that Zade was there, and he immediately retracted his hand that was playing with her hair absentmindedly.
"Good morning, Love." Zade was as gentle as usual, but there was a restraint in the way he interacted with her.
