Chapter 72: Chapter 72 Black Lotus Club
All three of them entered the club. They were immediately greeted by loud music and colorful lights. The club had two floors. Strip dancers were performing on poles on ground floor while many men cheered them on.
At the bar, countless people were drinking. In the middle of the club, men and women danced together, many of them clearly under the influence. On the other side, groups of men sat on couches, chatting with the female staff while drinking.
"We will split up. If you find anything, let the others know," Lars said.
Ryuken and Max nodded before heading in different directions.
Lars walked through the dancing crowd, his eyes constantly scanning the area for Celine or anyone he recognized from the group that had kidnapped her.
Ryuken searched around the bar. Lars had already given him a rough description of Celine. His appearance naturally attracted attention from some of the people nearby, but he ignored them and continued searching.
Meanwhile, Max headed toward the second floor, where most of the tables were arranged for customers to drink. He searched everywhere, even looking down at the crowd below from the railing.
Then, Max noticed two guards standing in front of a door.A sign on the door read "VIP ONLY".
’Could Celine be inside that room?’ Max wondered. However, since the door was guarded, he didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention.
"Hello, cutie. Want to have a drink with me?" a woman suddenly approached Max. Max politely refused before walking away.
Later, all three of them gathered near the bar to discuss what they had found.
"I didn’t find anything that matched the description you gave me," Ryuken said.
"Me neither. But there is a guarded door upstairs. That’s the only place we haven’t checked yet," Max said.
"Then let’s go there." Lars nodded. "But before that, let’s hide ourselves."
They went to a more secluded area before Lars changed his class to Clandestine Magi. He then activated Absolute Vanish on himself, Max, and Ryuken.
"I-I became invisible! I can’t believe it!" Ryuken said excitedly.
"Shhh! Keep your voice down!" Lars whispered.
They quickly walked toward the VIP door. Suddenly, two women approached the door while carrying drinks.
"Let’s follow them!" Lars whispered.
"Hey! Where are you? I can’t see you!" Ryuken whispered back.
"I’m right in front of you."
At the same time, the guards opened the door for the two women. Lars and the others quickly slipped inside.
BAM!
Suddenly, a loud sound heard before the door slammed shut. The guards were alerted by the sound and immediately looked around.
However, they couldn’t see anything. After a few moments, they returned to their posts and continued standing guard.
"Ouch! My head!" Ryuken said as he rubbed his head after getting hit by the door while entering.
They then continued searching the area. There were multiple doors, each leading to a private room. They peeked inside each room and saw various activities taking place. Some people were taking drugs, while others were engaged in intimate activities.
However, after checking every room, they still couldn’t find Celine. Now only one room remained.
"This is the last one," Lars said.
They carefully peeked inside. There was only one man inside, accompanied by three women.
"Celine isn’t here. Where did they take her?" Max asked in frustration. It seemed that Celine wasn’t here either.
However, Lars was staring at the man inside, trying to recall where he had seen him before.
"That man...he’s the one with the axe!" Lars finally remembered. It was Thom, the man who had kidnapped Celine earlier. They slowly entered the private room and locked the door behind them.
"Hm?" Thom thought he heard something near the door. But he quickly ignored it as three women hugged him.
"Ahhh...is this what they call heaven?" he said with a wide grin.
"Let me send you to heaven if that’s what you want!"
BAM!
Suddenly, a fist slammed into his face, sending him crashing to the floor.
"What?! Who punched me?" Thom shouted as he looked around at the three women, who were equally confused.
BAM!
Another fist slammed into his face, sending him tumbling into the wall.
"Hey! Who’s there?! Show yourself!"
Thom immediately stood up and equipped his axe. Only then did he realize that there were other people inside the room with them.
The effect of Absolute Vanish finally wore off, and all three of them were revealed.
"How, how did you get here?" Thom asked in shock as he saw Lars.
"You’re not the one who gets to ask questions. I’m the one asking the questions. Now tell me, where is Celine?" Lars said as he brought out his spear and slowly walked toward Thom.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Suddenly, an alarm sounded. They all turned toward the side of the room and saw one of the women pressing an emergency button on the wall. The three women immediately ran out through the door.
"Damn woman!" Ryuken shouted.
"You three are idiots! You’re in the middle of the Black Maria’s nest! They will all be here soon. You’re trapped!" Thom laughed.
Suddenly, the door was barged open. Two large bodyguards, the same ones they had seen earlier, stormed into the room. Each of them had numerous tattoos and scars covering their bodies. Ryuken and Max immediately moved to intercept them.
Meanwhile, Lars swung his spear toward Thom.
Ping!
Clang!
Their weapons clashed as Thom blocked the attack with his axe. A fierce battle immediately erupted between them.
However, Lars had the advantage. He fought aggressively, refusing to give Thom any chance to counterattack. Impulse Lancer was the class he had chosen for this fight because it was currently the fastest class in his collection.
"Piercing Thrust!"
Lars thrust his spear forward with tremendous force.
BOOM!
The attack sent Thom flying backward. He crashed through the wall and was thrown into the adjacent room.
A half-naked couple inside the room were startled when Thom suddenly crashed through the wall.
"Grrr!" Thom groaned in pain as he slowly got back on his feet. He glanced at the couple before shouting.
"The alarm has already been triggered, and you two are still at it?!" He then quickly ran toward the door.
"Stop!" Lars shouted as he immediately chased after him.
At the ground floor of the club, nearly a hundred members of the Black Maria were already waiting with weapons in their hands.
