Chapter 73: Chapter 73 One-Sided Battle
Thom quickly ran through the VIP hallway toward the exit. A few Black Maria members arrived through the door and rushed past him. But less than ten seconds later, those same members were sent flying past Thom before crashing to the ground unconscious.
"Tch! Useless people."
Thom turned around and saw Lars chasing after him. He slammed his axe into the ground and activated his skill.
"Earth Wall!"
A massive earthen wall suddenly rose from the ground, fully blocking the hallway. Then another appeared before another. Thom created three layers of earth walls in quick succession.
"Let’s see if you can get past this!" Thom smirked before turning around and running toward the exit.
On the other side of the walls, Lars used skills such as Impulse Swing and Piercing Thrust, but they were useless.
"This wall is tougher than it looks," Lars muttered.
Behind Lars, Max and Ryuken were fighting the guards. The guards were strong, but their movements were slow. Ryuken dodged one of their attacks before jumping into the air and kicking one of the guards in the head.
BAM!
Meanwhile, Max activated Heaven Step, allowing him to float into the air before swinging his sword and sending the other guard flying.
BAM!!
Both guards crashed into each other in midair before collapsing onto the floor.
"Nice one, Max!" Ryuken said while giving him a thumbs-up.
They then met up with Lars, who was still struggling to break through the walls.
"Where’s that guy?" Max asked.
"He’s on the other side of these annoying walls. I can’t break through them," Lars said.
Max tried attacking the wall as well, but just like Lars, his attacks barely had any effect.
"Step back. Let me handle this."
Ryuken cracked his knuckles before swinging his arm in a circular motion. He then pulled his fist back and unleashed a powerful punch.
BOOM!!
CRACK!
A crack appeared across the wall. Ryuken attacked again.
BOOM!!
This time, the crack widened before the entire wall shattered as all three layers collapsed at once.
"He is really strong! What Class does he have?" Max asked in amazement.
"You wouldn’t believe me if I told you," Lars said.
The three of them then rushed toward the exit. As soon as they exit the VIP area, their eyes immediately widened in shock. Countless Black Maria members were on the ground floor below.
Each of them wore a sinister grin and various weapons could be seen in their hands. All the other customers and workers had already fled the club.
Lars and the others looked over the railing and down toward the ground floor. Thom was standing on top of the bar table, shouting at them.
"You think you can escape from here alive?I will make sure you regret your decision to come here! This place will become your grave! Attack them!"
"RAAAAA!"
The Black Maria members roared as they charged toward the stairs and rushed toward Lars and the others. There were two staircases leading to the second floor, and both were now filled with enemies.
"What is your plan, Lars?" Max asked.
"We fight!" Lars decided.
Even if they managed to escape, these members would surely hunt them down later. It was better to reduce their numbers now while they had the chance.
"Now this is what I’m talking about!" Ryuken said excitedly. He tightened the headband around his head and cracked his neck.
Ryuken then moved toward the right side. A group of five enemies immediately surrounded him and attacked at the same time.
"Double Lariat!"
THUMP!!
Ryuken swung both arms outward, striking two enemies on each side and knocking them down. Another enemy tried to attack him from behind but Ryuken quickly turned and delivered a powerful kick.
BAM!
The man was sent flying over the railing, crashing onto a table on the ground floor below.
Meanwhile, Max quickly jumped over the railing. Before he landed, he activated his skill.
"Skyline Rush!"
His body propelled forward as he swung both swords in front of him.
"ARGGHH!"
"ARRGHH!"
With a single sweeping attack, dozens of enemies were sent flying into the air and scattered in all directions. He then activated Heaven Step and continued his assault.
Because he was fighting from the air, most of the hunters couldn’t reach him. Instead, the enemies were the ones running from him now.
On the left side, Lars was using Tempest Duelist for the first time. Lightning coursed through his attacks thanks to the passive effect of Storm Edge, which had a small chance to release a lightning arc whenever he attacked.

The unfortunate enemies were electrocuted and slashed at the same time. More enemies continued rushing toward him. Lars lowered his body.
"Voltage Strike!"
Then he dashed forward in a zigzag pattern with his entire body covered in lightning.

Dozens of enemies were electrocuted as he tore through their formation.
"This class is actually amazing! Looks like this will become one of my go-to classes later," Lars grinned.
Thom, who had been watching the battle, began to grow anxious. The number of Black Maria members inside the club was rapidly dwindling, with many of them lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Damn it! How did this happen?!" He quickly pulled out his phone and tried to make a call.
Swoosh!
However, an arrow flew through the air and struck his phone, shattering it against the floor.
"My new phone!" Thom shouted. He looked up and saw Lars crouching on the railing with a bow in his hand. He was currently equipping Gale Bowmaster class.
"There’s no way I am letting you make another call," Lars said.
"Grrr!"
Thom clenched his teeth in anger before turning around and running toward the main entrance. Suddenly, he stumbled upon three people who had just arrived.
"You guys are late! Half of our people have already been beaten. Go and kill them!" Thom shouted. He then continued running out of the club.
Lars was about to chase after him by jumping over the railing, but suddenly a flash of red shot toward him.
BAM!
A powerful kick struck Lars and sent him flying back onto the second floor. Lars quickly regained his balance and looked forward. A muscular woman stood there, raising one leg in a Muay Thai stance with red aura covered her body. Then, the aura suddenly erupted behind her, taking the shape of a roaring tiger.
"Mai is here! You bastards are already dead!" one of the Black Maria members shouted.
Max, who was still in the air, suddenly saw someone flying toward him. Before he could react, the newcomer grabbed him and hurled him toward the bar area.
BAM!!
"Urghh!" Max groaned in pain.
A dark-skinned man landed on the bar counter and crouched down while staring at Max with a grin. A yellow aura surrounded his body, forming the shape of wings on his back. The aura then erupted outward, taking the form of a massive eagle.
Meanwhile, Ryuken was facing another large man on the second floor. A green aura covered his body before bursting outward and taking the shape of a gigantic bison.
