Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Lars Vs Mai
Lars gripped his sword tightly as Mai charged toward him. He raised it just in time to block her attack. Mai leaped into the air and her front paws crashing against Lars’s sword.
"Urrgh!"
Lars clenched his teeth. He was losing the battle of strength as Mai continued pushing him backward.
CRACK!!
Suddenly, Mai bit down on his Rude Steel Sword. The blade cracked under the force of her jaws.
"What?! Are you kidding me?! How strong are her teeth right now?!" Lars couldn’t believe his eyes.
CRACK!!
The crack rapidly spread across the blade. Lars immediately kicked Mai in the abdomen, forcing her backward, then quickly created some distance between them.
He looked down at his sword. It was now completely damaged and practically useless.
"Looks like I need to start focusing on creating a better weapon with my Master Blacksmith class later."
He then brought out his spear. Since he had used Impulse Lancer less than thirty minutes ago, he couldn’t use that Class again yet. He decided to use his strongest Class instead.
"Change to Lunar Sword Saint!"
A wave of wind enveloped his body, causing his hair to flutter wildly. Lars then smiled as he looked at Mai.
"You’re lucky to be the first opponent to taste the power of this Class."
Mai remained focused on Lars. She had no idea that the Class he had just equipped was far beyond anything she had ever faced before.
The Lunar Sword Saint reached its greatest potential when wielding a sword. However, Lars could still use its skills while wielding a spear, although with certain limitations.
Furthermore, because of the restriction imposed by his passive skill, Beyond the Limit of Class, the true power of Lunar Sword Saint was reduced by 24%.
But in the current situation, that was already more than enough for Lars. After all, he believed that this Rare-rank Class was already comparable to a Unique-rank Class.
Lars swung his spear behind him before charging toward Mai. At the same time, Mai charged toward him.

Lars raised his spear again. He intended to end the battle as quickly as possible. He charged toward Mai and unleashed basic attacks and skills.
Mai managed to evade some of them, but more and more attacks began to land. Her wounds were slowing her movements, making it increasingly difficult for her to keep up with Lars.
What made things even worse was the Moon Rhythm mechanic. With every successful attack, Lars continued accumulating Moon Rhythm stacks.
Each stack increased his Attack Speed and Critical Hit Rate, allowing his attacks to become faster and more dangerous as the battle continued.
After a long battle, Mai could feel it. She was going to lose. This would be only the second defeat of her entire hunter career. The first had been against Kay Sung, the White Feathers, the man who had completely humiliated her.
Since then, she had sworn to become stronger and defeat him someday. And now, she was about to suffer another defeat.
’Who is this guy?! How can he equip so many different weapons and have so many skills?!’
Mai struggled to keep up with Lars’s attacks as she blocked one strike after another. From the beginning until now, she had been observing his fighting style.
But she couldn’t figure him out. His fighting style was completely chaotic. He could attack from long range, suddenly switch to a highly mobile fighting style, and then unleash devastating skill combinations like the one he had just used. She couldn’t even determine what kind of Class Lars was actually using.

Lars smirked as he watched her struggle to escape.
"No one can escape this place once they’re inside. Now, feel the wrath of the light. Moonlight Sonata!"
The bright light beneath their feet suddenly intensified before converging toward Mai.
SHING! SHING! SHING!
Then countless luminous swords erupted from the ground, striking Mai repeatedly.
"ARRRGHHH!"
Mai screamed in pain. The attack lasted for nearly a minute. Eventually, her screams faded and her body collapsed onto the ground.
The transformation began to disappear, and her Beast form slowly reverted back to normal.
"I did it..." Lars dropped onto one knee.
His mana and stamina were nearly depleted after using so many consecutive skills. On top of that, he had been moving nonstop since sustaining his injury, and the exhaustion was finally beginning to take its toll.
"I hope the others are alright," Lars muttered. He then leaned back against a nearby pillar, trying to catch his breath.
On the other side of the second floor, Ryuken was grinning as he faced Georgios. His knuckles were bleeding from the battle.
"Is that all you can do? I can’t feel anything. Come on! Hit me!" Georgios taunted as he thumped his chest.
"Looks like this is going to be a tough battle." Ryuken smiled.
