Chapter 458: Ten Minutes of Power IV

Yet somehow Sekhmet knew it.

Dickoff’s confidence shook. Only slightly.

But Sofia and Natasha both noticed it.

He had been using the borrowed power as though it made him untouchable. Now every passing second had become visible inside his mind. Six minutes. Thirty seconds. Twenty-nine. Twenty-eight.

He could no longer enjoy the strength. He had to use it. He could not waste another moment trying to frighten Sekhmet or prove how much stronger he had become. The chaos stones around the hall were already gone. Every open case now held only gray powder and cracked remains. The storage rings on the broken table had become empty pieces of metal. The entire remaining wealth of Iron House had been consumed.

There was no more fuel.

There was no second chance.

This was the highest point the artifact would take him.

If he failed before the time ended, nothing remained.

Dickoff’s breathing became rougher.

"No," he said. "You will not survive that long."

Black energy spread from his body with enough pressure to crack the remaining floor around him. The damaged walls groaned. Loose pieces of stone fell from the ceiling, and the hole he had already created in the inner wall widened as several more bricks broke away.

Sekhmet did not step back.

The control ring continued shining.

The last seal around Sofia and Natasha began breaking.

It did not open gently.

The power inside the two women had been compressed and restrained for too long. The moment the final layer weakened, their true chaos energy pushed against it from within.

Crack!

A sharp sound came from the control ring.

Red light exploded around Sofia first.

Her hair rose behind her as if caught in a storm that existed only around her body. The air near her became heavy and cold. Blood-red chaos energy spread from beneath her feet, covering the floor in thin moving patterns that looked like veins growing through stone.

Natasha’s power followed a heartbeat later.

Her chaos energy erupted with a deeper and more violent pressure. Dark crimson energy wrapped around her body and rose toward the broken ceiling. The walls shook again, but this time Dickoff’s borrowed power was not the cause.

Outside the central hall, Vera and Vela both felt it.

They stood near the side entrance with their swords drawn. The sudden pressure passed through the thick door and forced their clothes and hair backward. Both twins understood immediately that Sofia and Natasha had regained far more than the Chaos Rank Five strength they had used in the underground market.

On the opposite side of the hall, Mira placed one arm in front of Lily as the floor beneath them trembled.

Lily’s red eyes narrowed. "That is them?"

"Yes," Mira answered. "That is their real strength."

Outside the mansion, Raka and the lesser vampires felt the two huge chaos energy rise from the centre of Iron House. Several of the weaker vampires lowered their bodies instinctively. The pressure was distant and blocked by walls, yet their blood still reacted to the presence of two ancient superior vampires.

Inside the hall, the System displayed the information before Sekhmet.

[Name: Sofia

Race: True Vampire

Status: Half-God

Seal Status: Released

Overall Battle Power: 96,700

Chaos Body: Half-God Level]

Another notification.

[Name: Natasha

Race: True Vampire

Status: Half-God

Seal Status: Released

Overall Battle Power: 98,900

Chaos Body: Half-God Level]

Both women remained below one hundred thousand battle power.

Dickoff still had far more chaos energy than either of them.

His temporary overall battle power had risen beyond one hundred fifty thousand. The difference between the numbers was large enough that a direct contest of energy would still favour him.

But battle power did not explain everything.

Sofia and Natasha were true Half-Gods.

Their bodies had crossed the boundary between mortal and divine long ago. Their bones, organs, blood, senses, and regeneration had all been raised to Half-God level through real advancement. Their strength belonged to them. Even after remaining sealed for so long, their bodies had not become mortal.

Dickoff was different. He had Half-God power inside a mortal body.

The black seed was forcing his flesh to endure energy it had never earned. The stone-like layers growing across his body protected him, but they did not truly transform every part of him into a Half-God. His chaos energy was stronger than Sofia’s or Natasha’s, but his foundation remained weaker.

That meant they did not need to defeat him. They only needed to avoid taking his strongest attacks directly.

They needed to protect Sekhmet.

They needed to survive until the borrowed chaos energy disappeared.

Sofia slowly opened her eyes.

Their original dark red colour had changed. They now glowed like deep pools of blood under moonlight. Her fangs became slightly longer, and the small wounds left from the previous battles disappeared from her skin without leaving marks.

Natasha stretched her fingers. Her claws extended. The pressure around her became so heavy that the broken pieces of stone near her boots slowly sank deeper into the damaged floor.

For the first time since leaving the auction of that day, both women possessed their true strength again.

They could feel every part of it.

Their speed. Their regeneration. Their blood control. Their Half-God bodies.

There was no seal forcing them to stay at Chaos Rank Five.

There was no invisible restraint crushing their power back down.

Sekhmet had released everything.

Sofia turned her head slightly toward Natasha.

Natasha met her eyes.

They did not need to speak.

They both understood what this moment represented.

Sekhmet had willingly placed their full Half-God power back into their hands while he stood injured behind them. He was testing exactly what they had promised. They could turn against him. They could use the confusion to escape. They could ignore Dickoff and enter the Void Land gate before it closed.

Instead, both women stepped forward.

They placed themselves between Sekhmet and Dickoff. Sofia stood on the left. Natasha stood on the right.

Dickoff watched their transformation with growing anger. The pressure from their bodies was completely different from what he had felt in the underground market. Back then, they had been powerful Rank Five vampires. Now they stood with the stable presence of beings who had crossed beyond ordinary ranks.

He activated his own chaos energy senses and tried to measure them. The result made him hesitate.

Half-Gods... Both of them...

"How?" he asked.

Natasha rolled one shoulder as the last stiffness from the seal disappeared.

Sofia looked at Dickoff without answering.

He glanced toward Sekhmet.

"You had two Half-Gods hidden inside that place?"

Sekhmet looked at the countdown.

[External Energy Remaining: 06:19]

"You have less time every time you speak."

Dickoff’s fear turned into rage. He could not allow them to delay him.

Even if they were Half-Gods, their battle power was lower than his. The artifact had raised him above both women. He only needed to break through before his time ended.

He bent his knees.

The black armor-like substance across his right arm thickened. Chaos energy gathered around his fist until the space near it began twisting. The floor under his boots collapsed several inches, and cracks raced outward toward the walls.

Sofia lowered her body slightly.

Natasha stepped half a pace ahead of her.

Sekhmet remained behind them while his wounds continued healing.

Dickoff disappeared.

The floor exploded where he had been standing.

His body crossed the hall with a speed far beyond anything he had shown earlier. Black chaos energy tore through the air behind him, breaking pieces from the nearby pillars before his fist even reached its target.

He did not aim for Sofia. He did not aim for Natasha. Instead he aimed directly at Sekhmet. If Sekhmet died his goal will be achieved.

Dickoff believed the women would try to dodge. Their battle power was lower. No one with weaker energy should have dared receive that strike directly.

Natasha moved.

She appeared in front of Sekhmet before Dickoff’s fist reached him.

Her feet struck the floor and broke the stone beneath them. She raised one hand, opened her fingers, and caught Dickoff’s black-covered fist in her palm.

The collision sounded like two pieces of metal smashing together.

A violent wave burst from the point where their hands met. The remaining windows shattered. Cracks raced across the floor beneath Natasha’s feet, and the stone sank several inches under the pressure. Her arm bent slightly, but it did not break. Her shoulder remained in place. Her Half-God body absorbed the force that would have torn an ordinary mortal apart.

Dickoff’s eyes widened.

He pushed harder.

Black energy poured down his arm and exploded around Natasha’s hand, but her fingers remained locked around his fist.

"You should not be able to stop me," he said.

Natasha’s lips curved faintly. "You have Half-God energy."

Her claws slowly pressed into the black layer covering his knuckles.

"But you do not have a Half-God body."

Sofia appeared beside Dickoff before he could pull back. She struck his ribs with an open palm. The impact sent him sliding across the broken hall, his boots cutting two deep lines through the stone before he stopped near a damaged pillar.

Natasha lowered her hand and flexed her fingers once. A small cut had appeared across her palm, but it was already closing.

Sekhmet looked at the countdown again.

[External Energy Remaining: 06:11]

Dickoff had lost another eight seconds.

Sofia stepped beside Natasha and kept her eyes on him.

"He is stronger than either of us," she said.

Natasha nodded. "Then we will not fight him one at a time."
