Deviant Kings: Claimed by The Four Lycan Kings
Chapter 61: Brain InstinctsAuthor’s pov~
"Are you both genuinely this fucking blind, or are you two so thoroughly wrapped around her manicured little finger that your goddamn brains have completely rotted away into absolute mush?"
"Do you actually believe that barking and roaring at me like rabid, pathetic dogs is going to make me bow down to your worthless commands? Let me make one thing crystal fucking clear to both of you—I am never going to apologize to a damn soul in this room. Especially not to a pathetic, manipulative, fake-ass snake like her."
Chloe took a timid, delicate step forward, her lower lip trembling as she looked up with wide, sorrowful eyes, playing the fragile victim to absolute perfection.
"It’s... it’s okay, Logan," Chloe murmured softly, her voice pitched so sweetly it made Sierra gag in the back row. "It’s fine, really. I shouldn’t have said anything. After all... Adeline and I used to be like sisters—"
"Shut the fuck up, Chloe," Adeline cut her off sharply, her voice slicing through the delicate act like a rusted butcher’s cleaver.
Chloe flinched hard, her rehearsed words dying instantly in her throat as her eyes widened in shock.
Clearly Chloe have not seen this isde of Adeline before. She was taken aback completely as well.
"Stop this pathetic, sickening act," Adeline continued, stepping right up into Chloe’s personal space, her expression so dark and void of emotion that it sent a violent chill straight down the highborn girl’s spine.
"Do you have any idea how exhausting it is to watch you pull this fake, innocent victim routine for the hundredth time? Every single time you open your mouth, tilt your head, and squeeze out those fake little tears, do you know what I think? All I want to do is slap the absolute, bloody shit out of you."
A collective, terrified gasp echoed through the surrounding highborn nobles.
Lucas and Logan’s faces contorted into pure, murderous fury.
Together, the twin Alphas unleashed the full, suffocating weight of their combined Alpha pressure, sending an invisible wave of violent force crashing across the aisle.
Adeline didn’t even sway.
How could she possibly...?
She stood frozen in the center of their raging storm, completely unbothered, her posture straight, her hands resting comfortably in her hoodie pockets as if their crushing power was nothing more than a faint breeze against her skin.
Without giving them another second of her time, Adeline turned on her heel to walk away.
Before she could take a single step, Logan’s hand shot out, his heavy, thick fingers clamping around her right wrist in a grip of iron, violently yanking her to a complete standstill.
Adeline stilled instantly.
Her head turned slowly, her sharp, deadly gaze traveling down from his furious face, over his tense arm, and stopping directly on his thick fingers digging into her wrist.
"Let go," Adeline said, her voice chillingly quiet, devoid of fear, devoid of hesitation.
"No," Logan growled, his jaw set, his fingers tightening even further until her skin paled under the heavy pressure.
"Not until you bow your head, drop to your knees, and apologize to her."
Adeline’s dark eyes lifted, meeting his in a lethal, unblinking glare.
"Are you really this stupid, Logan? Do you honestly think putting your hands on me is going to change anything?"
At the front of the central aisle, the heavy silence cracked.
Lord Raven took a sudden, deliberate step forward, his tall, imposing figure gliding down the rows toward them with a quiet, terrifying grace.
The highborn nobles near the front instantly scrambled backward out of his way, parting like leaves before an impending storm.
The twin Alphas were so blinded by their own ego and rage that they didn’t even notice the dark, suffocating aura of the Second Throne closing in on their backs.
Adeline caught Raven’s movement out of the corner of her eye. The last thing she needed right now was a Lycan Lord interfering in her personal mess.
"I wasn’t asking you a question," Adeline whispered, her voice cutting through Logan’s rage with terrifying, sharp precision.
"I am strongly advising you to take your fucking hands off me right now."
"No!" Logan snarled back, leaning his face down into hers, his eyes flashing with aggressive Alpha authority. "I said, you will apologize—"
His words were cut short by a sudden, strangled curse tearing straight from his own throat.
"Fuck—!"
In one fluid, blindingly fast motion, Adeline jerked her right hand forward, which logan was gripping.
A sleek, razor-sharp silver blade slid out from the hidden inner lining of her hoodie sleeve, popping directly into her palm.
Without taking her eyes off Logan’s face for even a fraction of a second, she caught the hilt between her thumb and index finger, spun the blade with practiced lethality, and dragged the sharp, silver tip violently across his wrist.
Did she care which nerve she hit? Did she care how deep the blade sank into his flesh? Did she care that she was spilling Alpha blood right in front of the entire academy?
Not even a little bit.
The silver slice opened his skin, on his right wrist.
Pain, sharp, burning, and absolute, exploded through Logan’s wrist as his body instinctively recoiled from the agonizing touch of pure silver.
His fingers snapped open in pure agony, completely releasing her wrist as hot, thick blood spurted over his hand, dripping heavily onto the pristine marble floor.
Adeline casually flicked her wrist, sending a single droplet of his blood flying off the silver edge, before letting the blade slide effortlessly back into the dark shadow of her sleeve.
Logan hissed loudly through his gritted teeth, clutching his bleeding right wrist as he stumbled a half-step backward, his eyes wide with sheer, disbelieving horror. The pure silver slice burned through his flesh like liquid fire, preventing his natural Alpha healing from closing the wound instantly.
"Fuck, Adeline!" Logan roared, his voice trembling with a chaotic mixture of intense pain and absolute shock.
"Adeline, what the hell are you—" Chloe shrieked, her sweet, fragile act is back.
"I told you, didn’t I?" Adeline said, her voice dropping into a smooth, deadly lull.
"I gave you a clear, simple piece of advice. You should have listened to me, Logan. But since you chose to ignore them, I decided not to listen to my soft heart either. I let my brain’s instincts take over instead."
