Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 563: Maybe This Isn’t the Most Perfect Ending (2)Chapter 563: Chapter 563: Maybe This Isn’t the Most Perfect Ending (2)
Ian Shaw awkwardly rubbed his nose. With a grin, he yelled, "Hey, sis! Your husband is here for you! Hurry and open up!"
"Yeah, sis! Open up!" Cassian Jennings chimed in.
"You can come in, but only after you say something sweet," a young woman’s voice called from inside. It was clear from her voice that she wasn’t anyone the men knew.
The moment the girl inside spoke, the men outside all frowned.
These were some of Tiana’s good friends from school. Of course, there was also the one Mika Summers had brought along: Jessica Archer.
Jessica Archer, who was usually only ever seen in black business attire, had uncharacteristically changed into a peach-pink gown. You couldn’t imagine Mika Summers’s gloating laughter when she saw Jessica in such an awkward outfit.
"Come on, say it! If you don’t say something sweet, we’re not opening the door!" When the young women heard no response from outside, they started heckling again.
"Your turn." Outside the door, Tristan Grayson was blunt, giving Ian Shaw a kick and tossing out those two words.
"Holy shit! Tristan Grayson, you’re the one getting married today, not me!"
Tristan Grayson crossed his arms and said with an infuriatingly smug look, "Sweet talk is something I save for my wife, in private. I’m not about to say it in front of a bunch of idiots like you."
"Holy shit! What the hell... Cassian Jennings, what do you say? Should we team up, beat the crap out of him, and ruin his wedding?"
Hearing this, Cassian Jennings stroked his chin thoughtfully. "That makes sense. I think that plan could work." At that, Cassian suddenly bellowed, "Hey! Listen up in there! The groom says there will be absolutely no sweet talk! Open the door if you want, and if not, forget it! We’re leaving!"
Unsurprisingly, the moment Cassian Jennings finished speaking, a foot lashed out and kicked him. "Cassian Jennings, are you trying to get yourself killed?! Do you know how hard it is for me to finally get married?!" With that, Tristan Grayson frantically pounded on the door and explained, "Honey, don’t listen to a single word that bastard says! If you want to hear sweet things, just come out. I’ll tell you them, nice and slow. I’ll say as much as you want to hear. And if that’s not enough, we can continue tonight... in bed."
That mention of "in bed" instantly sent everyone, both inside and outside the room, into a roaring fit of laughter.
Mika Summers was easily embarrassed. Hearing Tristan Grayson’s words, she wished a hole would open up in the floor and swallow her whole.
Just then, Tiana walked up to her, grinning teasingly. "Sis, my brother says he’s saving all the sweet things you want to hear for tonight, to tell you slowly... in bed."
Mika Summers buried her face in her hands and whispered shyly, "Tiana, stop talking nonsense."
"All right, all right. It’s about time. Let them in," Jessica Archer urged impatiently, glancing at her watch.
’If it weren’t for President Summers and Mr. Kent, I never would have agreed to be a bridesmaid. This job is inhuman. And look at this dress... No sane woman would ever wear this.’
’It’s so revealing I can barely show my face...’
However, while Jessica Archer was internally complaining about her less-than-modest dress, the other young women were preening for all they were worth. They started adjusting their gowns and touching up their makeup, eagerly waiting to see the handsome groomsmen.
After all, they knew that practically half of Tridell’s most famous heartthrobs would be here today.
The door swung open. Tristan Grayson strode in first, and his eyes immediately found the woman sitting on the bed.
