That was his woman, the woman he loved. The moment he walked in, his eyes found her instantly. It was as if no one else existed in the room.
Here, she was the only one. Only she could capture his gaze.
He saw her flushed cheeks and the way her eyes were slowly turning red. He knew she was waiting for him to come to her.
He steadied himself, a slow smile gracing his lips as he began to walk toward her.
Every step felt incredibly long. It was a distance of no more than seven or eight steps, yet it felt as if he had been walking for a lifetime.
He took her small hand, knelt on one knee, and slipped the ring he had prepared from his pocket onto her finger. He lowered his head and pressed a kiss to the back of her hand, his voice gentle as he slowly began to speak. "Honey, I’m not good with pretty words, but I want to tell you that because of you, I’m so happy now. Honey, thank you so, so much. Thank you for everything. Thank you for not giving up on me. From now on, I’ll do everything in my power to make you happy every single day. I’ll love you, spoil you, and cherish you more with each passing day."
Tristan Grayson’s words made Mika Summers’s tears finally spill over, no longer possible to hold back. She reached out and hugged Tristan tightly. "Tristan, thank you... for everything."
"You silly girl, don’t cry. You’ll ruin your makeup. We’re getting married today, so you have to be the most beautiful," Tristan Grayson said, gently pushing her back, kissing the corner of her eye, then standing and scooping her directly into his arms before heading outside.
Seeing the bride and groom leave, the remaining bridesmaids and groomsmen naturally hurried to follow.
Everyone’s gaze was fixed on Tristan Grayson and Mika Summers, so no one noticed that Tiana hadn’t left. Instead, she stood frozen in place, staring dazedly at the man standing by the door.
Among all the men, her eyes immediately found Leo Joyce, dressed in a black suit with his hands in his pockets, casually trailing behind the crowd.
’That was her Leo. So impossibly cool and charming, it made her heart flutter. She was already starting to imagine what their wedding would be like. She thought that on that day, he would undoubtedly be the most handsome, most dazzling man in the entire room.’
Leo Joyce strode toward Tiana. Looking at the pink princess before him, ’he desperately wanted to pull her into a tight embrace, to kiss her fiercely and taste her sweetness.’ And what he thought, he did. He reached out, pulled his little princess into his arms, and leaned down to kiss her. This kiss was incredibly gentle, lacking its usual domineering force. It was so, so tender that within seconds, she was lost in it. She lifted her hands to wrap them around his waist, joining him in savoring the heart-pounding affection they shared.
He didn’t know how much time had passed before he slowly released her, only when both of their breathing had become ragged. He looked at her alluring red lips, now swollen from his kisses, and couldn’t help but let a smile touch his lips. He leaned down, placed another soft kiss on her lips, and whispered, "Tonight, I’m taking you back to our place. I’ll show you our new house. I know you’ll love it."
"Mm," Tiana nodded, her face blushing. But then, she suddenly remembered that everyone had probably gone far ahead and left them behind. Forgetting her shyness, she quickly began to push at Leo Joyce, complaining playfully, "Hurry, we need to go! We’re going to be late for the wedding!"
