Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me
Chapter 673 - 665: Silly GirlChapter 673: Chapter 665: Silly Girl
"I’m not crying. I won’t cry." Though tears were streaming down her face, Tiana stubbornly refused to admit it.
Quincy’s voice was hoarse with exasperation. "Then what do you want? Is there something you want to do, or something you want to tell me?"
By now, Tiana was exhausted from crying, and hungry too. She was suddenly overcome with a craving, a nostalgia for the meals Quincy used to cook. She looked up, her eyes red and swollen. "Quincy, it’s been so long since I’ve had your cooking. I’m hungry. I want to eat."
At her words, a vein throbbed in Quincy’s forehead, and his expression darkened.
’It’s not even dawn, and this little brat wants a meal? And she expects *me* to cook it? With this kind of time on my hands, I’d much rather be sleeping!!’
"You... you’re really trying to be the death of me." Despite his words, Quincy gently released Tiana, stood up, and headed for the kitchen.
Tiana sat cross-legged on the sofa, hugging a throw pillow as she waited for Quincy to cook for her.
A moment later, however, Quincy returned from the kitchen carrying an armful of snacks. "Have some of these to tide you over for now." He placed the snacks on the coffee table, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Tiana.
Tiana took the glass, had a sip, and looked at Quincy pitifully. "Quincy, you’re so good to me... but I don’t want snacks. I just want a meal that you’ve cooked yourself."
Quincy’s anger flared. "Tiana Grayson, are you sure you’re heartbroken? Or did you come here just to torture me?"
’He couldn’t help but wonder if she was doing this on purpose. Was she trying to get back at him in the middle of the night because he’d disapproved of her relationship with Leo Joyce?’
"Quincy, I’m just hungry, and I just want your cooking. I was abroad for five years, and the thing I missed most was your food. Can’t you even do this one thing for me?" As she spoke, Tiana’s eyes welled up with tears again.
It seemed the only way she could relieve the ache in her heart was by tormenting others or eating.
’Five years had passed. Five whole years. She knew she shouldn’t have any hope of getting back together, but what hurt the most was... why did Leo Joyce have to come and provoke her?’
’Why couldn’t he just leave her in peace? Why did he have to make her witness that scene?’
"Alright, alright, fine! You win, Your Majesty! Whatever you say." Quincy couldn’t bear to see Tiana cry, so he resigned himself to his fate and went to cook.
It wasn’t until nearly six in the morning that Quincy finally had the meal ready.
Even though it was just for him and Tiana, he had still prepared an entire table full of food for her to eat.
When he had everything ready, he washed his hands and walked into the living room, only to see the girl lying on the sofa. She had already fallen asleep, clutching a throw pillow. She must have been having a nightmare, as her brow remained tightly furrowed and she whimpered softly in her sleep.
Watching her, a fond smile touched Quincy’s lips. He went to his bedroom to grab a thin blanket and returned, carefully draping it over Tiana. He gently tucked a few stray strands of hair from her face. "Ah, you silly girl," he murmured. "Weren’t you hungry? You couldn’t even wait this long. Looks like we won’t be eating together today after all. You just get some rest and stop overthinking things. As for Leo Joyce... let’s just forget about him, okay?"
"Why...?" Tiana suddenly reached out and grabbed Quincy’s hand, her voice choked with sobs as she asked.
