Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 102 - 101: Opening with a Bombshell

"And what is the leader’s solution?"

Father Hu was obliging enough to pose the question right after Chu Liangyu indicated she had a plan.

"Since strength is the key to preventing male Beastmen from forcing their mates, then in three days, we will hold a small tournament. All females in this predicament who are willing to may participate."

"Furthermore, females will not be held responsible for any males they kill on the tournament grounds. After the competition ends, if this kind of situation persists in private, any female who kills a male will still not be held responsible."

Not holding them responsible was one thing, but could the female Beastmen really defeat males who could use Beastification for combat?

If they couldn’t win, what would happen if a female died? And what about the females who would face this situation in the future?

The intelligent people in the room immediately saw that this was merely a superficial gesture of favor toward the female Beastmen; absolutely no one believed the females would be the final victors.

Even though Cao had killed her five Beast Husbands, she had only done so using a scheme. After the initial surprise, no one took it to heart.

"Alright, that’s all for today. Everyone, you’re dismissed."

The meeting ended abruptly, and the hall fell quiet for a moment. Only after a good while did someone stand and walk out the door.

The Elders had almost all gone, leaving only a few people behind.

"Is something wrong? Do you have something else to say?" Chu Liangyu asked, prompted by Cao, who was standing still and watching her approach.

Cao pressed her lips together, her eyes filled with resentment. "You’re a female too! How can you not have an ounce of sympathy? You’re just sending us to our deaths!"

"So you also think it’s impossible for them to win?" Chu Liangyu didn’t get angry, her tone calm. "I’m sure you heard what the Elders were saying in the hall. This is your only chance to defend your rights. Whether you can win or not, you have to compete. Otherwise, your only choice is to suffer in silence."

"Or, let me ask you this: do you want the matter to end here and now? Or do you believe this is the outcome they would want to see?"

Cao’s face turned pale after that string of questions. "Of course not."

"I believe you can all succeed. I hope you will encourage them properly."

Not caring what Cao was thinking, Chu Liangyu turned and walked out of the main hall.

The main hall’s doors were smashed to pieces. The Elder she had sent flying had long since run off somewhere, ashamed. But she didn’t care. She had used violence in the hall precisely to establish her authority, and she had no time to deal with the fallout.

"Female Master, do you really think they have a chance of winning?"

Hu Qiumu couldn’t quite put a finger on the feeling, but his intuition told him Chu Liangyu was not a reckless person.

’Since she proposed this solution, she must have a way to guarantee their victory.’

"This isn’t something that will happen just because I think it will. It all depends on how they perform. If you really want to know, just watch the tournament. It’s no fun to reveal everything now."

Chu Liangyu didn’t explain it clearly, but hearing her tone, Hu Qiumu had an inkling of what she was planning.

So he also smiled and said, "That is true."

’Next, I need to deal with Feng Qingqing,’ she thought. ’I wonder if that girl will be easy to fool.’

However, hurried footsteps echoed from behind her, and it sounded like more than one person.

"Leader, wait a moment. This old man has something to say."

The voice sounded familiar to Chu Liangyu. She turned her head to see that Father Hu had caught up, followed by several of her Beast Husbands.

Chu Liangyu ignored the others and asked Father Hu, "What is it you need, Elder?"

Father Hu’s gaze flickered, moving to the fiery red fox in her arms. "If I’m not mistaken, that’s Mu’er, correct?"

"Leader, please allow this father and son to speak alone for a moment."

Chu Liangyu didn’t ask any further, simply nodding and setting Hu Qiumu down. "Of course. Since you and your father have things to discuss, I certainly won’t interfere."

"Hu Qiumu, remember to come back soon."

With outsiders present, she couldn’t tell him about that other matter directly, so she could only phrase it this way.

Hu Qiumu simply thought she was reluctant for him to leave and wanted him back early to keep her warm. "Okay, I’ll head back as soon as I finish talking with my Beast Father."

"I didn’t expect the Leader to be so concerned for you. This is good. While it’s not as good as our one-husband, one-wife system, being valued this much is still a fine thing."

This was one of the reasons he had accepted Hu Qiumu’s persuasion to let him join her. The other reason was Chu Liangyu’s status; following the future successor to the Beast God was, after all, a much better life than they had before.

"Mu’er, the moment you and the Leader came in, I noticed a change in you. What happened?"

Hu Qiumu’s power had become so great that even he felt an instinct to bow his head and submit. Furthermore, it was a suppression that stemmed from the bloodline. How could this not be astonishing? That was why he had chased after them.

’The only thing that could exert such pressure on them now... it had to be a pure Fox Clan bloodline.’

"It’s because of the Leader. She... she infused us with an energy that allows our bloodline to return to its ancestral state."

As for the specific details, Hu Qiumu naturally skipped over them.

"I see. In that case..."

Seeing his expression, Hu Qiumu immediately guessed his father’s thoughts and quickly stopped him. "This isn’t something that can be done easily. The Leader won’t necessarily agree unless a major contribution is made."

Agree to what? To helping the other members of the Fox Clan revert their bloodlines, of course.

Father Hu understood the implications and didn’t insist, though he sounded regretful. "You have a point. It seems the only way is for the clan’s younger generation to work hard and achieve something great. Perhaps then the Leader might be willing to act."

Hearing this, Hu Qiumu let out a huge sigh of relief. He had been afraid his Beast Father would brazenly go to the Female Master to demand this. If that were to happen, he would be caught in a very awkward position.

"Alright, didn’t the Leader tell you to head back early? I won’t delay you."

His questions answered, Father Hu waved a hand and left with his head held high.

Hu Qiumu was about to walk in the direction of Chu Liangyu’s room when several pairs of feet suddenly appeared before him. Whichever way he moved, the feet moved to block him, clearly intending to bar his path.

He stopped trying to leave and simply sat down on the ground, a look of calm indifference on his face. "Xiong Xianhui, Jinling, Feng Qiwu, and Yu He. I didn’t expect you four to be the first to lose your cool."

"So you *do* know what you did was out of line!" Xiong Xianhui, unable to hold his temper, shot back, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"I don’t think I did anything wrong. I like our Female Master and want to be closer to her. What’s the problem with that?" Lifting a fox paw, he elegantly smoothed down the fur. "You, on the other hand, know perfectly well how much you like her. You’re just angry that I get to be intimate with the Female Master, that I’m the one who gained an advantage."

"If you’re that desperate, there are plenty of single females in the tribe. Don’t worry, I’ll keep your secret; I won’t tell the Female Master."

The combined wits of the men standing before him were no match for Hu Qiumu’s alone. They knew his words were out of line, but they wanted to retort and, for a moment, couldn’t think of what to say.

"Bullshit! Who said we don’t like the Female Master?"

Beside them, Jinling was so furious he pointed a finger right at Hu Qiumu’s nose and began to curse.

Hu Qiumu gave him a lazy glance and immediately played his trump card. "I seem to recall a certain someone being utterly dismissive of the Female Master, even finding my attempts to curry her favor laughable and pathetic. He even tried to talk me out of it."

"What, did I remember incorrectly? That person wasn’t you, was it?"

Perhaps Jinling hadn’t been so obvious with his words back then, but the attitude he had shown was indeed just as Hu Qiumu described.
