Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 33 - 32: His Beast Form Is Ugly, So What?

It seemed Xiong Jiaojiao’s recent experience had been quite perilous. Chu Liangyu couldn’t help but feel a chill for her.

"From now on, don’t reveal your true form unless your life is on the line."

"Also, remember to practice the Taiyin Fist diligently."

After all, the Taiyin Fist would be their primary offensive technique from now on.

"I understand, Sister Liangyu."

"Mm. It also has an accompanying mental method. Once you’ve mastered the movements, I’ll teach it to you."

Xiong Jiaojiao actually quite liked this fist style. It was both elegant and powerful, and for that reason alone, she had never slacked off in her practice.

"Sister Liangyu, how about we go through a set right now?"

Her student was so eager to learn that Chu Liangyu was delighted and readily agreed.

"Then let’s begin."

The boundless sea stretched to the horizon, and the afterglow of the setting sun spilled across its surface, creating glittering points of gold.

The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the rocks seemed to be beating a drum for them.

One was fiery and exuberant; the other was calm and reserved.

Their beautiful faces, each with its own unique charm, were bathed in the golden light of the setting sun.

The two figures in their different shades of green looked like leaping Elves.

Every movement was as pleasing to the eye as it was filled with a power that couldn’t be underestimated.

Chu Liangyu tentatively tried incorporating the mental method. Almost immediately, an invisible aura of energy formed around her.

At the same time, the execution of each move felt slightly stiffer than before.

Only by continuing without pause did the stiffness gradually fade.

Xiong Jiaojiao subconsciously stopped, watching Chu Liangyu go through the motions one by one.

As her movements grew more fluid, Chu Liangyu’s furrowed brow slowly smoothed out.

Finally, Chu Liangyu completed the final move.

Excitement flashed in her eyes, and she couldn’t resist starting over, once again incorporating the mental method.

With each repetition, Chu Liangyu grew more proficient. Her rate of improvement was visibly rapid.

Xiong Jiaojiao watched in astonishment. ’Could this be the gap in our innate talent?’

She had already worked incredibly hard to master the fist style to her current level, yet they had only started learning a day or two apart.

She suddenly felt a pang of defeat. But then she thought, ’If Liangyu wasn’t so exceptional, I wouldn’t be following her in the first place.’

’Liangyu’s rapid progress is a good thing. I shouldn’t get bogged down in this.’

’If I want to catch up, I’ll just have to try even harder.’

Xiong Jiaojiao gradually calmed herself, cast aside her distracting thoughts, and resumed her practice of the Taiyin Fist.

Seeing this, the corners of Chu Liangyu’s mouth lifted in a smile. She was very satisfied with Xiong Jiaojiao’s reaction.

Chu Liangyu had noticed earlier when Xiong Jiaojiao had spaced out.

A thought had crossed her mind, and she had a good idea of what Xiong Jiaojiao was thinking.

She had been watching closely, intending to test Xiong Jiaojiao. Evidently, the result was a good one.

’Most females are sensitive by nature. Some, like Jiaojiao, channel it in a positive direction.’

’Others go the opposite way, and ultimately fall into an irredeemable abyss.’

From the water behind a reef, a pair of eyes hidden beneath thick fur stared unblinkingly at the light green figure.

He was so focused that when the struggling seal in his mouth slapped his face repeatedly, he didn’t feel a thing.

Coincidentally, this small island was his home; Chu Liangyu and her companion had stumbled upon it by chance.

’Beast God be praised, for letting me meet this kind female again.’

’Should I... go say hello?’

’But... she looks a little busy right now.’

Before they knew it, night had fallen. The wind picked up, whipping their hair about.

"The sky looks like it’s about to rain."

Chu Liangyu thought, ’Don’t tell me we’re really going to be stuck here for a few days.’

"Then we should hurry and find somewhere to take shelter."

"I saw a cave entrance earlier. Let’s go check it out."

Chu Liangyu had glimpsed it out of the corner of her eye while hunting. She hadn’t gone inside, so she didn’t know if it would offer shelter.

The two of them headed inland together, neither noticing the tail they had picked up.

His long, silver-white hair cascaded to his ankles. His narrow eyes held a hazy look, his nose was delicate and well-defined, and his lips were thin and sensual.

A loose-fitting white robe hung on his frame, revealing his abs. Unlike the powerful and wild musculature of others, his were lean yet powerful.

He wasn’t excessively tall, yet he still possessed an imposing presence. He wasn’t short, either—tall enough to easily envelop an average female.

Perhaps due to his personality, he also had a somewhat melancholic air about him.

Having just come ashore, he wasn’t completely dry yet, and water dripped from him. DRIP. DROP.

He paid it no mind, his eyes fixed on the light green figure as he followed closely behind.

"Sister Liangyu, this cave looks small from the outside, but it’s quite big inside! There are even several sleeping spots."

"And it looks pretty clean, too."

A light rain had begun to pitter-patter outside, so Chu Liangyu had no time to wonder about the cave’s owner.

She followed Jiaojiao into the cave, brushed the rainwater from her clothes, and then took a moment to survey the place.

Just as Xiong Jiaojiao had said, the place was very clean. The location was also excellent—it was sheltered from the wind, and no rain blew inside.

It was warm inside, and it even exuded a sense of security that made one want to stay and never leave.

"The owner of this cave is really quite ingenious."

Chu Liangyu praised sincerely after surveying the cave.

"It’s clean, sure, but how can you tell the owner is ingenious, Sister Liangyu?"

Seeing her curiosity, Chu Liangyu explained her reasoning.

But Xiong Jiaojiao’s mind worked differently. Her focus wasn’t on the cave’s owner, but on Chu Liangyu herself.

"Sister Liangyu, if we’re talking about who’s ingenious, isn’t it you?"

Puzzled, Chu Liangyu looked up at her.

Xiong Jiaojiao smiled and said, "Think about it. This cave might be well set up, but without you, who would have noticed?"

"So, the most ingenious one here is still you."

She hadn’t realized Xiong Jiaojiao could be so smooth with her words, and she couldn’t help but be amused.

Outside the cave, the rain grew heavier, drumming against the banana leaves with a loud PITTER-PATTER.

Besides the banana leaves, there was another poor soul getting drenched in the downpour.

He was right at his own doorstep, but he didn’t dare enter. The female he so wanted to see was clearly inside, yet whenever he got close, he would shrink back.

Rain soaked his hair and ran into his eyes, making them sting, but he didn’t so much as blink.

The two talked for a long time, and before long, Xiong Jiaojiao grew sleepy.

Chu Liangyu, however, was wide awake, so she sat up to keep watch through the night.

She couldn’t let the night pass idly. While keeping watch, Chu Liangyu also made sure to cultivate her mental method.

With each breath, Chu Liangyu gradually fell into a deeper state of practice.

After an unknown amount of time, a sudden flash of lightning blinded Chu Liangyu for a moment.

She instinctively opened her eyes. Suddenly, she thought she saw a figure at the mouth of the cave.

Her breath hitched. The bronze short knife materialized in her hand.

Hugging the wall, she crept silently toward the entrance.

Another flash of lightning briefly illuminated the scene outside.
