Dream Dimension: My Reality Reversal is too OP!!
Chapter 2: Dream DimensionAs night arrived, Liam lay down on his bed.
His mother held his hand tightly.
"Just focus on surviving, okay?" she said, her voice filled with worry.
Liam nodded.
"I will, Mom. And when I come back, I’ll bring you a gift."
His mother smiled softly and kissed his forehead.
"I’ll be waiting."
With that, she left the room and quietly closed the door behind her.
Liam slowly closed his eyes.
Focusing on the Dream Mark engraved upon his soul, he felt his consciousness leave his body.
Everything around him faded into darkness.
A few moments later, he slowly opened his eye.
The first thing he noticed was the damp stone ceiling above him.
Looking around, he realized he was inside a dark cave.
"So this is the Dream Dimension..."
He calmly observed his surroundings.
The cave was quiet, with only the occasional sound of dripping water echoing through it.
He wasn’t surprised.
According to what he had learned at the academy, Cursed Eyes naturally lived inside caves and other dark places.
He looked down at himself.
Instead of a human body, there was only a large floating eyeball with two bat-like wings attached to either side.
The wings flapped instinctively, keeping him suspended in the air.
"Atleast, I can fly..."
Liam tried moving forward.
After wobbling awkwardly for a few seconds, he slowly became accustomed to controlling his wings.
Flying wasn’t as difficult as he had expected.
The only strange part was that he couldn’t speak.
Without a mouth, all he could do was think silently to himself.
"I guess that’s another disadvantage of being a Cursed Eye."
Still, compared to surviving, not being able to talk was the least of his worries.
Taking a deep breath—or at least the mental equivalent—Liam prayed with all his might before opening his status screen.
Besides granting a Dream Race, the Dream Dimension also awakened a random Talent for every Dream Walker.
A person’s Talent was just as important as their Dream Race.
Some Talents increased growth speed, while others enhanced combat, magic, or even allowed their owners to manipulate unique powers.
Liam desperately hoped he had awakened a powerful Talent.
However, from what he had learned, Talents were often related to a person’s Dream Race.
If that was true...
How powerful could a Talent from a Cursed Eye possibly be?
With that thought, Liam opened his status screen.
A black screen with silver letters appeared before his single eye.
Name: Liam Heart
Dream Race: Cursed Eye (F-Rank)
Tier: 0
Level: 1
Talent: Reality Reversal
Skills
Cursed Gaze (Lv.1)
Attributes
Strength: 1
Agility: 3
Vitality: 2
Intelligence: 5
Liam looked over his status carefully.
His race was exactly what he expected.
He only possessed a single skill, Cursed Gaze, the racial ability of every Cursed Eye.
His attributes were also pitiful.
Strength represented physical power.
Agility determined movement speed, reaction speed, and flight speed.
Vitality represented endurance, stamina, and resistance.
Intelligence increased mana, mental power, and the effectiveness of magical abilities.
As expected of a floating eyeball, his physical attributes were terrible.
Only his Intelligence was somewhat decent.
Then Liam’s gaze stopped on one line.
Talent: Reality Reversal
Then Liam’s gaze stopped on one line.
Talent: Reality Reversal
He frowned.
"Reality Reversal?"
He had never heard of such a Talent before.
Focusing on it, a description appeared beneath the Talent’s name.
Reality Reversal
Rank: Unknown
Description: A Talent that allows its owner to reverse a chosen state or concept.
Current Uses: 5/5 per day.
The greater the target or concept, the greater the energy required.
If the target exceeds the Talent’s current limit, the reversal will fail.
The Talent will grow stronger as its owner grows stronger.
Liam blinked his single large eye several times.
"What does that even mean?"
He read the description again from the beginning.
Reverse any state...
Reverse any concept...
It sounded unbelievably powerful, yet the description was so vague that he had no idea what he could actually do with it.
Could he make a weak monster become strong?
Could he turn an open door into a closed one?
Could he make himself lighter to fly faster?
Or could he reverse his own injuries into perfect health?
There were too many possibilities.
At the same time, the Talent clearly had limits.
It only had five uses each day, and stronger reversals would require more power than he currently possessed.
Liam stared at his status screen, his attention fixed on his Talent.
His eyes slowly moved to his only skill.
Cursed Gaze (Lv.1)
Since Reality Reversal could reverse states and concepts, an idea suddenly came to mind.
If I can reverse a skill’s level...
Can I turn Level 1 into Level 10?
Then another thought appeared.
What about my race?
Can I reverse the weakest race into the strongest one?
Liam immediately focused on his Dream Race.
Cursed Eye (F-Rank).
"Reality Reversal."
The Talent activated.
A faint light surrounded his body for a brief moment before disappearing.
A notification appeared in front of him.
[ Insufficient Authority. ]
The attempt had failed.
However, Liam wasn’t disappointed.
Instead, his eye lit up.
"So... it means I can do it."
"I’m just too weak right now."
The message hadn’t said the action was impossible.
It had only said he lacked the authority.
That meant as he became stronger, reversing the rank of his Dream Race might one day become possible.
With that thought in mind, Liam shifted his attention to his only skill.
Cursed Gaze (Lv.1)
"If I can’t reverse my race yet..."
"...then let’s try my skill."
Without hesitation, he activated Reality Reversal again, this time targeting the skill’s level.
A warm light engulfed his floating body.
Countless insights suddenly flooded his mind.
It was as if years of experience using Cursed Gaze had been compressed into a single instant.
Liam instinctively understood every detail of the skill.
Its range.
Its limits.
Its strengths.
Its weaknesses.
The feeling lasted only a few seconds before disappearing.
When Liam regained his senses, he quickly looked at his status screen.
A new notification was waiting for him.
[ Reality Reversal successful. ]
[ Cursed Gaze has been reversed. ]
[ Skill Level: 1 → 10 (MAX) ]
Liam stared at the screen in disbelief.
"It actually worked..."
