Chapter 117: The Hunter Thirsts for Blood (16)

Everything happened in a flash.

This was the first sound Henrik had made since he appeared.

Although the wound on his back was gruesome, he still had not fallen.

Clatter!

He dropped the Long Blade to the ground and crouched in a pool of blood.

He knelt among the Chen Clan disciples he had killed upon his arrival.

Crouched on all fours like an animal, he actually began to devour the scattered, severed limbs.

The sickening crunch of his chewing filled the air.

This visceral scene left Chen Mingfei, who was standing nearby, frightened out of his wits.

Not only that, but white bones pierced through the wound on his back, forming two ghastly bone plates in the blink of an eye.

Fuck! There isn't even a spot left for a Visceral Attack!

Has he completely beastified?

Fu Qian watched from the side with a frown.

Setting the beastification aside, isn't this a bit too persistent?

In his line of sight, the fully transformed Henrik raised his head once again.

His bloodstained face remained locked onto him.

Aren't you only interested in the Psychic Type? Logically speaking, anyone else here should be more delicious than me, right?

Why are you so fixated on me!

Never mind the rest, there's a soft, tender, and chewy Wen Li right beside us!

Internal complaints aside, looking into Henrik's frenzied eyes, Fu Qian felt no fear.

Even the aura emanating from the transformed Henrik faintly carried the weight of a Demigod.

However, the flaw of sacrificing intelligence for power was obvious.

An animal's actions were always easier to predict than a human's.

For example, right now.

The next moment, the four-legged Henrik turned into a streak of bloody light and rammed headfirst toward him.

Sure enough, a reckless boar rush!

When Henrik made his preparatory movements just now, Fu Qian had immediately thought of the crocodile monster he had torn apart with his bare hands.

Facts proved his guess correct.

However, Demigod Grade strength was no trivial matter.

Even though he had anticipated the move, that terrifying speed still almost caught him off guard.

As Fu Qian dodged, the ghastly sharp teeth in Henrik's mouth nearly bit into his throat.

Narrowly evading the strike, Fu Qian swiftly opened up the distance.

Against this kind of opponent, he could theoretically replicate the strategy he used to kill the crocodile monster: morph his arm into a spear and meet the charge head-on.

He might suffer some injuries at most, but Fu Qian had complete confidence he could grind the monster down.

But Fu Qian was unwilling to expose his shapeshifting ability, nor did he want his performance to seem too exaggerated.

Truly soloing a Demigod Grade monster would easily invite suspicion.

Most importantly, even though he had seen the main target, he still hadn't found any trace of the Blood of Thorns.

He had personally unleashed a Visceral Attack just now. Henrik's blood had splattered everywhere, yet there seemed to be nothing special about it.

All of this gave Fu Qian a faint premonition: even if he killed Henrik here, he probably wouldn't find the Blood of Thorns.

Then I shouldn't expose myself just yet!

Fu Qian quickly made up his mind. At that moment, Henrik's second charge arrived.

His speed seems a bit slower this time?

Fu Qian calmly dodged and glanced to the side.

Wen Li had already stood up. She stood to the side with pursed lips, her eyes locked dead on Henrik.

Emotion Amplification?

Fu Qian's heart stirred. This girl had some courage—far better than that guy who only knew how to scream.

Even so, trying to interfere with someone at Henrik's level was normally almost impossible.

However, Henrik was already in a frenzied state with extremely intense emotions to begin with, so her ability finally produced a sliver of effect.

Under the Emotion Amplification, Henrik, having missed his target once again, let out a pained roar and smashed his head against the ground several times.

Yet, what left Fu Qian speechless was that after smashing his head, an even more frenzied Henrik looked up and continued to stare dead at him.

Facts proved that Wen Li's attack had failed to draw his aggro.

Is my taunt value really that high?

Fu Qian sighed inwardly once again.

Whatever. It's not like I haven't seen scenes like this before.

Fu Qian snorted. The next moment, scarlet light burst forth, and a long whip lashed onto Henrik's body.

Tyrant's Fist. Every lash could cause the target to lose their sanity.

In fact, he wasn't entirely sure if this thing would be effective, especially against a target that had already lost its mind.

But he was also a bit curious to see just how much could be achieved by combining Tyrant's Fist with Wen Li's Emotion Amplification.

Continuously dodging the monster's attacks, Fu Qian ceaselessly lashed Henrik with the long whip in his hand.

And as he was repeatedly struck, Henrik grew increasingly insane. Sharp bone spikes even began to emerge all over his body, making his appearance even more hideous.

However, Fu Qian had slowly adapted to Henrik's speed; all of the beast's attacks were in vain.

His collapse was only a matter of time.

"Ah!"

Dodging Henrik's reckless boar rush once more, Fu Qian heard a miserable shriek behind him.

Fu Qian glanced back, only to see Chen Mingfei clutching his leg and screaming frantically.

This guy had scrambled up and hidden to the side earlier, but as luck would have it, he was struck by debris sent flying by Henrik and instantly injured.

Perhaps piqued by the scream, Henrik's entirely blood-red eyes finally shifted away from Fu Qian and pinned onto Chen Mingfei.

The latter was instantly frightened out of his wits and instinctively tried to flee.

But locked onto directly by a Demigod, his reaction was identical to Wen Li's—his whole body stiffened, unable to move a muscle.

Just as Chen Mingfei was plunged into this desperate situation, an invisible force suddenly appeared.

This force carried him several meters sideways, allowing him to evade Henrik's fatal charge.

"I heard some commotion over here."

Deng Feizhou appeared to the side. He surveyed the surroundings with a solemn expression and took a deep look at Fu Qian.

"I didn't expect him to run over here."

"Leave it to me."

As he spoke, Deng Feizhou waved his hand, and Chen Mingfei's body was pushed back another two steps.

Bang! Bang!

At the same time, muffled explosions rang out as two red storms materialized beneath Henrik's feet.

The corpses of two Chen Clan disciples had exploded almost simultaneously.

The splattering flesh and blood bombarded Henrik, nearly flipping him to the ground.

Impressive power!

Fu Qian nodded. He had absolutely no intention of stepping up to deal a finishing blow, opting instead to act as a spectator on the sidelines.

Suddenly attacked, Henrik let out another furious roar. He flipped up from the ground and locked his gaze on Deng Feizhou.

The next moment, he arched his back, bent his knees, and leaped high into the air.

Isn't this jump a bit too high?

Fu Qian watched Henrik in midair.

He leaped over the severed limbs, bounded over the treetops, cleared Deng Feizhou, and landed directly on the roof behind them.

Hm?

Making such a huge scene, and he's actually trying to run?

"Hmph, where do you think you're going?"

Deng Feizhou sneered and reached out to grasp at the empty air.

On the roof, Henrik's movements stiffened as if he had been seized by an invisible hand.

However, it only lasted for half a second. The trapped Henrik roared at the sky, and the terrifying power within his body erupted.

Deng Feizhou gave a muffled grunt, and his grip loosened.

The restraints on Henrik shattered, and he swiftly vanished from sight.
