Within minutes, the Kemisist group was completely decimated.
The chat erupted again.
[Vorn (Kemisist Faction)]: What the hell happened?! Our team was wiped out!
[Helena (Olympian Faction)]: Ha! Serves you right for being greedy.
[Vorn (Kemisist Faction)]: Someone already claimed the node! Who the hell are they?!
[Bjorn (Norse Faction)]: Maybe you should have sent stronger people.
[Vorn (Kemisist Faction)]: We sent our best Emperor-Rank team! They were destroyed in minutes!
[Monk Chen (Buddhist Faction)]: Perhaps this is karma for your previous actions.
[Vorn (Kemisist Faction)]: Shut up! This isn’t over!
While this happened, Caelus and Sylvia reached another Origin Energy Node.
The players occupying it barely had time to react before the two began tearing through their defenses.
CRASH!
Caelus’s fist shattered a barrier.
WHOOSH!
Sylvia’s blood constructs swept through the guards like a crimson tide.
"NO! This is our lifeblood!"
"If you take this node, you’ll destroy everything we’ve built!"
"We need it more." Caelus replied with a smile.
He then offered them another choice.
"If you want, you can join my kingdom."
The leader’s face twisted with rage.
"Over my dead body!"
Caelus sighed before kicking him away and proceeding to conquer the node.
[Origin Energy Extraction Successful.]
[+5 Combat Score.]
[+3,500 Units of Origin Energy.]
[+1,000,000 Origin Credits.]
[Combat Score: 85.12 → 90.12]
Then the conquest notification appeared.
[You have conquered an Origin Energy Node.]
[All members of your Kingdom will receive 4.5 Units of Origin Energy daily.]
[All members of your Kingdom will receive 20,000 Origin Credits daily.]
[All party members who participated in the conquest have received +5 Combat Score.]
[Caelus Kross Combat Score: 90.12 → 95.12]
[Sylvia Reign Combat Score: 80.12 → 85.12]
The additional Combat Score was distributed among the Genesis Kingdom members who participated, including Gorn, Valeria, Ayame, Freya, Serpahin Lin and Candy who were in his party.
Caelus found the result incredibly satisfying.
Afterward, he turned toward Sylvia.
"I think we should bring the Genesis Kingdom players here. There are plenty of beasts around us. We can use the traps to capture them and then have the players kill them to level up."
Sylvia nodded.
"You and Seraphin Lin and the others stay here," Caelus continued. "I’ll bring the others over. And Sylvia, help Seraphin Lin if you can."
Leaving the node undefended would be dangerous, so Sylvia agreed.
Seraphin Lin had recently awakened her own transformation after receiving an Awakening Stone during their ascension. Caelus intended to take advantage of the training opportunity to help her master it much faster.
Caelus left the node.
Seraphin Lin entered the surrounding area with Sylvia, Gorn, Valeria, Lucian, and the others.
Almost immediately, they were attacked.
SCREEEECH!
Shadowy monsters emerged from the darkness, swarming the group. Their forms were twisted and unnatural, made of pure darkness that seemed to consume light itself.
Sylvia immediately felt something strange.
There was something about these creatures that gave her an inexplicable sense of familiarity. A connection she couldn’t quite explain.
More monsters attacked.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Sylvia and the others effortlessly eliminated them. Blood constructs tore through the shadows while Gorn’s massive fists crushed anything that came close.
Then the surrounding world suddenly became darker.
Sylvia’s expression changed.
The light itself seemed to be draining away, consumed by an encroaching void that spread across the landscape.
Footsteps echoed through the darkness.
TAP. TAP. TAP.
Sylvia slowly turned around.
A hooded figure was walking toward them.
The figure stopped a few meters away.
Slowly, she removed her hood.
A woman with paler skin and an appearance almost identical to Sylvia stood before them.
But her skin was deathly pale, and her aura radiated death.
Gorn, Valeria, Seraphin Lin, Candy and Lucian were stunned.
"Miss Sylvia... she looks just like you," Lucian exclaimed in surprise.
Sylvia did not answer.
Instead, she smiled at her identical twin.
The mysterious woman laughed.
"We finally meet. First Ender of Death."
Everyone’s expression changed.
"First Ender of Death?"
"What the hell is happening here?"
The group was stunned by the implications. The Enders were absolute beings who once stood at the pinnacle of the Origin Expanse, possessing power that ordinary players could never comprehend.
And now this woman was calling Sylvia the First Ender of Death.
Sylvia looked directly at her.
"I take it you’re the Ender of Death of this era."
"That is correct."
The woman laughed wildly.
"Isn’t it strange? We look the same. Even I was surprised when I first saw you through my visions."
"It truly was strange."
She stepped closer.
"Ever since I saw you, I wanted to find you. My twin. I wanted you close to me."
Her smile widened.
"Now we finally meet face to face. My predecessor."
Sylvia’s smile became charming.
"Well, we’ve met, haven’t we? I think it’s time you turned around and left. This domain belongs to me."
The current Ender of Death tilted her head.
"Leave? Why should I leave?"
Sylvia smiled.
"Aren’t I your predecessor? The First Ender of Death? You should listen to me, my twin."
The moment she finished speaking, Sylvia’s blood doppelganger suddenly appeared and launched a surprise attack.
WHOOSH!
The crimson copy shot toward the Ender of Death with deadly speed, claws extended and ready to tear through flesh.
However, before the doppelganger could touch the current Ender of Death, she effortlessly destroyed it.
SHATTER!
The blood construct exploded into mist.
"Fantastic," the Ender of Death said with an amused smile. "You did well."
Her expression suddenly became darker.
"But it isn’t enough."
Dark energy immediately spread around Sylvia.
WHOOOM!
A dark barrier formed around her before she could react. The shadows wrapped around her body like chains, binding her limbs and restricting her movement.
Sylvia’s body grew heavy. Her consciousness began fading. She tried to fight back, but the darkness was overwhelming.
"Miss Sylvia!"
Gorn, Valeria, and Seraphin Lin immediately attempted to intervene.
BOOM!
Gorn’s fist slammed against the dark barrier, but it didn’t budge.
"What are you doing to Miss Sylvia?!"
The Ender of Death simply smiled. "I’m taking my twin away. So I can keep her safe."
The Ender of Death turned away and disappeared into the darkness with Sylvia.
WHOOSH!
The others could only stare in shock.
And just like that, Sylvia was gone.
