ENERGI: THE PRIMORDIAL CONDUIT[OP MC, APOCALYPSE, SURVIVAL, AND LITRPG]
CHAPTER 127: INCREDIBLEKael practically tuned the world around him out. With the aid of Godly Focus, he was quickly able to reign in his roiling emotions.
Even then, Kael couldn't stop his inner surprise, even though his outward expression had returned to its flat state.
'Whoa! Just how the hell did I get up here? And how do I get back down?'
As if they had heard his thoughts, the two obsidian black limbs suddenly retracted, bringing Kael down with them. Only then did Kael register something.
'Wait...'
He quickly willed for the second mind granted to him by his Mythical skill to activate. Even though this trait of the skill was almost overpowered, Kael had never dared to use it in battle due to the immense strain it put on his mind. It was the main reason he was now working toward strengthening his Mind stat with his Energi.
But now, Kael felt his second mind was already in use. It was just that instead of being actively under his control, these new Weaver Limbs were able to split and distribute it among themselves, each limb carrying a fragment of his second consciousness.
'This changes everything!'
The sharp tips of his two upper weaver limbs suddenly clicked softly against one another, as though responding to his excitement.
Kael almost laughed out loud, but was in the end able to restrain his emotions.
'Just imagine how my enemies will feel when they find out they have to watch out for these four extra limbs. Hahaha, not to mention, my fighting style can completely change around this new talent.'
So many ideas were springing through his head that Kael felt his inner child awaken come alive. He almost felt giddy enough to try out his ideas that he wished he could jump into a fight right this moment.
'Do I need to even waste my Energi on strengthening my Strength so much? Who cares if the other party is far more powerful than me? Just one stab from one of these babies would end their lives just the same.'
Kael imagined boosting his Speed and Vitality so much that he could easily outpace his foes. Then with two guns in his hands for long-range combat and his Weaver Limbs for close combat, just who would dare challenge him?
'Now that I think of it, I should be able to summon four extra limbs with my ENERGI.'
The more time passed, the more Kael realized just how special this energy within him was. Not to mention his earlier experience, where he felt like it was alive. But he shook the thought away for the moment.
Now wasn't the time.
'Let's keep the extra four as my trump cards. In fact, I'm not happy the others witnessed my talent in action. It would have been better to keep it a secret.'
Thinking of the culprit, Kael's eyes shifted to the side.
Two golden eyes that had been gazing at him with guilt and a bit of dread instantly looked away.
Seeing no changes to the little snake's appearance, Kael quietly summoned his Talent panel. Only then did he notice the few changes below.
Primordial Ouroboros Avatars
AEGON (True Form: 50 cm)
SERIS (True Form: 50 cm)
JINX (True Form: 5 m)
Kael turned to Seris. The little snake who usually rubbed his cheek was looking down at the moment. She rested on his left shoulder, her expression crestfallen. Kael's perception covered his head, finding Aegon already fast asleep.
Raising his right hand, he rubbed the head of the white-and-black-scaled snake gently.
'Don't feel down. I promise the next one will be yours.'
- Hiss!
Seris puffed out a small huff, before snuggling a bit closer to his caresses.
'You know what? Knowing Aegon, he wouldn't mind. I am going to add one more to that list.'
Seris' golden eyes quickly brightened with happiness, bringing a smile to Kael's stoic face.
- HISSS!
But who would have thought a deeply threatening hiss would come from his side at this moment?
Kael turned his head slowly back to Jinx. Seeing his cold blue eyes fall on her, Jinx realized he meant business this time. The fierce resistance she had been trying to raise suddenly deflated like a balloon. Her head drooped, her figure retreating back into his wild hair, where she disappeared completely.
Kael's eyes remained trained on her previous position for a moment before he tuned the world back in again.
Only then did he realize the others had been watching him with strange and deeply worried expressions.
Connecting to his Weaver Limbs, he willed them to bring him to the ground. He could already start feeling the strain on his original mind, but Kael didn't mind.
Being able to fluidly use his talent in battle this long was already good enough for him.
'I must find some time to test the different silks!'
He felt his heart surge with excitement as his feet touched the ground. With a thought, his four Weaver Limbs retreated back into his back, just as he deactivated Godly Focus.
Gazing at his sister and friends, Kael flashed a grin.
"Yo!"
