I was geniunely in a shock to see such a change in her personality, but she didn’t see my expression.

"And don’t even get me started on her third album!" Lucifer continued, completely lost in her passionate fan rant, her golden eyes practically sparkling. "The emotional resonance in her lyrics is peak! Nova-sama is literally a goddess walking among mortals! Anyone who doesn’t respect her art deserves to be banished straight to the Nether Realm for eternity. I’ll handle them there myself!"

I sat back in the booth, watching the literal Queen of Hell turn into a full-blown anime otaku right before my eyes.

Fortunately, as Nova’s biggest fan and her actual boyfriend, I possessed an immense wealth of knowledge regarding Yerin’s music. Seeing her enthusiasm, a wide, genuine grin spread across my face.

"Honestly, I agree," I chimed in, leaning into the conversation. "Her vocal range on that third album was incredible. But did you hear the acoustic version she performed live during her winter tour last year? The key shift in the bridge was absolute perfection."

"RIGHT?!" Lucifer practically squealed, leaning clear across the table, her silver hair fluttering as she slapped the wood in excitement. "The key shift!! You noticed the key shift too?! Most casual listeners completely miss the subtle mana harmony in that bridge!! Subarashii!"

For the next fifteen minutes, the two of us engaged in a fast-paced, immensely passionate discussion about Nova’s discography, favorite stage outfits, and performance choreography. We traded theories about her lyrics, ranked her best tracks, and gushed over her incredible talent.

Within minutes, our shared, obsessive appreciation for Yerin completely broke down any remaining high-society barriers between us. The ancient Devil Queen and the young holder of Origin quickly became genuine friends, laughing together over a table of fast food.

Standing quietly behind my shoulder, Val maintained her stoic posture, though her dark eyes practically blinked with total, speechless bewilderment at the bizarre sight unfolding before her.

BEEP... BEEP... BEEP...

A sudden, sharp chime sounded from an antique silver pocket watch strapped around Lucifer’s wrist.

Lucifer froze mid-sentence. She quickly checked the watch face, and her golden eyes widened in sudden panic.

She abruptly cleared her throat, rapidly gulping down the rest of her soda before wiping her mouth with a napkin and standing up from the booth.

"Ah! Kuso! I have to go right now!" Lucifer declared frantically, smoothing down her sleek outfit. "The limited-edition signed farewell merchandise booth opens on the eastern concourse in five minutes! If I don’t get in line immediately, the signed Nova plushies and commemorative T-shirts are going to sell out completely."

She quickly reached into her jacket pocket, pulled out a high-end black smartphone, and shoved it toward me. "Quick! Give me your phone number, Seth! Fast!"

I pulled out my phone, swapping numbers with her as she rapidly entered my contact information.

RING.

My phone vibrated in my hand, displaying an incoming call from an unlisted, runically encrypted Underworld frequency.

"There!" Lucifer grinned brightly, pocketing her device as she stepped out of the dining alcove. "That’s my private line! If you ever want to hang out, talk more about Nova-sama’s music, or grab more human burgers, just give me a call anytime."

"Will do," I chuckled, standing up from the booth. "Good luck getting that signed plushie."

"Thanks! I’m going to buy out the whole stock!" Lucifer cheered.

Without waiting another second, the terrifying, world-shaking Devil Queen turned on her heel and skipped down the marble hallway like an excited, hyperactive schoolgirl, her silver hair swaying behind her as she rushed off to buy pop-star merchandise.

I stood in the middle of the empty restaurant, carrying the inert mana bomb and the bandaged spear, staring at the empty corridor in absolute, speechless silence.

’I... I just got Devil Queen Lucifer’s personal phone number... because we both fanboyed over my girlfriend,’ I thought, my brain still trying to process the sheer absurdity of the last twenty minutes.

Behind me, Val took a slow, deep breath before stepping up to my side.

Her stoic, professional guard mask was completely cracked, her violet eyes fixed on the empty hallway in total astonishment.

"Seth.." Val spoke softly, her voice carrying a rare, bewildered tremor. "...I have spent my entire life studying the threats of the supernatural realm. I have read countless war archives regarding the Underworld... and I never, in my wildest dreams, expected Devil Queen Lucifer to be... like this."

A loud, genuine laugh erupted from my chest as I picked up the heavy mana core and wrapped spear.

"Yeah," I grinned, looking down at my phone screen with a dry smirk. "Honestly, Val... neither did I."

I stretched my shoulders, turning back toward the service elevator.

"Come on,’ I said with a smile, gesturing for my blushing bodyguard fiancée to follow. "The concert is officially over, and the venue is clearing out. It’s time to head back to the skybox and meet up with my family."

...

Walking down the polished corridor toward the VIP elevators, my mind kept drifting back to the encounter in the dining alcove.

’Hey, Paige,’ I asked mentally, carrying the deactivated mana bomb under my arm while holding the wrapped spear. ’Why does someone like Lucifer behave that way? She’s the absolute ruler of the Underworld, yet she acts like an energetic otaku eating fast food in a public mall.’

That still confused me, even if I was thankful for it as it allowed me to befriend her. My luck was really something else. How long had it been since I got the system and I already befriended Lucifer?

[Fufufu~ It’s pretty simple, Seth,] Paige’s voice chimed inside my head, her tone taking on a rare, insightful rhythm. [You have to remember that Lucifer is thousands of years old. She’s one of the most powerful entities in existence. When you live for millennia in a world that has been relatively peaceful without major inter-realm wars, sheer boredom becomes your primary enemy.]
