As the woman passed our group, her golden eyes locked squarely onto mine.
A sharp, dangerously playful grin spread across her gorgeous face. Without slowing her stride, she casually raised a red can of soda toward me in a silent toast.
Surprised by her sudden gesture, I offered a polite nod back, raising my hand in a brief greeting as we crossed paths.
As she walked past, I felt a subtle, strange hum in the atmosphere. I looked back over my shoulder, thoroughly confused.
’Hey, Paige...’ I asked mentally, ’...who was that silver-haired woman?’
[Fufufu~] Paige’s voice chimed inside my head, practically bursting with playful, mischievous glee. [That, my dear Host... was the Devil Queen, Lucifer herself!]
I nearly froze mid-step, my heart skipping a beat.
I forced my expression to remain completely neutral, keeping my feet moving smoothly beside Val and Dylan, but my brain was screaming.
’Wait... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!’ I yelled mentally. ’Paige, are you pulling a prank on me?!’
[Pft! As if!] Paige snorted playfully in my mind. [Host, if I were pulling a prank on you, Devil Queen Lucifer would currently be tied up on your bed in red silk ribbons as a surprise present!]
My lips twitched dryly. Paige’s mind was 100% filled with sex-crazed thoughts, so if she were making a joke, it definitely would have been something like that.
I took a slow, steadying breath, looking toward the VIP elevator doors.
Heaven’s most beautiful fallen angel... the terrifying ruler of the Underworld... Devil Queen Lucifer herself was inside the stadium. And she hadn’t just come to watch a concert... she had come specifically to meet me.
I forced myself to push the whole "Devil Queen Lucifer" situation to the back of my mind for now. Today was Yerin’s day, and I wasn’t about to let the surprise appearance of an ancient fallen angel distract me from enjoying the concert with my family.
Stepping into the central VIP elevator with Val and Dylan, we smoothly ascended to the top floor of the complex.
When the doors opened, an usher led us down a glass-floored hallway toward our assigned private skybox. Stepping inside, I was genuinely floored by the engineering. The VIP skyboxes weren’t built into the back walls of the stadium like standard arenas, they were floating, mid-air platforms suspended high above the ground by powerful levitation wards.
It was a brilliant design. It allowed high-society guests and VIPs to have an unobstructed, front-row aerial view of the soundstage without taking away a single prime floor spot from the normal fans. Yerin had insisted on prioritizing her fans over corporate money, so Sarah had explicitly instructed the architects to construct the stadium this way.
Walking into our private floating skybox, I found my family already waiting inside.
"Seth, sweetie!" Mom cheered the second she saw me. She sprinted across the plush carpet, completely ignoring her high-society elegance, and pulled me into a warm, fierce embrace.
Over her shoulder, Dad gave me a firm, proud nod from his armchair, while Grandfather stood near the front glass railing, leaning on his silver-headed cane and staring silently out over the vast arena like a stoic ancient sentinel. Sitting on a leather sofa nearby, Yoona shot me a subtle, teasing wink, her dark eyes sparkling with secret amusement.
"Look at you, my handsome boy!" Alice beamed, pulling back before her eyes drifted down to the little guy standing beside me. Her face instantly lit up with pure, doting affection. "Oh! And who is this handsome little gentleman?"
Alice dropped onto one knee, giving Dylan a warm, welcoming hug. Dylan giggled in her embrace and returned the hug.
Before I could even open my mouth to introduce him, heavy, frantic footsteps echoed from the hallway outside.
BANG!
The skybox doors swung wide open. Standing in the doorway, panting heavily, with disheveled hair and sweat glistening on her forehead, was Sarah.
She didn’t even notice the billionaire tycoons or ancient legends sitting in the room. Her wide, terrified eyes swept across the skybox until they locked onto Dylan.
The moment she saw him standing there completely unharmed, an overwhelming wave of bone-deep relief washed over her face. Her knees visibly buckled, and she collapsed onto the carpeted floor.
"Sarah?!" I gasped, quickly stepping forward to help her back to her feet. "Are you okay? What happened?"
Dylan’s eyes widened in panic, and he sprinted over to her side. "Mom! Are you alright?! Did something happen?!"
Behind me, Val’s usually stoic expression faltered, a flash of genuine surprise crossing her face. Neither Val nor I had expected Sarah, the hyper-capable, terrifyingly efficient lead manager of the entire event, to be Dylan’s mother.
"Dylan... oh, thank God..." Sarah wept softly, wrapping her arms around her son in a tight, tear-filled embrace.
Dylan hugged her tightly, his little face filled with guilt as he tried to wipe her tears. "I’m sorry, Mom! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to make you cry!"
Sarah shook her head, pressing a warm kiss against his forehead as she caught her breath. "No, no... it’s not your fault, baby. Mommy was just scared..."
After taking a few deep breaths, Sarah finally managed to compose herself. She wiped her tears with the back of her sleeve, stood up, and looked around the luxurious skybox, finally noticing me standing in front of her.
Sarah blinked, completely stunned. "Seth?! What in the world are you doing in here?!"
I let out a dry, amused chuckle. "What are you doing in here, Sarah? This is my family’s private VIP skybox."
Sarah’s brain stalled for a solid two seconds.
Her eyes darted from my face to Alice, then to Julian, then to Alistair Rothschild standing by the window. The terrifying realization of who she was standing in front of hit her all at once. Her face turned slightly red, and she immediately bowed deeply toward Alice and Julian.
"I-I offer my deepest apologies, Lord Julian, Lady Alice!" Sarah stammered, her voice trembling slightly. "I had no idea this was your private suite! Please forgive my disgraceful intrusion and ugly display!"
