Sunflare looked the most serious he had looked since Alex had seen him, his face perfectly rigid, with not a single muscle moving. He stared at Alex for a long time before asking him to repeat what he had said again.

"I currently have the Sun God’s Godly Yang Body," Alex answered.

"That’s... how is that possible? How did you get it?" he asked.

"I evolved my body," Alex answered. "Why do you think I claim to be the Sun God? Because I am."

There was a part of the truth that Alex could never tell this man, and that was the fact that the real Sun God was technically within him, and it was not the tree as the man believed. However, should he ever find that truth out, he would likely stop at nothing to free the Dragon Father stuck inside his head as a sealed Spirit.

Sunflare stepped back. "That is a lie," he declared. "Many have had the Sun God’s body in the past. That does not make you the Sun God."

"Then what does?" Alex asked. "I have the Sun God’s body. I have a Supreme Yang root. Hell, I even consumed the fruit of the tree you claim to be your god. What else do you need from me to prove that I am not lying?"

The man said nothing. He remained silent for a long time, his eyes moving all around as his thoughts raced through his mind. He didn’t have an answer to Alex’s question except for the pure belief in his mind that he was correct.

After a while, he took a deep breath and spoke the one thing he knew to be the truth.

"The Sun God is a True God. You are not a True God," the man said. "Besides, the Sun God is dead, and the Tree is all that lives of his essence. You are not that."

Alex didn’t know what else he could say at that point without revealing information about the trial in the Sun’s Talon realm. He could only give up.

"You are free to believe whatever you want, senior. But please do not stop me when I’m cultivating. You have said you won’t be interfering in anything, so I ask that you stay true to your word."

The man narrowed his eyes for a moment before nodding quickly. He had to accept that much.

After the man returned to the corner, his head still buzzing with questions but unable to ask them, Alex sat back on the metal formation and let it activate again, continuing his cultivation session. It took a bit to get back into the flow of things, but he quickly managed to find it again.

Then, he cultivated entirely of his own accord.

There was a bit more involved than just cultivation, of course. There were periods when Alex absorbed more energy into his Origins. Periods when he trained with the technique the Artifact God had given him. There were even periods when he cultivated with the White Tiger’s technique, as well as the Wood technique he had received from the Sky God in order to help Pearl.

He found a gap in between to look after his pillbugs too, though he didn’t have the time to fasten them, so he placed the new ones in the zone where time flowed very slowly. He would look into them later on.

The only thing Alex did not do in front of Sunflare was bring out his Blood God’s Manual. He didn’t believe the man would expose that fact to the Blood God, but he didn’t want to take any chances. That meant he could neither improve his Blood Origins nor work on figuring out something for the Blood Beasts.

At this point, that would have to be after the Gods’ Court met up for their council. Once he was safe from the Fire God, even if it was after losing to him, he would have more time.

Alex expected to be able to cultivate for 10 or so years, but to his surprise, he didn’t receive any message from the Artifact God during that time at all. He waited for several more years, and only when over 18 years had passed did she send him a message.

On the outside, it had been nearly a year since she sent Alex back, but for Alex, it had been a long time. When he ended his cultivation session and walked out, he had progressed quite significantly in his cultivation. At this rate, he would have to cultivate for at most 3 more regular years before he reached the next Immortal Transcendent 7th realm.

Once Alex stopped, the people inside his Soul Space came out one after another, while others made preparations to go in.

Sunflare watched in awe yet again as he remembered that so many people, mostly Immortals, were all staying inside Alex’s Soul Space. He still couldn’t understand how a human could handle all of these people, while on top of that being able to handle the Nine Yang Divine Tree as well.

The slightest doubt formed in his mind, but he quickly squashed it.

His god was dead. That was the truth the Nine Yang Court understood from the start. There was no chance that a human would be the Sun God.

Once Ronron entered his Soul Space, Alex looked toward Sunflare at the corner. "I will be leaving for the Artifact God’s place now. Please stick around here. I will return in a few days, maybe."

"No," the man said, standing up. "I go where you go."

Alex wanted to argue, but there really was no point in doing that at all. He sighed and shrugged. "If that is what you want to do, then let us leave."

Before Alex walked out, Sunflare stopped him.

"Would it... would it be possible for me to go into your Soul Space as well?" the man asked. "I too wish to gain the blessing of my god."

Alex thought for a moment and shrugged. "Sure. But only once I’m done with my next task."
