Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3817: Painful Blackmail

Alex stood before Sunflare with no fear in his eyes or his heart. He watched the Celestial while remaining upright, not cowering in the slightest against his show of might.

The aura Sunflare produced slowly surrounded Alex and pushed on him, as if to squash his courage right then and there, but Alex stood upright on his own strength. His body cultivation alone kept him upright.

Alex let out the slightest hint of a smirk when he realized that the man wasn’t going to dare kill him. Just the fact that Alex had the tree meant that the man would indeed be very careful about deliberately harming him.

That did not mean that the Celestial was going to take the disrespect lying down.

He let out another sharp harrumph. "You reckless child have been around Celestials that have acted in favor of you, so you do not understand what it means to actually go up against one. You are a spoiled brat, so let me tell you this outright. You don’t want to make a Celestial angry. They can kill you before you can blink."

Alex let out a short snort. "Do you think I don’t know that, senior? Do you think I’ve only been coddled by Celestials? I know how strong a Celestial is. I know how dangerous they are. I also know when they are not dangerous. I know when I can afford to offend one. As long as the tree stays with me, you can’t kill me."

Sunflare held a nasty look on his face.

"Also," Alex added. "I wouldn’t really mind offending another Celestial. I’ve already offended two, so what’s one more?"

Sunflare glared at Alex for some time before smirking slightly. "You are suicidal. Do you think you are safe just because I won’t kill you? I can hurt you in other ways."

Alex shrugged. "You are free to do that, senior. Go ahead."

Alex laid his arms open, asking to be attacked.

Sunflare could hold his anger in no longer. He swiped his hand once, and a blast of hot wind struck Alex, cutting deep into his flesh, searing it wherever the cuts landed.

The Artifact God gasped slightly, wanting to move up and help, but she couldn’t do that. She remained where she was, watching the entire thing.

"What now?" Sunflare asked. "Do you still want to run your mouth?"

Alex remained silent for a moment, looking down at his body. He saw the cuts around his body and looked back at the man. "Is that all you are going to do, senior?"

The man let out a low grumble before swinging his hand again. This time, Alex saw the attack before it landed on him. The swing of his hand created a bunch of bright yellow and green motes of light that continued to transform themselves into yellow blades of wind that both cut into him and seared him.

More wounds appeared around Alex’s body, none of which bled in the slightest. The flesh was seared the moment the attack landed, so the cut blood vessels were seared shut as well. That did cause parts of his body to become paler as blood no longer reached them.

"Do you still want to keep speaking?" Sunflare asked.

Alex shook his head. "No."

"Good," the man said. "I will—"

"Speaking might just waste more time than you already are," Alex said as he flattened his palm before him, suddenly causing Sword Intent to surround it as it all glowed bright white.

The bald man watched it with confusion. He failed to understand exactly what it was he was seeing. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"Speeding things up for you, senior," Alex said and drove the bladed palm into his chest. His hand pierced deep into his chest, blood squirting out.

"What are you doing?" the man asked in a panicked shout. "Pull your hand out."

Alex did. But along with his hand also came a still-beating heart. Blood spurted out of the aorta still attached to the beating heart.

Alex tossed his heart to the man. "Here."

Sunflare caught the heart with his Qi, keeping it hovering before him. He could hardly understand what had just happened. Things had escalated from one thing to the next so quickly that he couldn’t make sense of it.

The Artifact God also struggled to understand the escalation. She didn’t understand why Alex had chosen to kill himself for a moment, though her panic slowly faded when she remembered something else.

"What are you doing?" Sunflare asked, very much worried that the carrier of his god was about to die.

"You want to hurt me, don’t you? Teach me a lesson?" Alex asked. "Well, I thought we could push things forward and just get to the end. I can’t imagine anything hurting more than getting your heart ripped out, but if you can think of other ways I could hurt more, do let me know."

Alex put his hand down to his stomach. "Maybe you want my liver?"

"You..." the man had no words.

"Oh? You think I shouldn’t have gone straight for the heart? That’s fine."

Alex swung his palm across his left arm, cutting it off directly. "Well, there goes my arm. What next, senior? How else do you want to hurt me?"

Alex placed his palm across his nape.

"How about I give you my head?"

"STOP!" the man shouted before Alex could move his hand.

Alex paused. "Well, what next?"

The man didn’t know what to say. He was far too much in shock at Alex’s actions. He looked down at the heart that had stopped beating.

"E-eat a pill quickly," the man said.

"Only once you give me your word that you will do as I say," Alex said.

"Stop trying to blackmail me. You’ll die," the man shouted.

"Give me your word, senior."

"You—"

"Just say the words."

"Fine!" Sunflare shouted. "You win, you suicidal little shit. I won’t follow you in. Now eat a goddamn pill."

Alex chuckled. "Well, thank you."

His limbs formed instantly, his wounds vanishing in the blink of an eye, including the wound in his chest.

"Well, now stay outside, senior. I’ll see you later."
