Kaelen ran his eyes through the floor and realized it was an abandoned, desolate city brimming with dangers. And when he used his [Sharp Senses] for a better understanding of the terrain, he realized that unlike the previous floor, not only did this one have mutated beasts at every corner of the street, there were treasure boxes that were supposed to be hidden and luckily discovered by the players.

But Kaelen’s [Sharp Senses] was an all-seeing attribute at level 25,000+.

At the end of the floor, he could sense a powerful presence whose evolution realm he couldn’t exactly tell. But it was clear that it was far stronger than a Tier 11.

His speculations were right. The previous floor was only a preparatory floor before the players ascended to the next level. Also, he was all alone on this floor, and neither his clones nor the Emperor’s advance team were within his perception range.

"Shadow Clone."

He immediately summoned his shadow, which cloned his Slime form, and commanded it to split up so they could cover more ground and arrive at the boss room faster.

Without wasting any more time, they both charged in different directions, immediately pulling the aggro of the nearby beasts that spotted them.

Kaelen didn’t stop for a moment, as several blade-whips shot out from his body, shooting towards the charging beasts and intersecting them before they could even get any closer to Kaelen.

But unlike the beasts Kaelen usually hunted in the forest outside the dungeon, the weakest of these beasts were Tier 10, with some reaching up to Tier 15.

Kaelen didn’t bother with the weaker ones, and as soon as they got too close, Spark of Extinction was activated, and they were erased from existence. As for the stronger beasts, he activated the [Miasma Slime], pooling the entire floor with a thick mist in an instant, before taking out the Primordial staff and conjuring a fireball.

Boom—!!!

The entire floor rocked in a powerful chain of explosions, burning everything in its path down, so that as Kaelen was on his way to the floor’s boss amidst the wildfire, he received a notification that the boss was killed.

[You have killed the Baron of the Lost City of Trivia and all his acolytes]

[You have received 850,000,000,000 Evolution Points]

[You have received (252) Loot Bundles]

[Quality or Quantity?]

"Quality."

[(5) Evolutionary Traits available for Extraction]

"Extract them all."

"850 billion... not bad." Kaelen mused to himself as he swiped the notifications away. He didn’t have time to sift through his loots, as he was running against time.

[Do you wish to ascend to the next floor?]

Not yet.

Kaelen was yet to claim the loot boxes lying around, so he quickly commanded his shadow clone to start unboxing and claiming them as he went around as well.

[You have received (24) Starlight Tier items, (18) Legendary Tier items, (12) Mythic Tier items, (5) Divine Tier items]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[Quality or Quantity?]

"Quality!"

[You have received a Quality-enhanced loot bundle:

(24) Mythic Tier items, (32) Divine Tier items, (3) Primordial Tier items]

...

Kaelen couldn’t find a single Primordial Tier item in any of the loot boxes, but wasn’t bothered at all. Because as long as there was a Divine Tier item in the mix, there was bound to be a few Primordial Tier items.

The 10,000× Reward Multiplier System never disappointed.

He paused to run his eyes across the chaotic floor from the top of a desolate building, before activating the Nameless Shadow God ability.

"Infinite Mana... Arise!"

Swoosh—

The same scene from the previous floor took place again, and the beasts rose into shadow undeads, resembling ancient Egyptian gods with their humanoid bodies and beast heads.

There were no multiple doors on this floor, and it was a one-way trip to the next floor. So Kaelen unsummoned them once more into his shadow, before ascending to the next floor alone.

The next floor was almost identical to the previous floor: a desolate city. But with much stronger beasts, with the lowest evolution realm being Tier 12.

Kaelen didn’t bother with them and summoned his stored shadow army, before commanding them to charge forward and destroy everything in their path. As for him, Kaelen decided to move around and claim all the hidden loot boxes and Easter eggs while his shadow army were at it. Though he had to occasionally fight when his path was blocked by a beast, or one of the hidden treasures had a stationary guardian.

This made him wonder if the advance team would discover all the treasure boxes on their floor.

As for his Shadow Summons on other floors, Kaelen had already instructed them to bring back everyone they could find, though unlike him, they couldn’t see through the veil of the shadow.

[You have received (19) Starlight Tier items, (5) Legendary Tier items, (9) Mythic Tier items, (2) Divine Tier items]

[10,000× Reward Multiplier Triggered...]

[Quality or Quantity?]

"Quality!"

[You have received a Quality-enhanced loot bundle:

(24) Mythic Tier items, (11) Divine Tier items]

"No luck." He mumbled to himself unhappily.

[Your Shadow Summon has been killed]

"Huh?" He was slightly surprised to see that one of his summons had died. It was the first to be killed out of all his summons, but before he could check which it was, another notification flashed across his vision.

[Your Shadow Summon has been killed]

[Your Shadow Summon has been killed]

[Your Shadow Summon has been killed]

Kaelen’s eyes widened in surprise.

It wasn’t too surprising that one died, as they lasted even longer than Kaelen gave them credit for. But for them to die in quick succession, with no less than Tier 11 in their evolution realms, meant that an incredibly strong enemy had appeared.

The first thought that crossed his mind was that his other Shadow Summons had finally encountered the boss of their floors, which should explain their strange deaths.

When something caught his peripheral vision, Kaelen turned to see a projectile impale one of his present Shadow Summons, and it was instantly killed, disintegrating into nothingness.

That was when he realized the deaths weren’t from other floors, but from this floor. And there was an enemy moving around the floor, strong enough to take out Tier 12s in a single hit.

Before he could use his [Sharp Senses] to pinpoint the target, his danger sense was suddenly triggered, and Kaelen jumped out of the way just in time to avoid a spear that dug deep into the earth.

It was different from the first projectile he saw, which resembled an arrowhead, and that brought him to the conclusion that these mysterious and powerful enemies were more than one.
