Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 1100: So This Is How To Play Necromancer? [3]

Knowing the other party was getting serious, though Michael was curious to see how other necromancers fought, he wouldn't completely joke with his life.

The instant the two undead Black Serpent Empire ancestors transformed into their true forms, he cast a skill the very next second.

"Death Ground!"

[Class Skill]: Death's Ground {Perfect Mastery}

[Description]:

The user designates an area as consecrated ground. The domain pulses with the authority of death itself, enforcing the user's will upon all that stands within it.

Undead under the user's command are recognized as extensions of that authority.

The domain persists as long as the user maintains focus or remains within range.

[Effect 1]: All undead within the domain receive +35% Durability, +25% Regeneration, and +20% to all attributes.

[Effect 2]: Fallen enemies within the domain have a chance to rise as undead under the user's temporary command.

[Effect 3]: The domain passively suppresses the combat ability of living enemies within range by 10%.

[Stat Buff]: Strength +10%, Constitution +25%, Agility +10%, Intelligence +20%

[Range]: Scales with Intelligence. At perfect mastery, base range is significantly expanded.

Compared to the amount of energy using his law skill would consume, though the increase wasn't as monstrous, it was still very significant.

Michael's three undead had their power shoot up by varying degrees, making even the two Level 98 undead not fall behind in might compared to the opponent's fully Level 100 undead.

Thanks to his class further boosting dark-related arts, the increase on his undead was actually a bit stronger than what the skill description showed.

The moment Death's Ground spread outward, the entire Deathfrost Rainlands seemed to respond. Gray mist surged from him, expanding rapidly until it swallowed several miles around him.

The freezing rain became heavier, each drop carrying denser death energy than before. When one added the environment to the calculation, the increase the undead received was even greater than usual.

Varek's eyes narrowed.

"So you also have a domain-type skill…"

His annoyance became even more obvious.

To be honest, he hadn't challenged Michael because of some deep scheme.

It was spite. Seeing a Level 75 awakener ranked above him had made him feel uncomfortable.

No matter how special the other party was, Varek had entered the Fourth Layer as a genuine peak Rank Four necromancer.

Being placed below a Rank Three being was naturally humiliating.

Before entering the arena, he had expected a simple victory. And in all honesty, his judgment had not been completely wrong.

If his opponent had been almost anyone else at this ranking range, he might already have won.

Unfortunately, his opponent was Michael.

Knowing the other party was very strong, potentially stronger than any single one of the three that had faced his undead High Drake earlier, Michael had no choice but to fight seriously.

Across the battlefield, Varek also quickly steadied his thoughts. Michael was troublesome. That much was undeniable. But troublesome did not mean undefeatable.

Since Michael had used a support skill to strengthen his undead, it was only fair that he used one as well.

Varek raised his bone staff. A dark ring of light spread beneath his feet.

"Bone King's Command."

The skeletal dragon beneath him released a thunderous roar. The wyvern's wings expanded. The bone chimera lowered its body as sharp bone spikes erupted across its back.

At the same time, a crown-shaped mark appeared above the heads of all three undead. Their auras rose together, and the soul flames in their eyes burned brighter.

Michael's gaze sharpened slightly.

"So he had a strengthening skill too."

The next moment, both sides moved.

The skeletal dragon opened its enormous jaws first.

ROOOOOAR!!

A torrent of pale-green dragon breath erupted forward. The freezing rain evaporated wherever it passed, leaving behind a trail of distorted air as the attack surged across the battlefield.

The High Drake reacted immediately. Its green eyes flared as it spread its enormous wings. Deep within its throat, blazing red flames rapidly gathered before erupting outward.

BOOOOOOM!!

A pillar of scarlet fire roared across the battlefield. The two breaths collided head-on.

The impact detonated like a collapsing volcano, generating violent shockwaves that swept across the frozen landscape. Dead forests were uprooted while countless chunks of black ice were hurled into the sky.

At almost the same instant, the skeletal wyvern folded its wings before diving toward one of the Black Serpent ancestors.

The serpent surrounded by blue flames slowly raised its enormous head. Its pupils narrowed. The blue fire coating its scales intensified until it resembled an ocean of sapphire flames.

Hiss!

Rather than retreat, it lunged directly toward the descending wyvern. The instant the two entered striking distance, the serpent opened its jaws. A torrent of azure fire burst skyward.

The skeletal wyvern beat its massive wings. Dark winds crashed against the incoming inferno.

BOOOOM!!

Blue flames erupted across its skeletal frame. Several ribs cracked beneath the impact, yet the wyvern forced its way through the sea of fire. Its razor-sharp claws slashed downward.

The serpent's enormous body twisted gracefully through the air. The claws barely grazed its scales before its burning tail whipped upward like a blazing spear.

BANG!

The strike smashed directly into the wyvern's ribs, sending the undead creature tumbling across the dark sky.

Meanwhile, the bone chimera had already charged toward the second Black Serpent ancestor.

Unlike its sibling, this serpent wasn't surrounded by blue flames. Soft pink fire danced elegantly around its enormous body. The flames appeared gentle. Almost beautiful.

The serpent coiled through the air before opening its mouth. Instead of launching ordinary fire, dozens of flower-shaped flames blossomed into existence.

Each resembled a fully bloomed lotus crafted entirely from pink fire. The blossoms drifted silently toward the charging chimera.

At first glance, they appeared harmless. Then they exploded upon contact.

BOOOOM!!

Pink flames erupted violently. Before the chimera could recover, more blossoms attached themselves across its massive skeletal body.

One. Three. Seven. In the blink of an eye, dozens of flaming flowers had bloomed across its bones.

The next moment, every blossom detonated simultaneously.
