Whether it was the ten figures inside the rapidly darkening barrier or the nearly one thousand wolves rushing toward Michael, everyone was stunned by the sight before them.

For a brief moment, their minds simply failed to comprehend what they were seeing.

One second ago, the sky behind Michael had been empty. The next, nearly two thousand figures had appeared in midair out of nowhere, filling the sky.

Humanoid figures of different heights, builds, and appearances floated behind Michael in complete silence, their green eyes collectively glowing in the darkness and creating an eerie, suffocating sight.

The figures inside the barrier went through a wave of complicated emotions. If that human youth had been trapped in the barrier with them, would they have come out unscathed?

What they didn't know was that Michael had simply been unlucky to lack enough peak Rank Four undead.

If he had possessed more, he would have had his undead match both the quality and quantity of those inside the barrier and dealt with them first. But he didn't, and being trapped in that space would have also meant being targeted by those monsters in an enclosed area.

Even with a large number of undead, the restricted space would have worked against him as well.

Of course, neither side knew the other's thoughts or the realizations that followed.

The phoenix stared outside the barrier with an increasingly ugly expression. Suddenly, his previous pursuit of Michael felt considerably more dangerous in hindsight.

If Michael had summoned all of these undead back then, the phoenix's expression darkened further.

Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, none of them had time to dwell on it.

The wolves outside were equally stunned. Their charge visibly slowed. Hundreds of crimson eyes stared upward at the enormous army filling the sky.

Michael noticed this. A faint smile appeared on his face.

'Finally scared?'

Nearly two thousand Rank Four undead. Even if most of them were only in the early stages of Rank Four, numbers like this should have been enough to make anyone reconsider their decisions.

Unfortunately, instead of retreating, their roars became even louder.

AWOOOOOOOO!

The air exploded as hundreds of enormous bodies charged even more fiercely than before.

"…"

Michael's smile disappeared.

"What is wrong with all of you?"

Did no one in the Origin Battlefield understand the concept of retreat? However, Michael had already summoned his undead. There was no longer any reason to back down.

His emerald eyes became cold.

"Attack."

The moment the command left his mouth, two thousand pairs of green eyes moved simultaneously. Then their bodies began to change.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The sound of shifting bones filled the sky. The humanoid appearances maintained by many of Michael's undead collapsed one after another.

Massive bodies expanded violently in midair.

In only a few seconds, the army of humanoid figures disappeared. In its place stood a legion of monsters.

With their true forms unleashed, dense Death Energy immediately flooded the surroundings.

Unlike the undead of other necromancers or wild undead, whose Death Energy often carried a filthy, decaying presence that clung to the skin like rotting mud and filled the air with an uncomfortable sensation of corruption, his undead were nothing like that.

The Death Energy surrounding them was dense. Pure. Almost frighteningly so. There was no disgusting feeling of filth. Only a bone-deep, soul-chilling cold.

Two thousand monsters filled the sky. The sight was horrifying. Yet the transformation wasn't over. Hints of red appeared in their eyes.

[Berserk]

A skill Michael had specifically selected for widespread Memory Infusion. He had encountered many useful skills since becoming an awakener, but Berserk remained one of the most suitable abilities for undead.

For living beings, the skill possessed obvious dangers and costs. Physical strain. Muscle damage. Loss of rationality. In extreme cases, permanent injuries. But undead didn't care about torn muscles.

They didn't fear pain, or have to worry about life energy or physique the way the living did. The primary cost of Berserk when adapted to their bodies was simply energy. As long as sufficient energy remained, they could maintain the enhanced state.

That was why Michael, who had finally had more time to himself over the past three months, had spent a considerable amount of it using Memory Infusion to spread the skill throughout his legion.

The results were now obvious.

BOOOOOOM!

Nearly two thousand Rank Four auras erupted simultaneously. The sky shook.

In terms of levels, Michael's undead were at a disadvantage. The wolves living within this Level 3 region had clearly existed for an extremely long time.

Their average level sat somewhere between Level 85 and Level 90. Meanwhile, many of Michael's undead had only recently entered Rank Four.

If even someone like Lily with all her foundation could only push herself to the early levels of Rank Four, what more could be said about ordinary undead?

Under normal circumstances, the difference in accumulated strength would have been painfully obvious, and the losses would have been severe. But Berserk violently narrowed that gap.

"Kill them."

Michael pointed forward.

The legion moved.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Two armies collided. The first impact devastated the forest.

Ancient trees hundreds of meters tall shattered beneath enormous bodies. Mountains trembled as wolves were thrown through stone, while flying undead crashed from the sky with monsters biting into their limbs.

A scaled wolf tore the throat from one undead. The undead didn't even react. Its claws wrapped around the wolf's body. A second undead descended.

BOOM!

The wolf disappeared beneath them.

Elsewhere, seven wolves surrounded an enormous giant undead. The giant roared. Its green-red eyes burned violently as it grabbed one wolf by the hind legs and smashed it into another.

The entire region descended into complete chaos.

Michael floated above it all, his eyes continuously moving across the battlefield. However, his attention didn't remain on the larger battle for long. His eyes soon locked onto five particular wolves.

It turned out the four wolves inside the black barrier weren't the only Level 100 monsters here.
