Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 117: What Do You Actually Like About Me?Angel
Well, it turned out that that demonic white fur cat is actually so cute and adorable. I really would like to adopt him as my son, but having him as a son-in-law will certainly do for now.
From the very first moment I touched his thick, fluffy fur to the soft way he gently purred under my fingers, he happens to be the absolute perfect match for my Coco. Coco really chose the best mate possible.
I noticed April has been completely silent ever since we left the restaurant. We were both walking side by side back to the Terrace building, and I had Coco securely strapped to my chest while she gently slept through the cool night air.
I reached out and lightly nudged the girl by my side with my elbow. She turned her head and looked up at me through those big round glasses of hers, her expression hard to read.
"What is it?" she muttered softly under her breath.
"Did Charlie actually apologize to you back at the table?" I asked, keeping my voice steady. That was honestly the only real reason I had made her come along with me in the first place, just so Charlie would formally apologize for everything she did to her back in school.
"Yes, she did apologize, but I still don’t like her at all," April replied, looking straight ahead as her shoes tapped against the ground. "Forgiveness is not something that is earned in a single day."
Even when she said that, something about the underlying tone of her voice felt entirely different than usual.
"So, did they say anything else to make you feel like this?" I pressed on, glancing down at her. "Because I really thought stepping on my leg under the table was already enough for you."
Before I could even finish saying that sentence, she suddenly turned and punched me hard right in my stomach.
That really freaking hurts. I tried my best not to show any visible pain on my face, but damn, this Omega really knows the exact spots on my body to hit to make it count.
"That punch is for tricking me into going to that kind of gathering," April said, pulling her fist back and glaring at me. "Never ever in your life lie to me again."
"I did not lie to you," I argued, holding my hands up defensively while keeping Coco safe on my chest. "I just said let’s go out for dinner together, and you didn’t even bother to ask who we were going with. You just went ahead and put on that beautiful dress and high heels. Why did you even dress up like that in the first place?"
"Do not try to flip the question on me, young lady," April snapped back, narrowing her eyes. "Okay, just accept your mistake right now and let’s go inside the terrace."
"Okay, okay, fine," I grumbled, rubbing my abdomen lightly. "But seriously, why do you always hit me every single time you get angry?"
"Because that is the absolute only way you get to understand that what you are doing is completely wrong," she stated firmly, stepping up to the entrance. "You simply do not listen to words."
Hearing her say that just made my entire mood change instantly, but I tried my very best to hide it just like I did the other time. I’m already used to getting hit by people, so I can easily take more of hers. It’s not like she does it without a valid reason anyway. But still, she really doesn’t have to resort to hitting me every time.
The moment we got right in front of the main building doors, I reached out and stopped her from walking inside. I needed to ask her something very important before we went up to the apartment.
"At the restaurant, when Tessa asked if we were in a real relationship," I began, my voice dropping a bit lower as I looked into her eyes, "if you actually had an answer ready, what was going to be your answer to her?"
I know I have always said that romance is not in my dictionary, but this whole thing between us is already turning into a real romance story, and I genuinely want our relationship to be something far more than what it has already become.
These past four months of being completely committed to her made me realize that I do not need to sleep around with more than one girl just to feel better about my day. I really like April. Not just because of the great sex we have, but because of the simple way she just goes easy with someone like me.
"I would have said no, we are definitely not in a relationship," April answered without even hesitating for a second. "We are not dating after all, just personal flings. Like an unrelated stepsister with benefits."
Okay, that was definitely not what I was expecting her to say out loud. But I decided to push forward and continue anyway.
"Before I ask you this next question, I want to ask, what do you actually like about me?" I asked, looking down at her hopefully.
I already know she likes me deep down. She has always shown it in the warm way she looks into my eyes, the soft words she uses when we are alone, and the adorable way she gently sniffs my hair when we cuddle.
"Okay, let me see," April said, tapping her chin as she pondered the question. "Hmm, what do I actually like about Angel Morningstar? Well, I really like the way she gives it to me."
"W-what do you mean by give it to you?" I stammered, my cheeks instantly heating up.
"I like having sex with you," she said plainly, looking me dead in the eye. "Girl, you take me to places I have never been to before. You wreck my entire system and then you fix it right back together. I really like the Diabla in you."
I stood there in silence for a moment, still waiting for her to say something more meaningful.
"I-is that all?" I asked softly.
"Yes, Angel, that is literally all," she confirmed with a small nod.
"There’s really nothing else? Like, something that doesn’t include sex at all?"
"No."
"What do you mean no?" I blurted out, feeling a sudden lump form in my throat. "What about my organs? You don’t like my internal organs or my heart?"
"You specifically mentioned before that you can’t give me your organs, except for your dick and your tongue," April pointed out calmly. "So there’s really nothing else to like about you."
If any other girl in the world had told me that the only thing she liked about me was the sex, I wouldn’t mind it at all. In fact, I would usually be totally thrilled to hear it.
But hearing this from April stung my chest in a way I wasn’t prepared for.
April doesn’t actually like me for who I am. She just likes our sex life.
And for the first time in my life, I desperately want her to like me far beyond that.
