Chapter 113: Chapter 113

Underneath her summer dress, Lane wore a black two-piece bikini.

It was the one she’d owned forever but was only just now wearing. She’d put it on ahead of time to skip the hassle of changing at the beach.

When the time came, she’d just have to slip the dress off and be ready to go.

Lane walked over to the bed where their beach bag was waiting. She’d packed clothes for herself, Ethan, and Calvin all in one bag to keep things simple, though the bulk of it was for the kid.

That’s just the mom life. Your kid’s needs always come first.

She was standing by the bed when Ethan walked into the room. She looked up and saw him heading her way, looking sharp in a white T-shirt, shorts, and shades.

Even with the sunglasses on, Lane could feel his intense gaze boring into her. It was the kind of look that pierced right through you.

Ethan stopped in front of her, and she straightened up, though he still towered over her.

She had to tilt her head back to meet his eyes. She held her breath as he gently brushed a few stray hairs away from her face.

"You’re really pretty," Ethan murmured, his baritone voice sending a shiver through her.

She couldn’t help but blush. She still wasn’t used to him being this direct with the compliments.

"Especially when you blush for me," he added, his eyes locked on her face.

"Fuck! I want to kiss you so bad." His gaze dropped to her lips, and he actually asked for permission. "Can I kiss you, Lane?"

"W-why are you even asking?" she whispered.

"So I don’t startle you. Every time I catch you off guard, your eyes go wide."

"Because... you always surprise me," she said.

"That’s why I’m asking first. I don’t want to freak you out."

"If you want to kiss me, just kiss me, Ethan," she said, a little breathless. "You’re talking too much—"

Ethan didn’t let her finish. He ripped off his sunglasses, grabbed the back of her neck, and crashed his lips against hers.

He didn’t waste a second, slipping his tongue into her mouth and exploring every inch of her.

She reached out and gripped his sides, closing her eyes and leaning into him, giving him total control.

She matched his rhythm, her tongue dancing with his as she tried to give back exactly what he was giving her.

Ethan was kissing her with pure hunger, like he wanted to devour her. Even as she tried to keep up, the intensity was almost too much. She felt his hand slide down to her waist, pulling her flush against him.

She let out a muffled moan when he pressed his lower body against her, making it very clear just how much this kiss was affecting him.

Her whole body was on fire, and she could feel the heat radiating off him.

The kiss got even more desperate. It became more passionate and raw. By the time Ethan finally pulled back, Lane was gasping for air. He kept his forehead pressed against hers, his eyes dark with desire.

"Fuck! I want you, Lane," he rasped. He pressed himself against her again, sending a fresh wave of heat through her.

She wanted him too—badly. She was already throbbing, and all she wanted was to feel him inside her. But they had a schedule.

Calvin had been up since the crack of dawn, and if she gave in now, their beach trip was definitely getting canceled.

"We have plans, Ethan," she managed to say.

"I know, but I’m losing it," he groaned. "I’m so close to exploding."

"Calvin’s waiting..."

"Five minutes," he pleaded.

"W-what?"

"Just five minutes, Lane. I promise."

He looked so desperate that she couldn’t say no. She wanted this just as much as he did.

She gave a small nod, and Ethan immediately dove back in for another kiss.

He scooped her up, one of her legs hooking around him, and carried her straight into the bathroom. He set her down but didn’t stop kissing her. He turned her around and hiked up the hem of her dress.

"Hold this, Lane," he instructed. She gripped the fabric of her summer dress, her heart pounding.

She bit her lip as he parted her legs and slid her panties aside. A shaky moan escaped her as he touched her, making sure she was ready.

Once she was slick for him, he didn’t hesitate. He rubbed his hardness against her until she was whimpering, and then, without warning, he sank into her.

"Ohhh...!"

"Fuck!"

They both groaned as he filled her

completely. With the clock ticking, Ethan didn’t play around. He grabbed her waist and started driving into her.

She braced one hand against the wall, nearly losing her balance as he delivered a series of deep, punishing thrusts.

He was relentless, claiming her with every move. When he hit her sweet spot, she couldn’t hold back the moans.

"Fuck, Lane!" Ethan growled, his pace picking up.

It was rough, deep, and fast. The sheer force of him nearly sent her forward that if she hadn’t been braced against the wall and held by him, she might’ve hit the tile.

She bit her lip to keep from screaming, but Ethan was past the point of being quiet.

"Fuck, Lane!" he growled like a beast. She lost it when he swiveled his hips, the friction sending her over the edge.

"Two minutes," Ethan panted.

He kept thrusting, harder and deeper with every stroke, until her whole body started to tremble. With one final, intense push, Lane hit her peak.

"One minute," Ethan counted down.

She was still trembling as he quickened the pace. The urgency was electric.

She let go of her dress to brace both hands against the wall as he lifted one of her legs to get even deeper. He moved in and out with total focus until his own body started to give out.

Ethan let out a wild growl as he climaxed, burying himself as deep as possible. He didn’t pull back, making sure he left every drop inside her.

"Time’s up," he rasped, his breathing heavy and ragged.

A soft moan escaped her as he finally pulled away. Her legs almost gave out when he let go of her, but he caught her just in time.

"You better start taking your vitamins, Lane, or your bones aren’t gonna hold up," Ethan joked, letting out a rough laugh.

She elbowed him in the ribs, which only made him laugh harder. Once he saw she could stand on her own again, he let go.

"Stay here," he said. He disappeared for a second and came back with some wet wipes.

"I-I can do it," she said, reaching for them.

"Let me." He didn’t give her a choice, gently cleaning her up before fixing her dress.

Lane closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead. He took her hand, intertwining their fingers, and led her out of the bathroom. He grabbed the beach bag on their way out of the room.

"I’ll go grab the food," Lane said a moment later.

"Already in the car," Ethan replied.

"Oh." So he’d been ready to go for a while. They were officially five minutes late, but neither of them seemed to mind.

"Calvin!" she called.

Their son looked up, jumped off the sofa, and ran over.

"Are we going now, Mommy?"

She nodded.

"Go ahead and get in the car with Daddy. I’m just going to do a final check of the house."

"Okay," Ethan said, letting go of her hand to take Calvin’s.

While they headed out, she did a quick sweep like checking the gas, the lights, and making sure the doors were locked.

Once everything was clear, she stepped out, only to run right into Troy coming out of the house next door.

"Going somewhere, Lane?" Troy asked, flashing a smile.

She opened her mouth to answer but was cut off by Ethan’s booming baritone.

"Love, Calvin’s looking for you. He says we gotta move."

Ethan was walking toward them with a look on his face that meant business. Lane didn’t want a scene, so she gave Troy a quick goodbye.

"See ya, Troy." She didn’t wait for a reply and headed straight for Ethan.

She practically dragged him away, seeing the way he was death-staring Troy. He was still clearly riding a wave of jealousy since hearing that Troy missed her and used to court her.

He’d spent half the morning grilling her about how long they’d known each other, if he’d ever come inside the house, and if she’d ever actually considered him. His voice had been so sharp she half-expected him to put out a hit on the guy.

Lane wanted to tease him about it, but he looked so serious she figured it was better to play it safe.

"Come on. You’re being jealous again."

"How can I not be? You still haven’t answered my question," he grumbled.

She stopped and looked him in the eye.

"You know it’s only ever been you, Ethan," she said softly.

"You’re the only man I’ve ever loved, then and now. Nobody even comes close."

Suddenly shy after dropping a truth bomb like that, she turned and headed for the car.

She expected him to be right behind her, but when she glanced back, he was just standing there, looking stunned.

She couldn’t help but smile. It looked like he wasn’t any better at hearing the heavy stuff than she was. But they’d both better get used to it. They had the rest of their lives to say it.
