Chapter 212: Chapter 6: Total Domination

Antagonism was deeply ingrained from the very first moment the two sides met.

Mo Ning was also a little speechless.

The dining hall opened for dinner at six o’clock, but it was already half-past six. In other words, the new students of the 117th class had been left hanging for a full thirty minutes before being allowed into Dining Hall No. 12.

How could they not be simmering with rage?

And how could they possibly feel any sense of camaraderie with the people in this new dining hall?

Mo Ning had only one word to describe the person who came up with this idea—asshole.

Wasn’t this just trying to stir up trouble?

His gaze swept over the uninvited guests, quickly locking onto a familiar face—Andy.

Andy’s Perception seemed exceptionally sharp. The moment Mo Ning looked his way, Andy turned to meet his gaze.

Their gazes clashed violently in mid-air, and each saw the utter coldness in the other’s eyes.

For Andy, this just piled a new grudge on top of an old one.

Andy’s lips moved slightly as he whispered something.

The gazes of several senior students around him snapped toward Mo Ning’s position.

Every gaze was hostile, some even brimming with malice.

A thought crossed Mo Ning’s mind, and he slowly rose to his feet.

After four months at the academy, he was no longer the timid boy who had to tread carefully at every turn.

Since they hadn’t come in peace, he decided to hit them hard.

He knew perfectly well that trying to persuade the senior students with words alone was a fool’s errand.

They would never sit down and talk things out until they had a few brutal brawls and one side completely crushed the other into submission.

As Mo Ning stood up, more eyes turned to him.

Without exception, the eyes of his fellow new students were filled with anticipation. They were waiting for their number one Strong Person to stand up for them.

Many of the senior students who had entered the dining hall also noticed Mo Ning’s movement, and the look in their eyes changed.

They did not interpret Mo Ning’s action as a gesture of goodwill.

"Hey!"

Mo Ning uttered a single word, his tone calm.

The word instantly echoed through every corner of the dining hall, striking everyone’s eardrums at nearly the same time.

All eyes snapped toward him.

Mo Ning casually took a step forward. Facing the sea of hostile gazes from the senior students, he said with a half-smile:

"You barge into our dining hall as ’guests’ without so much as a greeting. I don’t believe that’s a very polite way to behave."

This taunt, aimed at their entire group, instantly ignited the already explosive atmosphere in the dining hall.

A stir ran through the new students, while the senior students all glared in fury.

A burly senior with a full beard stepped in front of his group and barked coldly, "Kid, if you don’t know how to talk, you can just shut that foul mouth of yours. It stinks worse than a goblin’s."

He sneered, issuing a blatant threat:

"You should know that starting from the third month, nearly all the academy’s group assessments take place in the wild.

"During every assessment, there are always a few unlucky bastards who don’t make it back. I have reason to believe you’re very likely to be the next one."

The senior students around the man nodded, chiming in one after another:

"I think this guy’s an idiot."

"That’s right! Idiots tend to die especially quickly during the assessments!"

At that moment, the senior students dropped all pretense, and the verbal conflict reached a fever pitch.

Mo Ning suddenly waved his hand, his tone no longer as aggressive as before:

"Fellas, don’t get me wrong. What I’m really trying to say is, you entered the academy a year before me, so you’ve mastered more about Witchcraft and are stronger than I am.

"Since this is your first time setting foot in this dining hall, I think you should be treated to something better."

His words gave everyone the impression that Mo Ning had chickened out in the face of their death threats.

Although the word "treated" was a bit confusing, his words hardly sounded defiant.

The bearded senior paused for a second, then let out a few disdainful sneers and said in a condescending tone:

"Kid, let me teach you a lesson. Everyone has to pay the price for their mistakes!"

The subtext was glaringly obvious: they had said they would kill him, and they meant it.

Mo Ning suddenly took a few steps toward the nearby water wall. He glanced at the school of colorful fish swimming outside it and asked:

"By the way, do you want some fish? I bet they’re more delicious than what the dining hall is serving today."

The bearded senior was stunned.

Everyone, senior and new student alike, looked completely baffled.

Only Anya and Reina had a hint of a smile in their eyes. Knowing Mo Ning as they did, how could he possibly show weakness to the senior students?

Besides, he had already told them explicitly, "I’ve already prepared a way to deal with these guys."

Mo Ning didn’t wait for the bearded senior’s reply. He raised a hand and gently tapped the water wall, continuing as if to himself:

"I’ve been eating at this spot for several months, and I happened to discover a secret hidden within this water wall."

As he tapped, a faint point of light glowed at his fingertip. It flashed, struck the water wall, and instantly vanished into it.

The next moment, an astonishing scene unfolded.

Concentric ripples surged out from the point where the faint light had struck.

The ripples spread more than ten times slower than normal, looking exceptionally viscous, as if the entire wall of water were breathing slowly.

The students stared, dumbfounded.

The dining halls for both classes were underwater, and countless students had studied that water wall.

One touch was all it took to know that the wall was made of real water, yet it was incredibly hard. No matter how forcefully one pressed, it was impossible to leave a mark.
