During the time that John and Mel had been fighting Eler Cahro, an aircraft from a different nation had landed, and after taxiing to a stop, the door opened, allowing a beautiful Kitsune who wore a fashionable kimono with nine tails flowing behind her to disembark and enter a car along with another attractive female Kitsune who had eight tails and wore a business suit.
As the car sped out of the airport and towards the city, the business suit-wearing Kitsune began to speak, “Regarding your itinerary for the next few days, Shizu. You have a few hours to relax before dinner tonight with Jason Marks…”
“Ugh, do I have to, Tamamo?” Shizu complained. “He spends the entire time trying to sweet-talk me or give me gifts that do nothing. In all the times I’ve met him, he hasn’t once managed to find a key.”
“I’m well aware of that, just as you are well aware that the reason we put him first on the list was to get him out of the way while also making him feel special. He’s still a member of the Eloa Continental University, and it would be best not to make him your enemy before you even enrol.” Tamamo explained.
“Yes, yes,” Shizu replied while motioning for Tamamo to continue, who nodded and said, “Tomorrow morning you will dine at the Palace of Dawn with Empress Alexia and Princess Adria.”
“Far more enjoyable; it’s been too long since I saw Adria. I do hope we get some classes at university together,” Shizu said happily as Tamamo continued. “Tomorrow evening you have a meal arranged with Princess Adria, Sarah Lapis and Melissa Delacruz. After that you're essentially free until the Eloa Continental University welcome party.”
“Ugh, lame,” Shizu complained while rolling her eyes. “It’s more of a meet and greet than an actual party. They claim it’s for those of a lower standing in society to be able to interact with royalty and nobility since statuses wavered at the university, but it’s all horse shit.”
“Language,” Tamamo reprimanded, though Shizu just ignored her and continued. “While it may appear that way on the surface, your family's status and wealth still mean everything behind the scenes. The university is still far more likely to expel a commoner for stealing than a royal. It’s such a pain that I’m forced to study there.”
“Perhaps, but it is part of the Genesis Agreement,” Tamamo replied as the car finally entered the city.
Shizu sighed before smiling as she said, “At least I get to stay in that amazing penthouse suite at the Eclipse Views.”
Tamamo coughed awkwardly before saying, “Yes, about that.”

“Still no luck, huh?” Sarah Lapis asked as she dried her hair with a towel while another towel covered her body.
“No, I’m completely stuck,” PrincessAlea Keagwyn stated from a holographic screen with a sigh. She didn’t seem to mind that Sarah was only wearing a dressing gown, almost as if this was common practice for the pair.
Sarah nodded and said, “At this rate you might really have to ask for help from a druid.”
“I know,” Alea sighed. “Makes me wish I had chosen the druid class back then.”
“If you had, you wouldn’t have gotten this quest.”
“True, but why is there even a cleric quest that requires you to speak to animals in the first place?” Alea complained.
“Tia probably never considered your situation when she created it,” Sarah replied. “I mean, as the elven princess, finding a druid to help you should be easy.”
“The issue is, as soon as I ask one, word will inevitably make its way back to that snake, who will then threaten or buy off the person I ask and replace them. Therefore leaving me stuck with him for the quest.”

“And should you end up completing the quest, you will inevitably owe him one,” Sarah said with understanding. “Not the ideal situation when he’s only pursuing you for your position as princess.”
“Such is the life of a princess in our world,” Alea sighed. “It wasn’t like this eighty years ago, you know. It’s only recently that nobles have got it into their thick skulls to try to woo a princess to gain the throne.”
“Such is the life of an impossible princess,” Sarah teased, before remembering her conversation with John and giggling.
Alea pouted while asking, “Is my situation such that it causes you to giggle?”
“No, no, sorry,” Sarah apologised. “I was just remembering how John had no idea that Adria was an impossible princess, or even what the impossible princesses are.”
“Really?” Alea asked in surprise. “I thought every man knew about that crap Genesis News made up. I mean, the list contains women from every race.”
“Apparently not every man,” Sarah said with a smile.
Alea smiled at her friend before asking, “So have you asked him to accompany you to the Genesis Agreement Banquet?”
“No,” Sarah replied as she finished drying her hair and sat down on her sofa. “We’re not that close yet, and honestly it feels strange asking a guy out instead of being asked out.”
“Seriously, if you didn’t have such a track record with ex-boyfriends, you'd be a member of that list too.”
“Unfortunately, unlike you and Adria, I’m too gullible and easy for men to get their claws into,” Sarah sighed.
“That might have been the case back then, but it’s different now,” Alea replied. “You seem to have matured more than ever after the whole Daniel breakup.”
“Maybe,” Sarah said thoughtfully before thinking of something and saying. “That’s right, Shizu should be arriving today, and we will be having a girls' night tomorrow.”
“Aww, I haven’t seen Shizu in so long. I’m so jealous I can’t join you.” Alea replied before asking. “She’s in Eclipse City for her mandatory university attendance, right?”
“Yeah,” Sarah nodded. “She and Adria are the same age, and both will be starting there later this year. Perhaps I should recommend that John apply; he’s more than smart enough.”
“Maybe, but does he have the grades?” Alea asked while frowning. “I mean, did he even take any of his final exams during the four months he didn’t play Genesis?”
“Err, I have no idea,” Sarah said honestly.
“If not, then you could have a problem,” Alea sighed. “While attendance is mandatory for nobility regardless of their results, the same can’t be said for non-nobility. Although I hate the term, commoners require a certain pass rate from their final exams to attend.”
Sarah sighed before asking, “Is there no other way?”
“There is,” Alea nodded, reigniting Sarah’s hopes, or at least until she continued. “First, he would need a recommendation from a racial leader of three different continents to attend, for example, the human leader, the elf leader and the dwarf leader.
After that, he would need to pass a test equal to those held halfway through the year, before finally passing an interview.”
“Why is it so hard?” Sarah asked in surprise, causing Alea to smile before she explained. “To make sure not just anyone is admitted and they are worthy to be there; after all, the other non-nobility have earned the right to be there, so how is it fair that someone gets in on recommendation alone?
The requirement of the three racial leaders' recommendations is so that influential people can’t influence one single leader to recommend someone; after all, it’s rare for someone to have influence over three separate races, let alone those of different continents.
The test is to make sure he’s smart enough to be there, while the interview is a way to judge his character.”
“Getting my aunt's recommendation would be easy, but the other two…” Sarah began before giving Alea a hopeful look.
“Nope, don't even ask,” Alea replied. “It would probably be easier to get the recommendation of every other leader combined before my mother.”
“Ugh,” Sarah groaned.
