[Party Leader Dream Star has taken Environmental Damage]
“MEL!” John shouted in alarm as he quickly reached out to support her body when he saw that she was about to collapse.
“I’m, I’m fine,” Mel gasped. “The damage has ceased.
John sighed before asking, “What caused it?”
“I don’t know,” Mel replied as she gently pushed John away. However, no sooner had she done so than she fell back into his arms again as he received a notification.
[Party Leader Dream Star has taken Environmental Damage]
“You ok?” John asked after he saw the notification pop up again.
Mel nodded and said, “Yeah, the damage has stopped again.” Before trying to move away from John again, however, this time he refused to let go while saying. “For some reason it seems that I’m immune to this environmental damage and that you're also immune if we stay connected.
Mel nodded and quickly looked around to hide the small flush that had crept up her cheeks. {Why am I getting too embarrassed at John holding me? I hold the hands of my fans all the time, and they even pay for it. I make sure he pays me back with interest for this service.]
After looking around for a few seconds and getting her thoughts in order, Mel said, “I didn’t know Genesis contained an underworld.”
“I guess that explained the whole Anubis thing, but how are we even here?” John nodded and replied while he looked around, when suddenly something flew up from the side of the tower and looked down at them.
As the pair looked up in alarm, they were surprised to see that it was some kind of woman, except her hands were wings and she had talons for feet. “A harpy,” John said in surprise.
“What’s this, what’s this? Tyro heard a yell, and what does Tyro find, but two humans and they even seem to know what Tyro is, but Tyro doesn’t know them, no, no, no, Tyro doesn’t recognise them. But how did two humans come to be in the underworld and, better yet, atop the Tower of Seven Kings? Tyro doesn’t know.”
As Tyro curiously looked down upon the pair, a beam of starlight suddenly pierced the underworld’s gloom as it shot down from the sky and struck the plateau they were standing upon, attracting eyes from every direction.
“AHHH, IT BURNS, IT BURNS,” Tyro screamed as she backed away from the starlight while covering her eyes.
As John and Mel were bathed in the starlight and it began to gather at their location and amazingly take shape, six of the seven thrones suddenly became occupied by individuals who stared down at the light show with interest.
“What's this? It seems two humans have somehow found their way to the underworld.” A human-looking male with Deverishly handsome good looks said in amusement.

“Don’t be an idiot, Lucifer; can’t you see that the boy holds a Sheolarbiter Badge?” A strange woman who appeared to be both alive and dead replied. One side of her body looked like that of a living, normal woman, while the other side was like that of a dark, rotting corpse, and she seemed to carry a perpetually gloomy, downcast, grim, and fierce look on her face.

“Of course I can, Hel. I was just surprised; it’s been a long time since we had any visitors from the world of the living after all,” Lucifer replied.
“That’s because the world of the living is supposed to be sealed, allowing only the dead to pass,” A regal, bearded, middle-aged man with a dark, gloomier majesty said.
“Hades is correct,” replied a wrathful, imposing judge with dark skin and fierce, bulging eyes, who wore traditional robes and a crown.
“For once,” A partially mummified pharaoh with green and black skin and a curved royal beard, who held a crook and flail, commented.
A powerful, winged nude goddess with bird talons that was flanked by owls and wore a horned crown while holding a rod and ring sighed before saying, “Don’t start, Osiris; now isn’t the time.”
“Ereshkigal is correct; our third guest has almost finished forming after all,” Hel stated before all six individuals went quiet and watched as the starlight continued to manifest itself into an enormous bear that towered over the two humans.
John and Mel failed to grasp the magnitude of the starlight bear, for it had formed around them, as if wanting to keep them safe.
“Lord Ursa, we, the Seven Kings of the Underworld, welcome you, King Yamma announced.
“Ugh, I hate that title,” Hel complained.
“I know, it’s so sexist and five centuries ago,” Ereshkigal stated.
“Enough,” Hades sighed. “You three always bring that up whenever it’s mentioned.”
“Because it’s true,” Hel complained.
The starlight bear known as Lord Ursa seemed to cough slightly before it began to growl and roar at the six seated individuals.
“Err, are you following this?” Mel whispered, to which John shook his head.
“Forgive my interruption, Lord Ursa,” Lucifer suddenly said with a smile that could entrance any woman, and indeed John noticed that Mel blushed slightly upon seeing it. “But it would appear that your two young friends are incapable of understanding you.”
Lord Ursa seemed to frown slightly before he leaned down and breathed over the pair of them. As it did, starlight seemed to pass through their bodies until the pair received a notification.

“That should fix the problem,” Lord Ursa stated, and both John and Mel were surprised that they could suddenly understand him as he continued. “As I was saying. I greet the Seven Kings of the Underworld and pray you pardon my sudden intrusion, but these two should not be here. I simply came to bring them back to the world of the living.”
“On that we can agree,” Osiris replied before Hades spoke. “The boy carries with him a Sheolarbiter Badge; you all know what that means.”
“Preposterous,” Hel scoffed. “You would make a living human a Sheolarbiter? Such a thing has never been done before.”
“I agree with Hel,” King Yamma replied. “A living being is not suitable to be a Sheolarbiter.”
“Then how do you explain the badge choosing him?” Ereshkigal asked. “The badges are designed to seek out suitable candidates to become Sheolarbiter.”
Lucifer stroked his chin before asking, “Why was a badge even in the world of the living to begin with?”
“Boy! Tell us how you came to possess a Sheolarbiter badge,” Hades suddenly ordered as the Six Kings of the Underworld, the giant starbear, Tyro, who was still flapping around and Mel all looked at John.
John gulped slightly before saying, “I’m afraid I have no idea what a Sheolarbiter is or this badge you're talking about.”
“Hmm, he doesn’t appear to be lying,” Ereshkigal stated before adding. “But if that's true, how do you explain this?” As she finished speaking, Ereshkigal waved her hand, causing the strange circular object with the image of the Anubis head to appear from his body before a notification window appeared before him.
[Sheolarbiter Badge.]
[A badge created by the Sheolarbiter class to seek out those worthy of becoming a Sheolarbiter.]
{Well, that’s thoroughly unhelpful.} John thought with a sigh as the object finally revealed its information, only for said information to be everything he just learnt.
“Speak, boy; do not think you can lie to us,” Hades demanded before power seemed to radiate out from him as he added. “We are the rulers of the seven hells, and in the underworld nothing can remain hidden from us.”
“Except your Helm of Darkness,” Lucifer muttered, making the other four smirk and causing Hades to glare at him.
“I don’t know how I acquired it,” John replied, causing everyone to turn back to him. “I killed someone in self-defence, and when I went to check their body, this thing flew out of them and into me.”
“Then the question is, how did this other person acquire the badge?” Lucifer stated before asking John. “Was there anything special about them?”
“Nope, just your regular high school bully,” John replied.
Lucifer's eyes lit up with interest as he said, “Ohh, sounds like the two of you had history.”
“Perhaps,” John shrugged before adding. “It felt good to kill him, though.”
The six kings and Lord Ursa showed mild surprise at John’s response before Lucifer laughed out loud and said, “I bet it did.”
“The question of how he came to acquire the badge can wait,” Lord Yama stated. “For now, we need to decide what to do about this situation.”
“You allow them both to return with me, that’s what?” Lord Ursa stated in a growl.
“Calm yourself, Lord Ursa,” Hel cautioned. “You know very well that the Sheolarbiter and their badges fall under the domain of the seven… kings.”
“Did that hurt?” Lucifer asked in amusement, causing Hel to glare at him before continuing.
